1:37 NOOOOOICE.
1:17 yes I can
I had learnt in high school
I love your content!! Could you make a video about the science behind cognitive improvement through physical exercise? 😊😊😊
@3:15 Right I think I know how that works (54x10)+54 = 540 +54 , so the 5 and 4 moved apart and inserted with 5+4. Awesome!
does it have anything on percentages too or its focused on regular calculations
I mastered the "day of the week" trick years ago. It's been a great conversation starter ever since.
"Wanna see a trick?"
Yea, sure
@@SPIRITEN25559 I can only imagine on what basis you are skeptical, given that you know nothing about me.
Make video about Google NoteBook LM. I believe it will be the new way of interacting with books (conversational learning )
I bought this book as per your review in the last video! Hopefully i will be able to help my kids with math when the time comes 😅
If their test has the specific pattern of multiply by 11, or square number ending in 5, then may help. Otherwise won’t help.
@@random19911004 Says who? The book contains many tricks. However, I would recommend reading a book on Vedic Mathematics after this to gain a more deeper understanding and more tricks to calculate in your head.
@@random19911004yeah but he just showed these two tricks in the video. I assume that the book contains more general cases and different examples
thank you for being such a reliable source of fun and learning!
Is it some what same as vedic mathamatics
Love this!!!
I just bought this book after I saw it on your last video lol
anything on linear algebra which would help with me working out quantum computing...
Janich Linear algebra
Think I will save my money and just use the calculator on my phone like a normal person.
That was pretty funny. 😊
Lmao
It's insane😮🎉❤
As a computer science major, I want to learn math but I don't want to regret wasting my time. Any advice?
These are tricks that work on specific use cases ( multiply by 11 or square ending in 5 ). So nice trick, but doesn’t generalise. Learning a ton of tricks to deal with individual cases is not much better than just calculating it the “standard way”
I assume they can be proved by expanding a number in its digit expansion e.g. xyz =100x+10y+z and then doing algebra , expanding brackets, collecting terms etc
Yeah, the way it was just handwaved and actual usecases were not explained gave me very bad impression.
isn't this a re-upload?
It is Vedic Mathematics with expanded techniques by Arthur Benjamin.
There is nothing called Vedic marsh. They have just collected some modern maths tricks and called it Vedic maths to sound it more exotic.
... what if you have dyscalculia?
hello
i'm learning to code but i've been having trouble visualizing code, as in how to structure it to achieve the desired outcome, all i see are numbers then my head gets dizzy then i quit lol please help, thank you!
From experience, don't get stop even if it is difficult. You should draw out the set of steps of your programs, you do it using pseudo code and diagrams. And remember it's what effort that gets you from point A to B. Use every resource out there, even chat got but tell you explain the code. Why does it work. Perseverance and effort is what makes you learn anything. Stay at it don't give up
To UA-camR, please check out what is Vedic Matnematics, this andmany more such tricks are directly copied from there. You Can also make a video on it. video idea.!!!! make a video comparing this book and few vedic techniques.
Mental arithmetic...I still shudder to think of Friday mornings in Grade 5. I'd walk to school dry retching with terror, because the beastly nun would haul kids at random to stand in front of the class while she fired off questions at them.
Stuff like " A cwt of potatoes cost £5/6/8, so how many lbs do I need to sell to make an 87% profit?"
You wouldn't get more than a minute. Failure to answer meant you were thrashed. So wonder I loathe maths.
Any one has pdf of the book? It’s not available in my country :(
Just a suggestion - in case you are not aware. You may try Trachtenberg system of speed maths - one of the most oldest & famous book for speed maths calculations. Maybe, easily available on the net in pdf too! Even Vedic maths books are also stuffed with speed & mental math techniques.
Try Vedic mathematics.
😮 who knew
It's Indian Vedic Mathematics
When did “Math” become “Maths”. No one says, Biologies, Chemistries or Journalisms.
mathematic*s*
math*s*
There's only the one math.
Very good indeed
It is copy of Vedic Mathematics which originated from India.
There are lots and lots of math shortcut books, for exercising your brain. Sorry, I won't bother with this one.
My favorite, and I use these techniques frequently after generating & printing random arithmetic drills, is
Miracle Math by Harry Lorayne
The techniques coordinates Pen & Paper & Brain. It's relaxing and enjoyable, when you become skilled at it.
Thanks for the recommendation. I'll get a copy
How to post comment with yellow background?

This guy is all marketing and no action. He didn't even both to show the book properly
not in print.
I like your stuff, however the clickbait title is not needed.
@@CoruscationsOfIneptitude But it is the people create the title for the algo, not the other way around -- also, the algo itself is created by people.
X2
This is UA-cam
@@JT-qr7ky 100% agree with you there.
Big agree. While it has worked for him, I wish we could get titles that are more informative and less hyperbolic.
Great ... a slightly faster way to calculate numbers times 11 ... which only works for 11. Do you know what always works ? A calculator. I love math but numbers are not math, just as the alphabet is not poetry.
Vedic Maths
Why the hell do we need to do these calculations in our heads??? We have computers. What we need is higher level thinking not lower level calculations.
If you value your time or occasionally leave home without a computer, you might want to.
sounds like the trachtenberg method.
just google vedic maths
So the issue is not to stop using your calculator.
It's keeping your mind sharp(er) as you grow older.
Or in other words: Use it or loose it.
Doing math on a daily basis (with your mind, not calculator) is one way of doing it.
Do you lose it?
Or do you loose it?
James Randi! I’m All In! 😊
300 Pages! No Way! (I did the calculations)
ЗДОРОВО!
this may be the first book ive seen that I couldn't find a free pdf or epub online about. shame. welp, this is a book I'm certainly never reading!
For whatever reason, the book also exists under the name "Secrets of Mental Math", ISBN 9780307347466
Forewords and chapter lists seem to be identical, only a different publisher.
Don't be lazy. Get a job, then you can buy a book.
Clickbait is bad but this has reached the point of just raw dishonesty. Mental arithmetic is not what maths is, and you should simply knock this off.
I like you very much ❤
aryans kaa mathematics ka gyan ye foreigner vpas hame pel rhae
Vadic maths copy paste by writter
So book teaches how to calculate on paper.
Useless garbage
I am considering to unfollow as Python content has disappeared.
Most of the things are stolen from Indian Vedic Maths without giving credit to it , just like west has done it all through the history.
Cry about it
Non of them are Vedic math .
