    Thanks for another fantastic video! We love the way you present the places and the natural spectacle in their full glory! Some amazing sightings! Thanks for sharing them with the world! We started watching the video, hoping to see one river crossing, and then there was a second, and then a third, and then a fourth! Simply superb! And, as always, every creature, big and small, including the birds got their due coverage! Thanks for such amazing videos! We look forward to your future travels and your videos! Wishing you well and wishing you both the best!

      Thank you so much for your wonderful comment, it is great to hear that you enjoyed watching our videos. We were hoping so much to see at least one good crossing and then there was none on the first day. But then there were two on the second day, then none on the third day and finally the last two amazing crossings both on the final day. Nature is unpredicatable and we were waiting for many hours, observing the wildebeest, seeing them coming to the river, then running away, regrouping and coming forward and backward until finally the first animal went into the water and made its way over. Yes, these were tense moments. And then we still wanted to see the surrounding areas, the plains to Kenya, the rocky hills in the south, the Sand river and so on. So it was a fully packed program and I think in the end we were lucky with what we saw. The only thing we missed was the Cheetah, but that one will come in the next video. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

    Your video is so beautiful. I like it. I am planning to go there to see the migration next year if possible. I have to save more money for the trip. Safari is expensive, especially, the lodge, the park fee and the game drive.

    Paradise!
    Ihave one question. You have visited a lot of places. What is your TOP 5?

    • @SandraMarkusTrachsel
      @SandraMarkusTrachsel  Рік тому

      Thank you very much for your kind comment, appreciate it very much! To name the top 5 places is very tough, because we have only seen them once and we might have been very lucky or not so lucky. Also every park has its own reason why it exists and what it offers. Do you prefer parks with a lot of activity like canoeing (e.g. Mana Pools) or and walking (e.g. Kavinga, South Luangwa), do you like protected parks/concessions with reintroduced species (e.g. Lewa, Ol Pejeta) or even sanctuaries (Ziwa Rhino or Solio Ranch), are you into birding or do you like the great apes (e.g. Bwindi, Kibale or Budongo), do you want to see animal migrations (e.g. Serengeti, Masai Mara). Are you keen on big herds of elephants (Hwange, Amboseli). Do you like huge amount of antelops in the flood plains (e.g. Busanga plains) or birding by boat (Lake Kariba). It's endless, each park offers something for people who are interested in certain types of wildlife, each country has its own highlights. So it's impossible to pick any top 5 because that would not make it justice to the rest. And that is actually the main reason we make all these videos, so everybody can see what each park has to offer and decide according to their own preference what they want to visit and for what reason. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

    One of the best presented videos I have seen from a Safari. Just returned from a central serengeti, ngorongoro, tarangire safari in August, and it just blows your mind. We will be returning to do the migration, and your video is exactly what we will be looking for. Just out of interest, what did you film this on?

      Thank you very much for your wonderful comment, appreciate it very much! So glad to hear that you enjoy watching our videos and that you had such a great time on your wildlife safari to Tanzania as well. We (almost) had the same itinerary on our very first safari like you did. Regarding our equipment, please have a look at our "what is in our camera bag" video, where we present all our gear in great detail: ua-cam.com/video/OFeReg5DJgk/v-deo.html Please note that since the making of that camera bag video we have added two GoPro Hero 7 black for the action shots (you see them mounted on the vehicle in front of us) and we have now completely switched from the former Olmypus E-M1 mk.II to the new OM-System OM-1 cameras. So its time to make a new video about that. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

    Beautiful video. I been to Serengeti last Sep and saw the migration. But I was not luck enough to see the river crossing. Your videos are superb. You deserve more views and subs. I would love to know you camera gears and any gimbles used

You can see the GoPro mounted on the car sometimes. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus

    Klasse Video! Ich werde Mitte Juli dort auf Safari sein. Was hattet ihr an techn Ausrüstung dabei? Mit was gefilmt und fotografiert? Bin hin und her gerissen: einerseits will ich schöne Videos & Fotos, andererseits aber auch kein mords geraffel mitschleppen 😄 und was ist generell zu beachten bei einer solchen Safari? danke für Paar gute Tipps

    • @SandraMarkusTrachsel
      @SandraMarkusTrachsel  Рік тому +1

      Vielen Dank für Deinen tollen Kommentar, das freut uns sehr, dass Dir unsere Videos gefallen. Unsere ganze Ausrüstung und Safari Tipps stellen wir in diesem Video vor: ua-cam.com/video/OFeReg5DJgk/v-deo.html . Für diese Reise haben wir zum ersten Mal die neuen Kameras von Olympus/OM-Systems OM-1 eingesetzt und wir benutzen zusätzlich zwei GoPro Hero 7 Black für die Fahraufnahmen. Und ja, es ist eine Materialschlacht, die wir da mitschleppen. Was halt ein grosser Vorteil ist, dass wir beide Filmen und jeder eine Kamera mit einer anderen Linse/Brennweite hat. So können wir die gleiche Szene aus zwei verschiedenen Blickwinkeln filmen. Auch erhöhen wir so die Chance, dass es wenigstens einer drauf bekommen. Ich wünsche Dir ganz viel Erfolg bei Deiner Safari und viele wunderschöne Aufnahmen. Ganz viele Grüsse, Markus

      @@SandraMarkusTrachsel ja, mega dass ihr beide filmt und so immer variieren könnt mit dem Winkel und der Aufnahme 👌🏼 ich schau mir mal eure Ausrüstung näher an. Denk aber, dass mir das vermutlich Zuviel Zeugs sein wird. Mal sehen, inwieweit man da einen guten Kompromiss machen kann.

      Thank you very much for your kind comment, appreciate it very much. We have been thete in the second half of July but as you correctly mentioned the migration takes place over a long period of time. So as always in Nature there is no guarantee. We decided to stay for 5 days to maximize the chance of seeing a crossing.. And two of the five days there were none at all and two on the last day. So nobody can predict anything. Wishing you all the best and best regards, Markus
