With the ferro rod, you should be able to put a very small dot of gel superglue or clear epoxy on the back of the head of the rod. This will make the head a tiny bit larger and hold it in place when it’s in the slot. It might take a bit of trial and error, but should do the trick.
I have some replacement plus scales on my Compact, also without the pin slot. However, I’ve found that I can drop a pin, head down, into the slot for the toothpick and still fit the toothpick to hold them both in place. Just remember that when you occasionally use the toothpick the pin could fall out, but I’ve found it to be a useful workaround.

It’s surprising you had to glue these scales. I have installed the Promotheus G10 SAK on my Victorinox just by clipping them and no issue so far.

Look i own alot of knives. From $50-$3000 from victorinox CRk shirogorov and alot of customs. But hands down the victorinox supertinker is my fav victorinox. I always have her in my pocket with one other locking knife, normaly my large sebenza

Any idea how to remove these scales? I have brass scales on my SAK, glued with UHU Plus Endfest and I want to change these scales.
No idea other than brute force. I don't think I could ever get mine of with the 2k epoxy.
I have Letherman Surge. For me, best multitool ever. Has everithing that I need, looks good and have amazing grip. You also get very nice leather pouch with it.
Micarta can look nice and this colour is okay but the pattern/finish on these really lets it down in my opinion.
