I haven't beaten either, to be honest, but I find Sekiro a lot more fun than Elden Ring due to the lack of options. In Elden Ring, with how open-ended it is, I never understand if I'm "supposed" to be fighting a boss yet. Is my difficulty with it a skill issue, or is it supposed to be hard to encourage me to explore more and come back later? How much should I be exploring? What if I come back and I'm too powerful and steamroll the boss? That can be fun sometimes, but it's rarely as much fun as a proper, curated challenge. Sekiro, on the other hand, is a game where I know that at all times I have every tool I need to beat a boss as intended, so it just comes down to getting good.

Sekiro was the first from software game I'd ever played and my first playthrough was brutal, 2nd playthrough was difficult, 3rd playthrough was easy and my 4th it was like I was using cheat codes lol
