You mis-understand. Simple Traffic does not create any flights whatsoever - that is all with Asobo. All Simple Traffic does is make the standard livery a little more interesting and simplify the models. As for the AI behaviour, that is firmly with Asobo and not with Aerosoft.
I'm on the fence about installing AIG, and after watching your next video, I'll decide (but I sure won't consider Aerosoft). However, I do appreciate how you recognized there were some points of confusion and you jumped into action to address them. Thanks for that.

I have AIG Traffic and love it!! I had a little trouble at first installing it but that was due to where my community folder was located. It does allow you to have a separate community folder just for this application in a different location to shorten the path length to the directory.

I finally decided to install AIG having initially been put off by the complexity shown in a number of videos including your previous one. The good news is that it is actually pretty easy, and guys - if I can do it anyone can! Yes it takes a bit of time to download the plans/liveries -but if you start with with installing 10 - 20 won't take more than hour and half. Download the AIG Manager, set that up and download some liveries and then move on to the Traffic controller - that's the one that injects into the sim. Download a few liveries each day, makes such a difference to airports in the sim. Be bold - go for it!!
I don't get any enroute traffic. All the just sitting at the gate.

I’m not sure the unrealistic approaches are down to ‘Simple Traffic’. I was seeing them after the last world update and prior to my installing Simple Traffic.
Good review....and I agree. AIG is hard work - I will be honest I tried three times and could not get it right, its Beta and I watched many videos and got different things from different people. I got it working three days ago - and I love it. Still tweaking the density (as you mentioned I also get taxiway backlogs). Sometimes planes spin on the spot (not too often)....I have watched airports just to see departs and arrivals - its geeky ...but I was so impressed....and some of the sound is great. AIG is worth the effort. thanks
Thanks for this video. After having MSFS 2020 premium deluxe since launch day I never got to like it and stuck to xplane 11. It seemed that there had been some performance adjustments and finally two good payware aircraft (pmdg 737 and Fenix a320). I still wasn't ready to give it a try because I am not a fan of empty skies, airports and vatsim/online. Watching this video helped me finally decide to give this sim a chance two weeks ago. AIG is amazing. The aerosoft I was ready to buy, but it seems there are an awful lot of a330s. AIG has some bugs, but generally works well. Thanks
I think people have to look at the installation of AIG as something you would be doing and maintaining for a long period of time. What I mean is, don't expect to have a one click install of the entire thing. You have to take each step slowly and install each airline one by one. Start with the biggest airlines on day 1 then play if you want. Add more the next day, and so on. It's like building your library of add-ons. You don't expect to have it all on day one. You have to work on it and constantly improve. Once you're able to get to a decent place with around 100 airlines, it's absolutely worth it. The immersion is amazing.

Excellent comparator and in complete agreement. Have you tried simple traffic at a different airport? One of the Aesobo premiers? EGLL / Heathrow for example? Thumbs up btw and subb'd.
I installed AIG MAnag. and AIGTC and it's working good so far. . I have installed about 5 or 6 airlines, taking a fair amount of time but it was worthy.
This evening I finally was able to load up Heathrow with a bunch of major airlines installed in AIG. Totally mesmerising, just watching the different plane models and liveries. The graphics card took a beating though. :D

This has mostly worked for me except i get a lot of missing liveries in game and when i try to download the rest of the airlines, I now get a message that says...
The OCi installation is located in a directory that will come close to the maximum path length of 255 characters
To make sure AiM runs without issues it is suggested to move to the oci package somewhere else
Use the Move-option in th OCi settings to relocate the package and add a junction-link in your community directory so MSFS amd AiM can detect the new OCi location without issues

I do not think we can straight away blame 'Simple Traffic' for those unrealistic approaches. I have seen stock FS2020 traffic behave this way many times especially on large busy airports without any 3rd party add-on. Can we confirm this, as it maybe unfair to conclude it's a bug on Simple Traffic.

5:49 that 747 in the bottom left has its wing buried inside the terminal. lol. For the buzzing the tower thing, I am wondering if that is more just an MSFS bug. I have noticed that it happens in AIG too, but only really after a missed approach, and nowhere near that close to the ground. But again... freeware in a beta.
I also love with AIG how it has A380's are parked at A380 gates... the Dash 8's... GA aircraft... parked in the right spots. It's not perfect though since I have noticed, at places like in Sydney, at the Domestic terminal there is always an international jet at one gate in particular. I am guessing some gates are incorrectly marked as international in the airport files.
I’m looking at getting Microsoft flight sim for Xmas but I only have a laptop and an external hard drive (2TB). Would this be enough to run Microsoft flight sim at a reasonable resolution and frame rate or do you really need to get a proper PC or gaming laptop? Cheers

AIG now has a "One-Click" installer . . . I'm waiting to download because the file is currently offline . . .
I thought I would give AIG a try. It's not that head to get through the installation process. However, I have been waiting four days now for the approved registration from AIG. I wonder if that is normal.
I have AIG and i would say there is no comparison... AIG is better hands down, no generic aircraft, real flightplans, better on FPS than the default generic garbage.
I started installing it last night and got stuck on the Delta skins, tried downloading and nothing...
@@therealpoody7485 you can download all of them at ones without using the downloader. There is a guy on UA-cam to has a link to the zip file with all the airlines. The download is like 1.5 GB

Dude I really love your FS videos. Love how you actually go on with things. To put this video in a simple review, AIG wins easily and here's why. The guys are just flight sim enthusiasts, period. That's to only describe them how they are. They have an awesome site and forum, the models of the aircrafts they have are just amazing, one in particular is the Boeing 757-200 is just glorious, I don't know how many models (AI aircraft) they have but I'll tell you this, when you see an amazing livery that's one hell of a paint done by one of their painters, the many of them with super talent like the AA B777-200 we see at JFK. AIG traffic offers accurate models and liveries of real world traffic compared to Aerosoft. Those Southwest 737's we see here are actually 737 models with replicated Southwest livery unlike Aerosoft ones looking like an object aircraft with low LODs. Those models we see if not mistaking are the same ones from older sims, models like TFS, AIA, AIG, FAIB, DJC, AIM, FSP, UTT and many more along with paints done for them by the many work of the painters. They replicate flight plans and airliners fleet (aircraft type + liveries) to reality much they can and that's what fantastic about them. Yes it takes time to properly add our AI traffic in the sim but in the end it's worth it. Believe it or not, I'm still adding and organizing my traffic in FS2004 yes I still use that sim till I get a better pc to handle FS2020 (cap 60 or 30 fps without delay stutters). But to add traffic in older sims you need to make parking spots at an airport which takes time too because by default the sims comes without many parking spots however in FS2020 it doesn't seem required to do that as it comes already set due to replicating real world. A flight sim without great traffic is too neutral, AIG ftw! Credits to the modelers and painters, you guys rock.

I don't think it's fair to compare Simple traffic to AIG. The name says it all. I'd like to see a comparison between AIG and "FSLTL", their videos are awesome!

I installed AIG yesterday and boy was the time it took worth it! The weird behaviour is not because of the devs though I think? I believe it's due to the way Asobo handles their ai aircraft?

I have both and contrary to most people, I actually really like the Aerosoft simple traffic. I've found that it has worked well at all the airports I've tried, and less hassle than AIG, plus easier on performance. Also it seems like your expectations were higher than how Aerosoft pitched it - they were quite careful to explain that it was a 'simple' mod with some significant limitations.

the install for AIG is super easy! i dont how people think is difficult. the only thing that is time consuming is installing the airlines.
You are right. I installed AIG and it was easy, and for me AIG is much better than Simple traffic, look at the quality of simple traffic planes, they are horrible, and the landings and take offs are smooth.
It depends on which install video you use. Overkill's tutorial was not very good and very confusing. But I used a different video and it installed successfully. But I have both installed. KOAK Oakland airport was still missing aircraft at the gates. Strange. But just miles away, KSFO has nearly all gates filled. So I'm not sure why that's happening.

@Johan Etienne don’t forget that you have to install the flightplans airlines for the specific airports you’re flying into, and don’t forget that they’re flight plans for winter and summer

What the heck were those incoming planes doing? Jeez!!! Part of me wonders if Aerosoft released this when they did because of AIG's release (and probably not finished).
I do like AIG.. but I spent literally the entire day installing it and I still don't have a 777 model? so idk if I did something wrong or what because obviously from this video I should have some 777's around.. for example British Airways, I downloaded all the flight plans but apparently none of the 777 models installed? There are several models missing I'm just using that as an example. And I know they don't have 'every' model in yet.. I think they are about to come out with a 767? But anyways.. I'll look for your video on installing AIG and maybe I'll see something I missed.. thanks!!! :)UPDATE: in case anyone comes across this with similar issue, I ran the VerifySetup and unchecked FreewareOnly (aig reported a bug and said to uncheck it, on their discord i think?) But its going crazy downloading stuff now and it looks like several models that were missing are now installed, including 777's, 787's and I think some others.

AIG is actually very easy to install, yes it takes time to download but the rewards are great. I dont see a massive hit on performance running an older GTX 1080ti.

@@FlyBySimulations I got a 3070ti and suffer at least a 10 fps drop. Not a big issue as it stays above 30. The main issue is my traffic controller keeps shutting down (crashing).
The problem with easy traffic is 1- only has A330 and A380 models (at least for me), and I can see it has it for you too 2- uses MSFS traffic engine, which is not working at all at this stage. ''Real Time Traffic'' for, many users have no traffic at all, ''Offline Traffic'' has some non-sense behavior such as a lot of Aircraft flying across the airports at very low altitude with hardly any landings. AIG Traffic solves these two issues with their own flight models (yes does take time but pretty easy to install), and has it is own flight controller (so no more dependency on MSFS Live or offline traffic bugs).
Not one approach shown for AIG… can anyone comment on approaches with AIG?
Installing AIG TRAFFIC is easy as long as you pay attention to what you are doing. Overkill Simulations video on installing it couldn't be easier to follow and personally, I'm with him on the payware thing.
It would be great to have actual ground traffic moving Around where it should be, but a pair of jumbos is a bit much for money, if I pay for something I expect it to perform at least reasonably well. This sucks
I come from the Skyrim modding community, where if you tried to charge money for a mod, you would be ridiculed and berated endlessly out of the community. The amount of payware, and closed source software in the flight sim community still blows my mind.
I bought the Aerosoft and was disappointed. So I want to de-install it and go for AIG. I will look up your installation video.
These addons dont really make sense to me. Hasn't Microsoft/Asobo mentioned multiple times they are already working with Airlines to license their brads to have them in the AI traffic natively? To me one of the biggest appeals of FS2020 is having the sim do most of the basic things natively, and not having to add a ton of addons like in P3D/XP. Unless you're impatient, I would just wait for that.

hmm the free option is nice but it seems a pain to install and download the sets even if this is not perfect maybe for 15 bucks for a similation of things it might not be too bad.

AIG installer is not "complicated" per se, but the user interface is horrendous.... it could be streamlined a fair bit, but ... it's a beta, having the main core functions working has priority on UX I guess.
As a UX designer, I cringe at this interface 😬 I would love to help them out…
I got the same problem with Aerosoft Simple Traffic, it's ridiculous. I reinstalled the game, tested it on pure vanilla, everything. And it turns out that the problem is in payware product. In it's state it's totally unplayable.
Not gonna lie, I starting laughing out loud when the planes just started buzzing the tower and terminals at 100ft. Just wow!

The aircraft you think is an A320 is an A330 and it's obvious - twin wheels on the main gear and signature sharklets. Nose is pointy af though. AIG looks better.

Clearly AIG traffic Manger is much better with good traffic behavior and aircraft models with great textures. Simple traffic is good for trash (so disappointed I am!) …. As very poor design of aircrafts and anarchy flights across and over airports at very low altitude : totally unrealistic and Aerosoft has hidden this big default , they have released too quickly this unfinished ai traffic product . Hope a big update will improve a lot the quality level ! Cheers from Paris

I am staying with Aerosoft simple traffic. It’s like statet easy. The free beta one takes too much time to setup. Keeping all my planes and all my add ons updated is almost a full time job so I’m not spending many hours downloading all the extra airline companies liveries. MS / Asobo Will fix the ai traffic

I don’t see how you can review something for which you have not read the instructions. You should be berating Asobo, not Aerosoft, for the routing of the aircraft. Also, lets see how well AIG does after Sim Upgrade 7. Eventually you’ll discover that you get what you party for.

AIG is far too complicated. I would not install it. I want one button installation for any add on. I don't want any of them....yet.
It's really not that hard though... its slow as all hell for sure. You only need to create a couple of accounts to access some files on website databases (due to legal issues of AIG not hosting the files themselves). The big issue a lot of people get stuck on if they do the bulk install option with the ignore manual install checked (which a lot of people also miss, you don't have to DL everything individually) they will get one manually install and freak out and try and start again. All you need to do is DL that first manual one and it will work fine for the rest. After that... its just time, because holy shit it is slow to download.
And I don't want to create 2 accounts for using an addon.

In most of your video"s you forget things, actually not prepared. I suscribed when I was a new user and in the beginning I found your video's informative. Now I am a bit of a experienced user and I never follow the advice from 1 youtuber, but look at more. Maybe you have to do that too, before making a comparison.
Sorry for this negative review, I think you must focus on flightsimulator beginners and I wish you all the luck
