I really love dogs, I've wanted one since I was 4, I think.
I have always been begging my mom to buy me one (I am 13, yes I know I'm a kid xD)
But all she tells me is, "We live in an appartment and dogs need a lot of space for them."
Then, she tells me "Dogs need love and patience. Will you take the dog out?"
Yes, I will. Because all those bloody years I have been wishing to get a dog. It's just, their eyes, their little souls are so friendly, beautiful and happy. I am just sure that I need one.
Oh and my mom always tells me that we don't have enough money to buy one.

Only had one accident with them that can't really be called an "accident" as when I was like 7, I stepped on a dog's tail by mistake and it almost bit me. So, now whenever I see a dog, I am pretty careful with them. :)

I'm sorry but this is not a sign you are ready. That's a sign you love dogs. The sign is you are very responsible, dependable, you can keep alive atleast a plant, you pretty much know where you have a plan for the next 10 years, you know you can spend an important amount of time training the dog, playing with the dog, take the dog for a walk and you can afford a dog. There are so many things you have to be before. I wanted to have one but after looking up what it takes I realised it's not the time yet since a dog is a lovely but big responsability... Love them but remember they are not a toy you can give away after 2 months! Don't forget what they say! A dog may be a part of your life but for the dog you are his whole life!

Amarina E. I don't think that this was intended to be an official decision-making guide. It was probably made just for sentimental and entertainment value. If you were really considering getting a dog, an entertainment channel (like Buzzfeed) probably wouldn't be the right source.

This is me on so many levels. I can't tell you how many dog's I've fallen in love with in my life. No matter how old the dog is, it's still a puppy in my eyes. =D
But Plot twist, I got myself a cat. An yes, I spoil him rotten. He's such a little jerk now, but I love him so much. I sadly don't have a yard so I can't own a dog, much less a Husky like I have my heart set on. So I got myself a smaller animal. A house cat, purrr-fect. x3 What can I say, I'm an animal lover.

Here is an upside down pineapple cake recipe incase you needed one
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices in juice, drained, juice reserved
1 jar (6 oz) maraschino cherries without stems, drained
1 box Betty Crocker™ SuperMoist™ yellow cake mix
Vegetable oil and eggs called for on cake mix box
Directions
1. Heat oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pan). In 13x9-inch pan, melt butter in oven. Sprinkle brown sugar evenly over butter. Arrange pineapple slices on brown sugar. Place cherry in center of each pineapple slice, and arrange remaining cherries around slices; press gently into brown sugar.
2. Add enough water to reserved pineapple juice to measure 1 cup. Make cake batter as directed on box, substituting pineapple juice mixture for the water. Pour batter over pineapple and cherries.
3. Bake 42 to 48 minutes (44 to 53 minutes for dark or nonstick pan) or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Immediately run knife around side of pan to loosen cake. Place heatproof serving plate upside down onto pan; turn plate and pan over. Leave pan over cake 5 minutes so brown sugar topping can drizzle over cake; remove pan. Cool 30 minutes. Serve warm or cool. Store covered in refrigerator.

I work at an animal shelter and it always breaks and warms my heart when dogs get adopted. I miss them but I’m happy to see them get a home. I usually see them when their owners come in to get supplies (We sell them to discourage people from supporting pet stores). I have 2 dogs of my own, both from that shelter. They’re my best friends.

when my mother was young, she picked stray dogs from the street, so they were not really picky with their food. she fed them eggs, milk, bread, rice and leftovers and they still live up to at least 17 years.
This was seriously me. And then me and my mom moved in with her husband and one day she looks at me and goes "Search online for shelters around her and see if you can find you a rottie pup." I bout broke something trying to get to a computer. I had wanted a rottie for years, and always begged for one. Finally found my little baby and we went and picked him up. I've had him for 2 years.

Gabriela Roberts This is true, because your immune system adapts to the dog, especially if you are younger. However, I cannot do this because I have a father who has a very "stubborn" immune system. Plus, his symptoms to animals are far more severe than mine. At one point when we did get a dog, my dad was getting inflamed skin, swollen eyes, and rashes to the point where he could not breathe properly. Due to that, we had to return the dog :(
On top of this, there is the fact that he is older, so it would be a lot harder for his immune system to adapt. From his symptoms, homeboy will die of allergies before he will get used to it.
So if imma get a dog, i gotta wait until I get out of then house. But even still, most colleges that i am familiar with restrict pets.

I hated the part of "but you can't afford them" ugh, is an animal, not an object that you should buy. You should adopt one!
The only reasons I'd understand is for sizes or allergies, but in general adopting is better.
Even after they begin to live with you, there are still vet visits to be paid (whether it's a normal check up or for when they're not feeling well), dog food, toys, necessities, and replacing items that may get ruined. And on top of that, you could be adopting a dog with issues that require extra attention. Don't forget the attention and space that they'll need. Every dog is different. Some people don't have the time or money for a dog, as badly as they want one.
That's what I got from that part of the video.
I liked that part! There are so many people that get a dog from somewhere and then realize that it costs money and get rid of it again. You never know what could happen to your pooch, it might need surgery or gets ill and that wont be cheap. Decent dog food is quite expensive too, I really prefere people that admit that they can't afford a dog for the moment than people that think they'll be fine and will have to give the dog away in the end.

Food and vaccinations and vet trips and toys and beds and toothpastes and shampoos and leads and collars and more food and surprise vet trips when they eat something plastic and coats (for shorthairs) and brushes and combs for long hairs and poop bags and bowls and towels and insurance and treats and more food. Initial cost of a dog isn't the point, it's that it can cost hundreds every year so you shouldn't just adopt a cute dog, you should provide them with a forever home which can look after them properly

If you dont have what it takes to give the dog the necessary living conditions then dont have it
Just got two pugs today, fostering them for a month. They are extremely overweight as the previous family left them on their own for 14 hours a day with lots of food.

One day, I'm going to get a dog, but I still live with my parents and they hate dogs and only like cats. (We have two, and like all cats they're such selfish jerks and I hate them and they hate me!) As soon as I move out and I have enough money, I'm getting a dog. Not just any dog, a very large dog. Either a bullmastiff or a Saint Bernard. They're like giant teddy bears, and I NEED one.
Make sure you've got enough time and space for that kind of huge dog! Most of the times, once you leave your parents, you only can afford a small place and don't have much time because of work and studies, nor enough money to take care of the dog as well :( and dogs are so amazing they deserve to get what they need to be happy too. But Just like you, I hope one day I'll be able to afford a huge dog as well, a Barnese Moutain dog, they're so lovely !

She even gave me the keys to her home so I could take them for walks, and spend time with them while she was at work. You could always get a dog with hypoallergenic fur (or hair, I guess you could call it), like a poodle.
There's plenty of good breeds for people with allergies.
It's probably not the fur you're allergic to, it's most likely the skin/dandruff and stuff.
