ghost of a Polish servant trying to haunt a castle, but it's 2021 and no one's there [PL/ENG]

- today we're visiting a stunning royal castle in the middle of my hometown! last time I visited it was in like 1898, so I'm very grateful for the opportunity to shoot something silly there.
I teamed up with the Royal Wawel Castle in Kraków to make a video for all the kids and highschoolers stuck at home this winterbreak. If you're one of them, well, this one's for you too!
"Ferie po królewsku" (which roughly translates to "A Royal Winter Break") is a project in which Polish castles and museums provide unique online content. You can check it out by visiting social media and websites of these noble institutions:
✨Warsaw Royal Castle
✨Kraków Royal Castle
✨Sandomierz Royal Castle
✨Łazienki Królewskie Museum
✨Malbork Castle Museum
✨Lublin Castle Museum
✨Salt Mine Museum in Kraków/Wieliczka

Lol
Well, nobody is going to carpet-beat antiques. They'd be too fragile.
@@Mecharnie_Dobbs Lol now I can imagine the Polish servant ghost haunting the curator nagging him to have the carpets beaten. While hes/she trying to convince themselves they are not insane for trying to explain to a ghost why the carpet can't be beaten.

This is cracking me up! I think this needs to be a series. “Modern haunting in ancient places.” Or something like that.
Polish people are my favorite European people. As a Lithuanian this took lots of gall for me to say
We are stronger together! Greeting from Poland.
“The last time I visited it was in 1898”
So, meme mom has admitted to her immortality I see.
The fact that I have to turn on subtitles to understand what she's saying, somehow adds to the character of this ghost
This meme transcends time, the language barrier, the boundaries of the spirit world, I am fully complete in this world and will begin my own haunting training immediately.
Beautiful comment :) Are you Czech?

“When surface is shiny, people’s legs get whiny” please I need to know the original line in Polish
Błyszcząca posadzka - na człeka zasadzka. Pretty much "shiny floor - a trap for a human". Though she used kind of an old-timey word for "human" and a fancy word for "floor", and I don't really know a good equivalent for these.

100% here for more polish spoken content! this was awesome. *waves tiny poster* "More native spoken content from non-english speaking youtubers"
Thats a great point! I said the exact same thing where one of my fave youtubers made a video in his native Italian.
@@amjan that's so cool! I feel like it will help make the internet feel less north american-centric. Also it makes different languages/cultures feel less other/alien. (I'm Norwegian, for context)
@@GreenMonkeyToaster What I especially dislike is that English has become prestige and gloryfied, so that young people look down upon their own languages. Also, we all became disconnected from our brother nations. E.g. I watch the Ecolinguist channel and saw a guy from Denmark say that 30 years ago people in all scandinavian countries watched each other's TV programs and met together, so that every Dane could understand some Swedish and some Norwegian and vice versa and communicate using their own languages. Today all young Scandinavians speak English to each other as if they were complete strangers. That's sad, isn't it?
@@amjan i agree! I used to judge germany/spain/etc for dubbing so much of their imported media, but it keeps the language and culture alive. It's a lot like you said, our own language isn't considered cool. So there's not a lot of new media (especially music) in native languages. Especially in scandinavia (or so I feel)
I didn't know you were from Krakow !! Visited twice ( and went to Wawel) The most beautiful city in the world !!❤❤
Idk why but I love listening to other languages. Its really calming to not have a clue what people are saying, but to just listen to the sounds...
It sounds weird, but its just relaxing.
The snow looks great, considering I'm here in Brazil last time I saw snow was: never.
It's nothing to be jelous. Snow is cool when it's lay few days, when you see it 3 months from a row, you get depresed, it's cold, wet and hard to walk.
@@siejac7894 still sounds more appealing than melting. But I cannot speak for sure until I experience it 😂
@@denisebarros410 melting is not the most pleasure thing either, when you have always wet, cold feets and when you must pay heating bill. Snow for people of south it's only charming because thet don't have it:)
