if all you listen to is pop music then yes this is'nt going to sound like paramore, because you surround yourself in pop music you'll be able to tell the difference, but someone like me that listens to metalcore, progressive metal, classical, smooth jazz, underground hip-hop, RnB, Soul from the 60's and 70's, dubstep/filthstep, vocal trance, punk/ska, reggae/dub, and is so diverse in their music is going to say yes this sounds exactly like paramore.

Every time a pop/punk band comes up with a front woman people say they're Paramore wannabes. I love Paramore and yes this band have similar music but they're pretty individual. I'm pretty sure she doesn't think she's Hayley Williams.

If anything, Prevail is helping DP, because no matter who stole it, it is DP who is getting all the attention from this. There's no need to hate on the band that is helping DP get views. Did you notice the views on this vid have shot up since the whole ordeal?
Don't hate on either band no matter what you believe. Stealing sucks, but hating without actually knowing shit for yourself is worse.

@Ashleeroks Hi Ashlee, I'm Darling Parade's Producer. I've been working in the music industry for 10 years, and I've worked with bands like Augustana, Future Leaders of the World, Throwing Gravity etc... The band came to me with the rough idea for Bells are Ringing and we re-wrote it together during pre-production before we went into the studio. We changed a lot of lyrics and melody and basically made it a new song. Until yesterday, I had never heard of PreVail. I've never been to Hawaii.

@s2thalayer I've got the laws up in another window. They state that copyright exists as soon as a work comes into existence (in this case, as soon as the song was written). It's just a good idea to register it because it makes it stronger, and gives you a better case if someone does steal it.
I like! I'm a sucker for female fronted bands. I'm so glad my band's lead singer's girl friend has agreed to sing in our band too. definately going to be an amazing band. Hopefully we'll have a similar band too Eyes Set To Kil, just maybe no screaming. Even though I definately love Eyes Set To Kill!
It's not just "why?" it's "how?" there was literally no released recording of this illedged song at the time we recorded the real version. We had thousands of fans and national attention at that time, and it's still near impossible to find the other artist online today. None of us have ever been to Hawaii. I was there at the practices when Prevail wrote the song, i've listened to them practice it, i listened to them write it, Prevail wrote it. Darling Parade stole it. End of story.

ANYWHO, I literally just found this band and I LOVE THEM ALREADY! :)
I have seen more comments complaining about it, then i have seen actual comments about comparisons with Paramore.
It just gets annoying when we (the others who comment about it) see them comparing 99% of bands with girl singers to paramore when they don't even sound like her, some may sound like her a bit but yeah, you see that every now and again.

@awaide88 Prevail has a myspace (lol, that site still exists? surprise!) and people visit hawaii all the time, so I'm sure CDs and videos have gotten around places. It probably IS unlikely, but the chances of Prevail stumbling upon DP when their first CD first came out are also not that big either. I'm pretty sure these videos werent all over youtube back in 2008 either.
@TragedyCrossfire you see, i may love some bands, i never really feel concerned about what they do aside their music life. and i'm not the kind of person who says "oh i hate this band because i love this one" or "this band sucks because this one is cooler" when they play in practically in the same genre. well, i love paramore, and this one too, as well as for hey monday, versaemerge and so all. that's why when people says "oh these are a paramore wannabe " i feel pity for them

@blacknovember23 Prevail did contact them first, they sent them a message. They didnt want this to happen, but then some fans found out from both sides and started bashing each other.
i can hear how people could think they sound like paramore. honestly she does somtimes sound like hailey, especially like the song monster.
that's what i was thinking, but in some of their songs the do remind you of paramore but not quite
