- Tour Scotland Autumn video of pipers from Glenalmond College raising funds by Scone Palace for Rachel House Children's Hospice in Kinross, Perthshire. In this video they are playing Marie's Wedding. Nice to meet all of you and thank you so much for allowing me to shoot this video in support of that most worthwhile charity. Mairi's Wedding, also known as Marie's Wedding, the Lewis Bridal Song, or Mairi Bhan, is a Scottish folk song originally written in Gaelic by John Roderick Bannerman for Mary C. MacNiven on the occasion of her winning the gold medal at the National Mod in 1934.
This was played at my graduation. Very nostalgic song.

thank you for your information, Daniel
Does anyone know what tartan the kid on the far left is wearing?
not sure
whats the average age for pipers to start learning ?
I started learning at 12 years old
My son started when he was four believe it or not.i used to pipe him to sleep when he was a baby.
You can really start them at any age, you learn faster when you’re younger tho. I started in college
When there fingers can reach all the holes on a kids chanter

Great job
but one problem the kids are staring at your fingers BAD
+Kahill Absolutely nothing wrong with that? All bands encourage players to stare at the pipe majors fingers to ensure they are on time etc..
+Jamie Sutherland especially when they don't have a drummer
+Pef273 all they need to do is look at his foot to keep in time
Not t the level they are at. They may still have trouble with timings and a lot of pipers still new to it can't actually keep time by beatings, so they need to watch the PMs fingers. And it isn't a bad thing to watch someone's fingers, your logic makes absolutely no sense at all.
@@jamies4129 thats why marching pipe bands form in a circle so everyone can see another persons fingers
Aye tar brush
