Now you need to start a "Round Bloke to Race Bloke" series. 😂
😂😂😂 low blow!
😂😂😂 how many seconds would that shave?
Excellent suggestion
Basically just "fat chat" from the news
Bingo🎉
Fantastic! Amazing how close your overlayed laps were
Thanks dad 👊🏼
Sorry to hop in here but I can't tag you boy's 😔, still waiting on a 44 teeth track day. Already planned it for you, check my comment on the ducati track day vid. All the love lads, you included lamb chop.
Go Honda's & Norton's
I'm a drag bike racer
🐓 sucker
Loving this series. Hats off for the editing in this one and the data overlay.
From budget to track weapon. Amazing how much Chris has improved. You boys are like a proper race team with sponsored flamingo burgers and everything.
Chris......been watching you for many years now..........your riding is very impressive now, seeing you improve has been awesome.
Completely loved the dashboard. Fantastic video as always! Thank you, boys.
I love that snarl. Many bikes can bark, but this one is magic
I would love to see a suspension guy help out before you guys remove the oem stuff. Awesome series!
Same here. Proper springs, setup and geometry adjustments can go a long way with OEM suspension. Either way, correct springs are a must for any track bike. Aftermarket suspension, not so much.
DAVE MOSS
Agree. Besides, most of us won't be able to afford a full Ohlins system. By doing a cheaper yet good suspension setup, and then installing the Ohlins, you can compare the actual difference in performance and lap times. That would be fantastic for us viewers. Thanks for these videos; can't wait for the next one.
Yes. Incremental upgrades. Do springs then valves then full go fast parts
@@TeznaGFX Think they could do better or at least equal as that self proclaimed guru
Chris, You are doing wonders working on bikes compared with even three years back. You obviously like to know how and why something ticks, and have some fun doing it.
This was an incredible episode. The overlayed laps were fantastic to see. Really well produced lads
Just bought a R1 for track, stumbled on the channel, great content. I just enjoy video like this, 2 blokes that love what they do.
I'm shamelessly in love with 44Teeth, always have been. But I particularly love this series - it's super interesting and informative.... but way less boring than that sounds cause it's funny af too.
Love how you are being methodical about testing part by part, so you can understand how much time is gained. Really well thought out test.
as far as my bike, tires, confident brakes and comfortable ergonomics are my main concerns for starting mods, so good on you for starting there. contrary to some peoples natural instincts, power is the last thing to worry about...
Such a great series. Take it to the track boys. That’s what these bikes are for.
Loving this series chaps! I could watch both of you ride all day long, you both rock! Chris your riding has improved massively and it's been awesome to see you progress so much!
This series has inspired me in my own build and has got me so hype to bring my rsv4 to the track at the end of the year. Good work lads
Really cool to see what you can get for little money, respective to other bike builds. Now if you two can make it to the US, in the winter, come out to Arizona and there's an incredible track with amazing facilities (chefs too) to offer a great experience!
Best series 44T have done, cheers
Fantastic start to the series lads, I did my first track day at Silverstone last summer on my Ninja 400, turned up with nothing other than myself, the bike and a rucksack! Completely clueless but had such a good time. Just got a 2020 ZX6R last week and would love to track it this year hopefully, probably with some tuition. Really enjoying seeing the gradual upgrades and results, great info for a novice like myself 👍🏼
The ultimate MOD for a faster lap time SHIRLEY will be, 44Teeth Decal kit on da bike!
One MOD you boys seem to of overlooked at this point is, remove the wing mirrors for better aerodynamics? 🤪
Small thing but every little bit counts!
Awesome stuff guys, you guys are super close in laptimes so a great comparison!
Nothing beats the feel a new set of slicks gives......one of them things most people will never experience...
I booked Brno with them solely based on your very strong recommendation… 🙄 Really well organised and very helpful and friendly people. Second track ’day’ after 25 years not riding. Such fun.
cheapest mod is to drop a few KG on the rider; but yes it is a bike mod so pretty awesome you guys are showcasing these adjustments to improve overall performance!
Really enjoy this bang for buck type of series.
What can be done with smart money in key areas, then what can be down with taking it further.
This popped up while I was rewatching BBB 1... can't complain 👍🏻
Fantastic series
What I like to do most on track. Is try and stay shiny side up.
Great video and incredible, just how close your times are. Really interesting video. Thanks.
Cracking shots great editing, a really fun professional episode.
What a great feature. Loved the 2 bike lap, different styles, similar times. 👍🏻
One of those videos that you don't want to end, great series guys 👍
Loving this series.
The team lap footage is fascinating and really great step by step info in general. Thanks boys.
Definitely my favorite series so far.
This is my favorite series by far!! Maybe I’m biased because I’m currently setting up my old sv for track.
Great watching step by step progress. 👍🏼
Great video!
Really love seeing the side by side time comparison when you upgrade
to better components. I have a completely factory stock ZX10R that I
(as a new racer) run Dunlop Q4 tires and have tried a couple different
performance brake pads. I first tried EBC EPFA447HH Road Race Front
Brake Pads and the performance was way better than stock, too bad
they wore out kinda fast. The next set which I have in the front calipers
right now are Galfer G1375 HH pads. Again, way better than stock and
seem to be laster longer than the EBC pads. Well worth it to put premium
tires and front brake pads on your bike if you intend to put it on the track,
even if it's just a track day.
Thanks for the video and keep yourselves safe! 😃👍❤🏍
Randy
Suspension setup is so critical to the average rider! I did a track day several years ago with Dave Moss doing suspension set up and tuning for riders for a small fee. Best money I have ever spent.
Absolutely loving this content guys, and that bike is amazing.
I love you kept it so stock it still had the mirrors on lol.
Great to see these progressions on mods.
Great video, really good watch! It would be interesting to see if investing in a day with a riding coach would worth while
These boys know how good that first little montage was coz they keep using the fucker. I'm not mad about it either. It really was THAT good.
Have this exact bike and love this series! Best video yet, super helpful and informative 🤙🏻
Perfect timing on a Sunday evening.
Loved this series lads, but seriously what is that music? Not sure if I’m watching motorcycles or Mario Kart 😂
Nice onboard. Thank you very much.
Great watch and showing the improvements as you removed oem parts
The flamingo suit is maaaad dope!!!😂😂😂😂
always with the quality, can't believe things like this is free on youtube
So do you have to adjust the electronics when you modify gearing? I heard something along those lines. Amazing series btw. Love you guys.
Love to see race fairings with half and half designs of your leathers on them🤔
Great series of Videos, and the Candy Shop music is an earworm..... :)
amazing video again. i have a question. would you say michelin cup 2 tires are performance tires? can`t wait for the next episode.
Woooo! The legends are back.
Great stuff as always 👏. That chain check at 3:10 seemed loose! You run chain that loose? Legit question, many opinions?
I agree, it seemed loose. Standard tension on the R1 is about 25-35mm but that seemed like a lot more
Chain tension is when bike is laden with rider(?) so that tension looks like it would be taken up when they are on the bike
Nice work fellas!
Quality episode! Thanks lads!
Honestly, Sue Perkins has such a good narration voice. Could listen to him reading Haynes Manuals on Audible 😂
You two should be on the stage "Sweeping it"🏍🏍🏍On the best ltr bike ever built, The "YAMAHA R1" great videos keep them coming!
Well well, we all know Al is an experienced racer, but your riding skills have come on a lot Chris, get an agent and get into BSB.. I have been closely watching this project as an ex R1 owner. I can't wait to try RS11 tyres on my Superduke because to be honest the bike is crazy but so much fun
My thoughts too! How does an amateur bike rider, graphic designer keep up with an ex BSB rider??? RESPECT Chris.
Exhaust and tune!! I cant wait for the next mods
There are absolutely *_loads_* of ways to do the suspension wrong. Regardless of how the rider *_feels_* about it.
Rule of thumb:
If you're bottoming out, stiffen it up a bit.
If you're not bottoming out, soften it up a bit.
Nice, this was an awesome series.
Yes the video i was waiting for great video love your guys vids
Those are SICK racing suits you both have on! I dig it.
Very interesting series, given your expertise in the BBB series, have you considered trying to find some second hand calipers M50s? Now considerably cheaper since the stylimas came out?
Cool great excuse to crack open a cold one and watch some bike action fnnn roasting up here in jockland
Love the Huel t shirt whilst having a good old plate of food lol
Brilliant series
Great video series. As both of you are obviously different in height, weight, arm length etc, do you adjust anything to deal with this difference, or do you just run a compromise set-up? How much do you think the lap times would change by just 'customizing' the bike set-up for a specific rider?
11:22 ...ahhh, the content we are all here for. 😂
Super serie. But the #1 on the priority list should be to remove the mirrors and licenceplate holder. 😂
Love this. 👍 The track day organisers did a good job then?
Loving this series!!! Great vid!!! One day you guys might have a lighter lunch….. 🤣
Best bike series in UA-cam absolutely 🎉
Nice one chaps, I love kTm😁.
Fyi TitanClassics (UK) sells Ti pistons for those calipers
Is not near an oil change yet. New bike and full bung from initial break in ?
Great series lads 👌👌
Bill and Ben do it again! A poet and didn't know it.
Are you guys gonna be taking the mirrors and plate/Indicators off. Would also like to see if a fancy front master cylinder makes any difference with lap time
there was an rc8c in the background! did you offer a bike swap for a session ?
Im also in the process of converting my 2011 daytona R into a track only bike. Lucky for me it came factory with some very fancy (well, for then there are probably better options now) ohlins shocks and brembo brakes. For now I basicly left it stock except for some race fairings to shave some weight and not to ruin my stock ones in case of a crash, and also a race shift rearset. As a next step I'm also looking at tires, except I'd rather not go the full slick route since I'm not an expert by far yet, and maybe a different rear sprocket as well. I'n not shure what tires to go for though, I prefer michelin as a brand myself but read good things over the dunlop q5s except I cant find those in europe. So definetly gonna look into the s22's
I'm all for the metzeler and bridgestones. Some friends swear by pirelli. In your case I would have a look at the metzeler td. I ran quickly into the limits on those but thats running faster laptimes. I'm sure you can enjoy them well into the upper groups. Also, you don't necessarily need warmers on them, altough I would still recommend doing that
Love the overlay
Brilliant as always ❤
Great stuff!! What phone mount are you using?
Be good to see a £50 track day suspension setup before you spend money on ohlins kit then do the times after to show what the upgrades bring
I know it won't be a massive time gain, but why keep the mirrors / plate fender on there?
Absolutely. Brilliant.👍
14:25 german sausage gas, also known as Zyklon :D
Ace series, Well done boys👌👍
Amazing series, love it 👌
Loving the graphics overlay...uh...huuuuurrrrr....
time for a full exhaust and unlock the ecu!! than its a monster
"They've just crashed, they're fine" lol
Another great video 🤙.What compound VO2 you used if I may ask?
Any chance of RST releasing the Fagan leathers?? Sooo dope. I'd be down for a set
Do any road racers remove the o-rings from their chains to free up rolling resistance?
Why don't just buy a non oring chain?
@@billyka11 Are there non o-ring chains built to the spec of racing an R1 around a road course? My bike has belt drive so I'm not really up on chains. I thought non o-ring chains were legacy tech like how you can still buy bias ply tires for a 1963 Mercury Comet but you're not going to mount them on 911 rims and go club racing.
There's video of Chris Moore at Moore Mafia picking the o-rings out of a new chain to go drag racing. Figured there was a reason he went through all of that instead of buying a non o-ring chain.
love the bike sounds lapping in the pits sound amazing
Flipping brilliant chaps
