In this video we show you how to pose and photograph a 3 Month Old baby safely for some adorable milestone 3 month baby photos. Many photographers find this age very challenging to photograph since babies are more limited to what they can do. If you've ever struggled photographing a 3 or 4 month old video, be sure to watch the entire video so that you can have confidence photographing your next baby! We show EVERY pose behind the scenes of how we would typically photograph a three month old baby for a paying client.
You always want to ensure that you are only doing poses that are safe and that you have a spotter super close by! We give you lots of tips, tricks and hacks that you can apply to your own photography so that you will finally feel comfortable with babies of this age.

I was wondering if you could recommend a starting off type of thing? My baby is in icu he’s 4 weeks old. Hoping we get him home in may,would you recommend buying any lighting for beginners to use? Or backdrop stand etc? Want to take some of these type of photos when I get him home. Thanks
HI, sorry for the late reply, I must have missed your message. I would recommend just window lighting if you're just looking to take photos of your own child. Then I would recommend using your own wall and floor and maybe just add props into the background. Getting a backdrop stand, lighting and backdrops can get very expensive if you're not looking to do photography professionally. But if you are looking to get into photography, we have recommendations listed in the description box of our videos. These are all high quality but budget friendly options. As an alternative light to the Einstein that we use, we would recommend the newwer strobe lights. Hope that helps!

Is the FLASH and Lighting Is Not Harm for Baby?

I. Can't take photos of my baby he moves a lot 😢 he's 3 months he's so jumpy
awwww, is he rolling over yet? What type of lighting are you using? If he can't roll over and you're using studio lights, you should be able to get some of him on his back in a low bowl or crte since he won't be able to go anywhere and the studio flashes would freeze the movements. If you don't have access to studio lights or you're just trying to use your phone, I would recommend trying outdoors in the shade with good even light and turn the flash off so you can take lots of photos as he's moving so you can capture some good sharp images
How many hours do you spend for a newborn shoot?
It depends on the package and the baby but usually between 2 and 4 hrs
My Big Camera thank you mam. Im having trouble making the baby asleep and putting the baby down and ending up doing it for two days. Any tips you can share mam? Thank you again.
@@joeram90 how old was the baby? Main suggestions are to keep the room very warm (about 25 degrees Celsius), use a white noise machine and to try to photograph the baby when it is under 2 weeks old. If you're new to newborn photography, keep the poses very simple. Another suggestion is to swaddle the baby as most babies will fall asleep when swaddled. Hope that helps!

@@joeram90 Oh ok, yeah with a 1 month old i wouldn"t have attempted sleeping photos unless i had lots of experience with older babies and the baby happened to be pretty sleepy. Every baby is different but most babies are very alert and fussy at a month old so to avoid stressing out the baby I would just pose them awake and do a very quick 1 hour session with baby one their back in bowls and baskets and some of the parents holding baby. if baby seemed sleepy and willing toward the end of the session i would attempt swaddling them to see if they would fall asleep but otherwise i wouldn't guarantee sleeping shots to the client. Most clients are perfectly happy with cute awake and naturally posed shots of their baby, the awake ones are always the ones that clients choose from galleries. just keep it short and simple to avoid stressing out the mom and baby too much, work quickly while the baby is awake and content and just focus on getting beautiful images of the baby. If the baby isn"t too squirmy you can try to get some detail shots too to fill out the gallery
