I agree that cash, cap & contract implications seem to support trading him prior to the draft. And, I agree that we'll field less talent on offense w/o him. But, I would contend that top-end speed, acceleration and 'twitch' were really the top elements of his game in terms of the talent he brought. We ran Achane for a handful of traditional WR routes last year and it really didn't seem like there was too much of a drop-off in terms of those elements in that super small sample size. When thinking about replacing the good elements Tyreek brought, I woudln't be surprised if in 2025 Jaylen Wright takes more of Achane's carries and Achane supplements some of Tyreek's speed WR threat. Not the % of plays Tyreek lined up for, but a meaningful amount. Accompany this with a more well-rounded TE threat to go along w/Jonnu and I think our offense has the potential to be better overall than with Tyreek.
It always cracks me up when he says he's not really a math guy, my wife is an accountant (a professional math gal) and the way talk about numbers without losing track is always astounding to me 😂 Kyle crabbs: my favorite closeted math guy 💚🧡🤣
Tyreek Hill is an cancer on the the Dolphins. He was habitually late for meetings and then quit on his team. You can't put the genie back in the bottle. Trade Tyreek for an early 3rd and 5th round pick or an 2nd round pick and move on.
I disagree with you Tyreek Hill was one of our best players. He is excellent at blocking for our runners. He is in excellent condition. He is a future Hall of fame member and has earned the right to control his own destiny. If he wants to stay we must max restructure his contract. If he was to leave we must send him to his preferred destination. Dolphins 🐬 are a country club team and the #1 preferred destination for NFL free agents.
I was against trading for him from the beginning. Gave up way too much draft capital and cap space for a WR. A top 5 QB maybe but not a WR. Didn’t win anything with him anyway, can’t even beat a good team on the regular. Won a few but they were exceptions. Now we’re considering letting him go, because no one is going to trade for him, only after 3 seasons. So Dolphins. Grier pisses away high draft picks for veterans because he knows he can’t draft. Problem is those veterans usually come with an exorbitant contract thereby fucking up your salary cap. Now we are stuck with Hill. Even Big O said Hill has no trade value and I agree.
@@Supremor-tj9dv someone will absolutely trade for Tyreek hill and there are plenty of hits and misses on Grier’s GM record in the draft but let’s not act like he’s never had a good class.
@@LockedOnDolphins Kyle you are right brother, but unfortunately for us and the Dolphins, the job of a GM is not like hitting a baseball. Hitting .300 as a batting % is unacceptable as a GM...but it does make him a hall of famer in baseball. 😁
Everyone should have seen this coming. Tyreeks contract was always set up that he was not on Miami in 2026. A smart GM would have traded him after 2023 when he was the #1 rated player and his value was high. Miami could have easily gotten a #1 pick back for him, if not more. Now they’ll be happy to get a 2. More black eyes for Grier
I hope that we get rid of tyreek. He was recently doing an autograph signing in Tampa where the post said he would be there from 5-9. By the time I got near the end of the line it was 7 and he left early and said he would be back tomorrow. I had to pay 30 dollars for parking at the event but it seems like he has no regard for people’s time and money which is not someone who I feel should be leading this Miami dolphins team at all.
Unfortunately sports celebrities are not always heroes off the field. Hence even more reason to honor and respect those that are and have been. #10's long list of "Off Field" issues goes back to KC and speak as to who he is as a person. That's as PG as I can put that!
I find it interesting that people even want his autograph. I’m not trying to be harsh with you, I promise. I just wonder in general why anyone would wait in a line for a guy who so publicly acted so terribly.
No, only his bank account and big mouth 😁 On a serious note... defenses have figured the Phins offense and Tyreek out. They push him around at the line of scrimmage because he is under sized or play a zone shell against him and Tua. He is also not getting that easy pre-snap upfield moving start this season.
Trading Tyreek isn't about making the team more talented, it's accepting the fact that trying to make the most talented overall roster is a failing concept in the sport. Trading Tyreek is a tone-setter, and to help get Draft capital in order to set the team up for real success, not the empty calories this circus of an offense has been feasting on for three years now. Buffalo's roster isn't more talented than Miami's, but they're a better team. Why? Because they have a disciplined culture and care about eating their vegetables and meat, instead of just going straight for dessert. And if we want Miami to be a competent team, let alone a great to elite team, then they have to start being discipline and doing what's necessary to win, not what's flashy. Be able to dominate the line of scrimmage on offense so you're not asking Tua and Achane to do literally everything. Be able to get your fucking play-calls to your QB before 10 seconds. Be able to actually run the right route and catch the damn ball. Be able to actually break a tackle and make a play. This offense has not only an OL problem, it has a culture problem, and it starts with Grier and McDaniel. And the only way they can change that and keep their jobs is to go radically in the opposite direction, and that probably starts with trading Tyreek.
Yeah it’s time to let him go. I don’t buy all his excuses to begin with bc when the ball was in his hands he looked average. Offense needs to have a high efficiency run game and big WR to compliment Waddle and Washington. I’d rather he goes Chubb stays through a restructure
Dolphins 🐬 ownership/management must max restructure all veterans players contracts for $102,000,000 to create $86,000,000 of salary cap space. To sign our draft class and free agents. Tyree Hill is a core player and if he wants to stay in Miami we must restructure his contract. If he wants to leave we must send him to his preferred destination. Lol Oh, and one more thing....Duke Riley....Really!! Duke Riley! C'mon Man. That alone is a fireable GM travesty.
Hill and Armstead should go. Chubb will be great and is needed. Armstead is a liability because you just know he can't play all the time and thats unacceptable for a left tackle.
I'm not rooting for the Chiefs. Sorry, but I don't want them winning 3 in a row. I'd rather see the Bills win one in our division and their fans have been thru alot. I never root for the same team to win unless it's the Dolphins. It's annoying to see the same team win every year. 😂
@LockedOnDolphins If it was the Jets. I'd probably be right there with ya. I can root for Josh Allen, James Cook, and Shakir. At least I don't have any Buffalo Bills fans as friends. If it was Miami, would Joe root for the Dolphins in this scenario? If so it's only fair to do it for Joe. 😂
I get what your saying man....but that buffalo on the helmet bothers me going back to Bruce Smith, Jim Kelly and Thurman Thomas. Besides...Taylor Swift never losses a playoff game or Superbowl Sir! 🤣
