In this video we show you how to pose and photograph a 4 Month old baby safely for some adorable milestone 4 month baby photos. Many photographers find this age very challenging to photograph since babies are more limited to what they can do. If you've ever struggled photographing a 3 or 4 month old video, be sure to watch the entire video so that you can have confidence photographing your next baby! We show EVERY pose behind the scenes of how we would typically photograph a four month old baby for a paying client.

I delivered my baby in Feb and wasn't able to get any sleepy newborn poses as I tried it myself at the 2 months mark. I was so sad until now, but I am hopeful that I can still try sleepy poses with my lil guy.
That's too bad you weren't able to get those shots. At 2 months old it's going to be really hard but since it's your own baby you can probably still get some of those shots if you really want them. I would suggest having something set up and ready and waiting for your baby to naturally go to sleep or get sleepy. Have him ready in whatever you want him in for the photos and then slowly and gently set him into the prop or on the beanbag. If he squirms or starts to wake up, gently pat his back (if he's on his tummy) to soothe him. Sometimes pacifiers can be really helpful too, especially for older babies. The one benefit of older babies is that they start to develop a sleep schedule so you might be able to capitalize on that. Hopefully that helps!

What camera are you using? Xhat type of lens?
canon 5d mark III for that session. I now have the new canon r6 which I absolutely LOVE and HIGHLY recommend. I was using a sigma 50mm lens. I now have a sigma 50mm art lens which I also highly recommend
