My bad experiences with people has taught me that you can't always be patient and understanding with everyone. We all exist on a moral spectrum and sometimes bad things happen to bad people but that doesn't necessarily justify their actions. Serving their best interest isn't a good thing because it improves their well-being which empowers them to do more harm on others. Kindness only invites disrespect. So, setting boundaries is crucial, but this is often met with resistance, which is where the tantrums play a part.
Hi Gab!! thanks for sharing your insight. I’ve been going through something similar, it’s tough. I think the shitty people are teaching me not to internalize everyone’s criticism of me if I want to stay sane 🤣 Not everyone will understand you or wants to, which is hard to accept but I’m getting there. I’m inspired by your cool-headedness and ability to reflect. wishing you the best!!🤍
You're getting there. MY opinion should basically mean nothing to you.... but if you care, I think you're on the right track with your logic. Stay diligent about what you're thinking and why... and I think you will get there (to where you can 100% not GAF). It takes a lot of introspection and most cannot do it.... so I hope you'll be able to do it for yourself. It would be interesting to have a conversation with you.... something I wish someone like me would have done for me when I was your age. Makes me wonder if I laid it all out for you as a path that doesn't really waver.... you could use it and just have some level of higher confidence that you're going to "make it"... if that would help you or not. Hang in there. You're adorable in your approach and I love that you're looking into things and making decisions about if something that happened in your life is your fault or responsibility. or not. LOVE it.
🥲 I needed this video SO badly. I’ve been having a rough few months and you & Dustin have so much wisdom and I’m really glad you shared it with us. I find that viewing people as “toddlers” really helps me, too! Last year I had a difficult experience that plunged me into depression. Someone I had placed on a pedestal treated me like $h!t and it brought me down so low. But I learned not to place my self-worth on how other people view me (in their own triggers and trauma) and I am not responsible for others’ feelings. It was a hard lesson in learning to create boundaries when someone was so cruel to me, publicly. But I found compassion for myself and began to tap into my inner wildness, so the lessons are more valuable than I can say.
Love this comment and thank you for sharing🙏❤️ love how you mention that how people treat you isn't a reflection of you but of what you're triggering within them, and sometimes that is just out of you control. Take care my friend!
