Where do I get this engine
You could put a small HSP computer fan on the radiator to help with cooling if needed, I believe I saw fan mounting holes on it.
Is that US$ or AU$?
I’m not big into RCs but these little engines would be great to put on desk and just start it whenever you feel like it .
Cool stuff
@@chris2pher44
LOL. You mean, whenever you need a drag, start it and smell the roses (fumes)?
The fact you get to assemble it just makes me wanna buy it even more.
Where do you buy them from?
@@LordPrecision yeah. for this price, o get my debi senda, true fact. it was project. but engine was after MAJOR REPAIR, IDK HOW YOU CALL IT BUT IT RUNS. I WANNA THIS ENGINE SO BAD MAN. BUT NOT NOW

Bad spot for the water outlet. think a 90 degree fitting would fix that before pipe gets caught in the fan or cam belt
Agreed
Yeah that placement seems very risky. Definitely wouldn't want to keep it like that.
I do not understand how such a design error can occur
@@xohi $$
If they put a 90 bend on, they'd have to machine it so it always pointing in the same direction, that would cost money so they'd rather just let the customer deal with it

That's me🤣
That hose to the radiator wrapping around the belt, man that just seems like a bad design
Not to mention the fact it has to be ran in front of the Spinning Death Fan. I can't imagine this having very high tolerances for movement.
@@actualhyena Add electronic fan with NTC and there it goes
I mean, I'm impressed they got this engine this small... But c'mon. Even the designers in the 70's didn't do that kind of stuff.
Wow when i saw that, it just ridiculous how can they design something like that!😱
Needs an elbow or something there.
I want to see that in an RC BOAT! That would be a badass.
Wanna See this in a ae86 rc car 😂
I’m doing the inline two cylinder in a boat :)
Yes! 100% This engine would be so cool in a boat.
It would have to be a really small boat. My 50” cat has a single cylinder 30cc 2 stroke. And it’s nothing special as far as speed goes. And here we have a nitro 4 stroke at 14cc. I’m not saying it wouldn’t be cool but not really practical

Thank you so much for actually going indepth with this model. Warped Perseption just did one on it but dude really slapped his together, had no idea the rad actually mounted on to the motor as he just left it lose and was talking about using a cpu fan for it. His also idled terrible and never let it just run smoothly or did anything with it other than just rev the piss out of it everytime!
I was saying to warped perception, they should make a 2JZ version with the same power to weight ratio as a 1000hp tune up.
Dont you mean power to capacity (as in volume)
@@tiagobelo4965 yes but that would vary due to the reciprocating forces, thermodynamics, aerodynamics and friction when its compared to a real 2JZ with a turbo/s. That's why I mentioned power to weight ratio.
@@junatah5903 not really, and power/weight ratio on an engine, though useful, is awfull for these sorts of things, since the weight doesn't scale linearly with the volume, also, how do thermodynamics and aerodynamics play a part in the power of an engine? I can kind of understand reciprocating forces (which is pretty much what i was saying, since that is what gets called torque once converted to rotational motion) and friction, which also doesn't scale linearly with volume.
Also, why try to make yourself sound smart when that actually makes you sound like an idiot, really, just write/speak normally half of what you said doesn't have any correlation to what either of us said (or is just an unnecessarily complicated way of saying something that does have one)
@@tiagobelo4965 well with smaller engines, heat can dissipate faster and is less likely to over heat and aerodynamics which I was meant to say fluid dynamics because air will get sucked in at a higher velocity for it's size.
This basically is the same power to weight ratio as a 1000hp 2JZ. 3hp, just over 1kg
Would love to see this in a 1/6th scale RC. Custom chassis and all. I would say go for it!
Even a 1/5th scale I think is too small for this.
1/6th looks fine...
@@DM-qm5sc I own a 1/5 scale RC. That motor (in my mind) is not big enough to run a 1/5th. Seeing as 1/5 scale RC's tend to run off of a 30cc petrol 2 stroke with higher displacement. I think this motor is much more suited for a 1/6th. Want it to go quick. Not a crawl :P.
@@Daniel_Blake i wouldn't even say that it has enough power to drive a 1/6 scale, if you think about how heavy they are in comparison. +The V4 with almost same stats couldn't drive his 1/8 scale rc car (The one he build), because it was to heavy. I own 3 different 1/8 Nitro Rc's, and in my opinion a 1/6 - 1/5 just would be too heavy and big for this 'little' engine. But why not, let him try it out. Although it's going to be nice ;D
@@VioDieHeisse though the displacement and general cc of the V4 was pretty low in the first place. Good for high speed. Not so great for torque. This could go in to 1/6th. Though chassis would need to be a mix of metal, carbon fiber and maybe 3D printed nylon parts to keep the weight down. Mix that with the correct gearing. Should be fine.
That's a smooth little engine! Sounds so much less lumpy than the Toyans you;'ve tried prevoiusly.

1/6 is kinda big for a 3 ps engine, isn't it?
@@GeorgeTsiros it's perfect, brushless motors for 1/5 cars rarely produce this much power.
@@leemilica hmmm well, i guess the deciding factor will be the weight of the car and the gearing?
@@GeorgeTsiros true, almost all rc cars have gear reduction. You could brobably make a whole monocoque chassis out of carbon and aluminium, this engine would be plenty strong to power it.

connect two 4 cylinders in V and get a V8!!
Even at 13000RPM they become quite long. Just think about the ugly two-stroke RC engine set-ups. I would be far better to use a 3 cylinder engine, where the valve openings do not overlap. So intake and exhaust valves can be merged right at the block with "scale" short header turbo like manifolds. Then tune using the exhaust pipe and the intake pipe. Also only one carburetor to tune, please.

Hey Johnny I have a super cool challenge for you. Lately I’ve been wondering what the highest speed (RPM) you could possibly achieve would be, be it a mini supercharger or a vacuum cleaner powered rotary tool or whatever else, I’m just wondering how fast you can get something spinning with just air like 500,000+ RPM would be awesome and I’m really interested in seeing what the best route for achieving the highest possible RPM would be.
I dont know man, centrifugal forces are so high at tens of thousands or even hundreds of thousands of RPM that they can literally rip the whole mechanism apart, you would have to make it super sturdy, with like a good amount of strong steal, but then you wouldnt have the power to spin it to such ridiculous RPMs. There is a reason even F1 engines top out at 20,000 RPM, the wear and tear of the material would be insane, not to mention friction and the overall generated heat, it would literally melt itself
Take another one and merge them into a v8 😉

This miniature engine seems to be no joke.
Curious of the specs: how many Ounce-inches of torque? And how many My Little Ponies are you able to theoretically put to the ground?
Pardon the changes to the norm, but as it’s a scale version I had to adjust for deflation, not inflation. Altering the verbiage allows it to be understood due to relative size.
I really wish there was a small engine like this with a more advanced oiling system so mixing oil with the fuel wasn't needed.
