    He was later interviewed about his sleep schedule and said that he would sleep 7 hours because that 3-4 hour sleep wasn’t helping him.

      Yeah 3-4 hours of sleep everyday is ridiculously short for the most people. Even guys like Kobe who is elite athlete, eats only healthy food and taking care of their body like no one else, had to sleep 6 hours eventually. If you sleep too long, thats a waste of time but too short doesn’t help you neither.

    • @Smelllikenewports
      @Smelllikenewports 2 роки тому +422

      @@EnzoGorlomi you also have to take into account just pure age difference. Younger people stay up way later and are able to wake up early if need be. The older you get, the more energy you need so you sleep more. He later said in his career that he changed from this 3-4 hrs of sleep to about 6-7 hrs

      Yep, when you have some f'ed up mutant biology and only need 3 hours of sleep, somehow, instead of the 9+ hours science has shown over and over that athletes need to properly recover, you have 6 more hours to kick it with the fam, who would have thunk? I'd even argue that those 3 hours are really just laziness, just don't sleep at all, do all of your day's work while the fam is sleeping, kick it with the fam from the moment they wake up until the moment they go to sleep. Only lazy minds let their fam wait around for them until noon to kick it

    Balance is the name of the game ladies and gentlemen. As much he wanted to be great and put the time into do so he still mentions being with his family. Don’t work for the happiest moment of your life to be alone if you have people you love. Kobe taught me this when his parents didn’t show up for his first championship and sat in the locker after one of his ultimate goals at what looked like his lowest moment on earth because he couldn’t share it with them R.I.P KOBE BEAN BRYANT AND ALL THE OTHERS IN THAT TRAGEDY

    • @Hubcool367
      @Hubcool367 2 роки тому +6

      Everyone knows the real killer mentality is not sleeping at all. How lazy do you have to be to not be able to kick it with the fam before noon? Stop sleeping, do the 8 hours of work you have to do in 2 hours (anymore than that is just a sign of weak mentality), start kicking it with the fam hours before they even wake up. Now THAT is killer mentality

    Man Kobe be speaking the facts because if your job is only to play basketball why not have his mentality or question him getting up so early whatever he's saying it makes a lot of sense because now you can spend time with the family then people say yeah man I don't I don't have enough time to spend with my kids but he's making a validated point right now

      @@dlc85007 There are people that need less sleep than others. So him getting 3 hours of sleep might be like someone getting 5-6 hours of sleep. The effects can go unnoticed for a while. You may not notice your heightened blood pressure or memory loss. You could think depression or anxiety is a symptom of just being stressed, when in reality it could be sleep deprivation. Just because they know more about anatomy doesn't mean they can notice these subtle things.

    Kobes work ethic was second to none. Derrick rose took that with him and used it at after his injuries. Remember rose saying that he loved kobe so much after he passed away that he never copied his moves or anything but one thing he took from kobe was his grind and work ethic. One of the reasons rose is still in the league today that work ethic to push himself to be on a roster after those devastating injuries he’s had . Kobe till this day motivates so many players today. Very weird that he passed away just doesn’t seem real. kobe will forever be a legend and one of the best players up there with MJ
