I recall having to buy a window air conditioner rather than depend on the landlord. I closed off half of the house to keep us safe from the heat.

as a kid in Arizona i did maintance on swamp coolers, they are easy to repair. only need electricity, a cage fan, and a water pump with jute pads any handy man can fix and bill the landlord.

I hope she sues the owner. That is ridiculous and then, she should move somewhere with Central AC it's too hot in Las Vegas without central air. Swamp coolers don't help in the summer ...it gets too hot here.

Drink lots of water and put water on you and wet rag possibly take a shower to sit in front of the fans! Repeat process! ☀🌝🌞 I feel it is good to move your body around a little bit because it almost feels like its not just hot its solar radioactive rays you move around a little it can help disperce it! And you could find a better location to rest during this! I had this hot hotel room by the luxor! Led me to think many things!

New 3.5 ton AC = $2,500 (Amazon). Installation cost $10,500 for a few hours work = $$$ for the AC company.

I've never had ac and neither did our elders. You're supposed to acclimatize your body gradually as the weather changes and you won't feel it as much. Most of the world doesn't have ac. Americans are too soft.
