You should note that soft throwing bombs while you're grounded will let them hit the ground without exploding. You can space yourself to throw bombs and have them sit at or roll off ledge and hit recovering opponents. This is pretty useful for pressuring/trapping ledge from a distance.
I really missed these kinds of videos. The music, clips and, most importantly, the information all blend in so well and is different for every character so no video feels like a copy. You can really tell that he puts in a lot of time into these! Only the framedata is missing ig

It’s a big problem if you try to back-air out of shield. First hit connects, but second consistently whiffs.

Young link is the most rewarding character in this game sadly you didn’t fully go into detail with all the different things he can do with bomb z drop into air attack regrab bomb etc but overall this is a great video to show ppl young link isn’t all just spamming projectiles even tho 90% of the ones online will do just that

I still wish that yl’s final smash would have been unique from toon link, for example turning into the fierce deity, or using his other transforming masks in a huge multi-attack. It would have just been much cooler.
To be honest they should have made young link different from the original link and toon link because they could have used the majors mask mechanic where young link could turn into a the deku,goran,Zora or the Fearty dete
I used to main Inkling but I'm moving to YL, it's more fun to use since there is not just one way to optimally play him. Also, red YL is used as Tethu in Spirit Mode, the protagonist of Ever Oasis, a great game!
For the love of god, please, *please* do an Art of ZSS. I'm attempting to main her but I can't even get past 140,000 GSP, and I feel like something is wrong with the way I'm playing her compared to Marss for example.
Sometimes you want to main a character but they just aren't right for you. If you don't feel comfortable playing her, it's best that you try out other characters. But, if you're really wanting to try her out, the way I've been teaching myself to understand the way that the character moves better is to start out with LV 3 random CPUs. If you feel like you've got that level down, move it up one. I've been using this method for Young Link and it's helped me learn immensely.
amazing video!!! Been a young link main since melee and its been tons of fun to play him in Ultimate! I need to find a way to be more consistent with b-reversing arrows and boomerangs. Even switched my controller scheme to help me but fighting online on wifi I get lazy and just spam projectiles cuz it works most of the time lmfaooo.
My favorite link in ultimate I'm so glad you made this video. When the punish game on young link is on point and you execute all the b reversals the way you want it to, it just feels so satisfying

I've been in a character main crisis since this game came out, and this video is making me realize just how much Young Link clicks with me whenever I play him. I know "This video made me a _______ main" is a meme at this point, but I think I really mean it. Side note, how do you Z-drop without using Z-air with characters that have Z-airs? I feel like if I knew that, my play would level up a lot.
Hey the bomb is only a 50/50 UP CLOSE. If you throw the bomb from a distance the explosion will always put the opponent in a position so you can kill confirm or combo them. This i hear from alot of Yink mains, they are throwing the bomb too close.
BestNess has a pretty solid guide on his channel if you're looking for something to help you right away. I'd love to see Izaw break it down in his style too, though. Nobody does better guides than Izaw.
