Always best to factor stack. Also go for quality fabrics, linen, cotton, cashmere, wool, canvas, leather, hemp, flax. I’m also adding rayon and viscose because they are made from wood and plants. Often the quality fabrics are also found in classic styling that has legs and will never fail to elevate your look. This may not appeal to the buyers interested in fads, but these items will have an audience and the ASP will be higher.

I have never found Skims or Freebird. I think I would definitely buy Freebird for myself! I agree with HD. I sold a couple of things, but it never really got going for me, so I always skip it. I broke up with Gymshark last year, and I would probably add Alo Yoga to the list. Also PE Nation. I have some leggings that are rotting in my closet. It's weird, but I feel like most active wear does not sell for me. I have no idea why. I can't even sell Lulu unless I practically give it away. I hate to say it, but another brand I am cautious with now is Levi's. I used to get the wedgie, 501, and ribcage, and they would sell well all the time, but I feel like the price has dropped, and you have to be really selective with the styles now. I did have some luck recently with the Dad style and the High Loose. It just goes to show how necessary it is to do your research! It's like being a doctor. Always in school, and always learning! 😁
Totally agree with you when it comes to Skims. They totally devalued their brand by producing too much basic inventory. The only thing that might be worth it are very substantial pieces like maxi dresses

Polo Ralph Lauren - I used to do SO WELL with this, especially vintage menswear, but not anymore. I also saw a BIG drop in Eddie Bauer and Patagonia substantial pieces this year, I had a down coat in each that sat for months.
Sourcing in Canada is exceedingly difficult especially with our record high inflation. Value Village is outpricing its common consumers, even with their coupons-- shame. Sometimes I wonder if shipping rates are largely hurting the platform.. I had a customer leave a poor review and I maintain that it is largely because she paid more in shipping on a low value H&M piece. I think it would be advantageous for the platform to reduce seller fees so we can offer a better shipping discount and keep people shopping on the site while competing with these Fast Fashion sites! Also would love to see a Factor Stacking video cause I think that has more value than Brand.

I sit on Maje too, but I think i'm going to try and just consign it and go that route. If it's low cogs I feel like it's worth picking up for consignment but it's not a fast flip item anymore

I'm seeing major red flags with Agolde. A few months ago I could get $150 for NWT. Now they are not selling and I only get $50 lowball offers. I also found it twice in the thrift store so they are on the decline! Totally agree with you on Skims too. As well as her sisters brand Good American. Good American is so not wanted now and DOA.
I had a look at the Freebirds in your closet. My guess is they are quite worn out and are are a plain style- is why they are sitting. Just my thoughts! I’ve had great success with this brand, especially in good condition, in the more flashy styles, and not priced to high 😊
In general I think ASP’s are decreasing. Thrift stores prices are going up but what I can sell an item for is going down. There’s so much excess/liquidation inventory out there. I can’t even give away Good American, and many Revolve brands. The other issue is the amount of fakes in the market. I’ve become very skeptical about buying in those pallet live shows. I'm fortunate that I have two thrifts that deep discount. One thrift I go to sells clothing& accessories 3 for $1, and the other discounts 75% on Saturday.

It's cheaper, but buyers don't care about quality anymore. I've bought a few AMZ brands and honestly the quality is just as good as the name brands. So there's a lack of brand loyalty. I remember growing up, Talbot, Lane Bryant, Ann Taylor, JCP, etc all had land-based stores. That's where we got the quality brand names. Now, it makes no diff if you go to those sites because the Sheins have the same things and at half the price.

Those pallet Skims are fake. Forgot the name of the site but they sell all popular replicas. I don’t know how they get away with it. Sellers on Whatnot know they are fake & purposely sell them. It’s crazy. I refuse to have anything to do with that selling platform. I personally feel Whatnot are scammy as well, not just some of their sellers. I wouldn’t compare your business to those sellers nor the items sale price on whatnot. And a lot of people like buying replicas. They don’t care. And I don’t want those ppl as my customers. Yep, Frye is only worth it if it's low cogs and great condition. Market saturation is too high. Knix- I stick to the bigger sizes and only in great shape. I feel the same way about Spanx and Skims, I'm picky and bigger sizes move better for me but I don't find it very often. I love Maje/Sandro, but consigning has been better for me. Gymshark is a full on NO, completely not exciting. Eddie Bauer high performance down fill/gortex gear I'll grab, again I'm super selective too. Buffalo check and nordic aran knit sweaters are so good. Anthro has been hit or miss, gah! I'm sitting on it more than selling. Pilcro has been selling in Winners/TJ Max too.... I have stopped picking up Smash & Tess, Club Monaco, and Lulu's. It's just sitting forever.

hey tabs are you still looking for savers/value village coupons and if so are you able to use coupons from US users? I think i recall you were asking for people's unused coupons. I get them once to twice a month, usually they say savers on them but I think they are interchangable with value village? I haven't been to savers in months, they were getting me upset the last few times I went there. They were pretty much accusing me of switching the price tags on the shoes and would just take a bunch of the pairs I picked.

The tee shirt bros and I were just talking about this last week at VV. I found a pair of vintage juicy couture velour pants and no one wanted them. I am also SUPER picky with northern reflections. I only picked up one thing this winter and priced it reasonably so it sold. They said most carhartt jeans are not worth picking up and only the thrashed jackets do well.

I think the economy is hitting people harder. Less disposable income, peoole are buying more low cost basics and designer only if it’s a real bargain.
