Two years is a long time to go without your carry weapon, so I had to buy another one. Oh the humanity, lol!
Baldwin is just as guilty as the armorer, since he failed to clear the gun when it was handed to him, and as a producer of the movie, he didn't make sure that live ammo was kept away from the set. Plus there's the whole pointing it at someone, cocking the hammer, then pulling the trigger like an uneducated moron, then acting completely surprised when the gun went bang and someone died. Also, "prop" refers to it being property of the studio, so it doesn't always mean it's a non-firing replica.
It gets worse. This wasn't the first negligent discharge during the filming. Half the crew had walked off because of the previous ones. As the producer, it was his responsibility to protect the studio's interests by shutting down the filming, or at least the parts involving guns, until they could find and address the reasons those negligent discharges were happening. As someone with experience in action movies, he should have known that, as nothing had been done to address the reasons for the negligent discharges, there was a possibility that the gun he was holding had live ammunition in it.
Considering, the stolen firearm is "unique", I suspect we've not heard the last of this story. 'Expecting this guy's "One of a Kind" firearm to pop up overseas.
