      You should wish to be born as a wildebeest, then you will also be able to participate in it.

    Who is leading this arduous journey? Wildebeest, zebra or others?

    • @gwavedesign
      @gwavedesign  7 місяців тому +2

      In the Great Migration, both wildebeest and zebra play important roles in leading the journey across the Serengeti. While wildebeest often take the lead in finding water and new grazing areas, zebras are known for their keen memory of migration routes
      and can also guide the herd.

    What is the reason for migration?

    • @gwavedesign
      @gwavedesign  2 місяці тому

      The Great Migration across the Serengeti is primarily driven by the search for food and water. The vast herds of wildebeest, along with zebras and gazelles, migrate in a circular pattern across the Serengeti and Maasai Mara ecosystems in pursuit of fresh grazing grounds. This journey is essential for their survival as they follow the seasonal rains that bring new grass growth. The migration also helps maintain the balance of the ecosystem by dispersing grazing pressure across the region.

    The UA-cam does not provide full facts here! The great migration is not a Serengeti in Tanzania only issue.This migration ends in Maasai Mara in Kenya and then back to Serengeti.So it should be called Serengeti-Maasai Mara great migration. This is the region in Tanzania and Kenya occupied the Maasai people.

      Thank you for your comment and insight! You're right; the Great Migration is a remarkable journey that extends beyond the Serengeti into the Maasai Mara in Kenya. It's a fascinating cross-border phenomenon showcasing the incredible diversity and interconnectedness of these ecosystems. Your perspective adds valuable depth to our understanding. Thank you for sharing!

      @@barbaralulling9067 😄Thanks for your comment! It's true wildebeests might not be the strongest swimmers, but they have incredible instincts when it comes to migration. It's fascinating to see how they navigate challenges like river crossings. Nature's always full of surprises!

      The migration takes longer time in Tanzania Serengeti side than the Kenya Masai Mara side, also the Serengeti and Maasai mara seems like one park separated by countries Serengeti is more larger than the Kenya masai mara, this have made the migration to be renowned as THE SERENGETI MIGRATION

      @@gwavedesign danke für diese ausführliche reaktion. es ist ein bedauerliches zeichen unserer zeit ( = ablenkung und zerstreuung), daß quasi jegliches filmmaterial mit musik untermalt wird, obwohl die stille oder gute erklärungen alleine manchen filmbeitrag aufwerten. ihnen wünsche ich gutes gelingen und vergnügliche momente.
