Her passion moved me to tears, honestly. It's so evident she loves jazz and singing jazz. I wish we could be more like her - passionate about what we do, instead of cribbing about our daily grind.
THIS is exactly what I needed, I've always wanted to sing jazz because I ADORE it, and this is explained like a math process - easy to understand. This lady right here has some awesome tips, I finally get it. Thank you
Dont know if anyone cares but if you're stoned like me atm you can stream all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. Have been watching with my brother for the last few days xD
@Kohen Trevor yea, I've been watching on InstaFlixxer for since december myself :)
I auditioned and made it into a vocal jazz ensemble without knowing what I was getting myself into. This video just hit the spot, thank you
Shes talking from the heart👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'd love to add that singing Jazz is also about Phrasing! This, along with rhythm is what makes you an instrument, along with the others in the band, and it is what can help make the feel of the lyrics unique to the audience. Great video!
this is the best singing pep talk i have seen in all my years. i am not a jazz singer but I think I finally understand what singing is about. I have never heard anyone describe singing as a demonstration of wit and that was so refreshing to hear. i have spent so much time trying to "fix" my singing instead of realizing what my priorities were. thank you
She spoke to me! I love this, she's amazing.
Does the lady have a singing channel? I like her.
After wanting for several years to learn to singer I came across Bens Singer Blog and it seems to be the top home study system (google it if you are interested)
What a beautiful voice.
this is what i need i wish there is a longer video about it
wish to see more of your tutoring in jazz. Love your style.
I need this lady to coach me!!
You have a beautiful voice, this helped so much thanks xx
Love...love...love your voice Anna-Lisa!
What an amazing voice
*Mozart once wrote to a friend: “People err who think my art comes easily to me. I assure you, dear friend, nobody has devoted so much time and thought to composition as I. There is not a famous master whose music I have not industriously studied through many times.”*
Just replace classical music* with jazz and you'll be a beast just like the very regretted Mozart did with his respective music style.
*Applicable with any and every other skill, musical or not.
Why regretted, m'darling?
@@koso_luchi Because Mozart is not among the living! 😏
@@KishorTwist Oh. Didn't know the word could be used in that sense.
Wow.beautiful voice and lesson.
Ok, this is a fantastic video. Clearly explained WITH example!!!

I love this. Can I learn if I've never sung or had a lesson? Can I learn on my own?

The first video I happened to see about Jazz singing this one! The best advice. Thumps up to the lady🤣
For me, jazz was interesting to listen to when there was a singer with the band.
Brilliant thank you so much
Thank you ♥ I sing all kinds of areas of music, but jazz is what really and thoroughly moves me. #justanothershowersinger
Awesome
She has a great voice! Nice tips too
What I notice most is her hitting the first vowel of each syllable almost immediately with minimal time spent on the consonant preceding it.
I love this so much. Amazinggg coach!
Beautifully explained, thank you
Love your voice

Beautiful video. Question: how does one "blend notes" in Jazz singing?

Perfectly said!!!!
Very useful. You are a great person!
Jazz is what I love ☺
I dance Lindy Hop a bit and the "plain" version of Cheek to Cheek really sounded wrong to me, even though it was sung beautifully. During the second one, though, I felt just like at a swing night at a local jazz club, something I've been missing during the lockdown...
Exactly what I’m looking for thank you!
Thank you this is brilliant :)
Very helpful!
Gifted! I love you
Great!
Well Expressed🎙🎶🎵♩👏
You had me groovin' in my bed :)
