Under appreciated intellect and delivery. Dudes a star.
what he ^ said. He’s good, funny Af😄
Absolutely agree, helmet strap
"And you're wearing three rosaries." 😅
😂😂
"Something about gunshots and police sirens, it's like a white noise machine to us."
Hilarious and true in a way
I wonder how many people got the double entendre immediately, or missed it completely *8 )
I live in a village and my partner lives in London he puts on olive sirens on after the third day to feel at home. 😂
Aww man just stfu
@@JanjayTrollface OMFG I just now got it.
the way i said YESSSS, wu tang gives me peace 😫
“Then you should be selling druuugs” 😭😭😭😭😂😂😂😂DYYYYYIIING Laughing
"Yo, you care about a woman's grammar?"
"What do you mean? Like her period?"
Technically, yes. Lmao
Don't leave me
exact one i was finna comment on haha
HahahahH
Like how he did that 😂😂
you should change it instead of "Technically, yes" you should put "Yes, but no"
This guy's got it. Ian Lara - we want more standup from you.
freaking fax!!!
I agree 100
This dude is funny, cant wait to see how his comedy is going to change as he grows.
agreed, he has solid jokes and a really good delivery, he could do great
100%
facts
The skit of his grandparents being together for 59 years,; and now they're thinking about getting married!
Hilarious!
Totally like his flow and delivery.
Hope he becomes a great success!
My Grandmother might be the one
I don’t get it. Can someone explain the joke ?
@@rxnnnz9698 Hispanic parents have the stereotype of not marrying because of the Catholic upbringings of not wanting to divorce.
So instead of being stuck in a marriage, some people just stay "partners" until they want to marry lmao
Also they can be lazy lmao
My parents been together for 10 years and haven't gotten married in the church yet XD
His accent is such a fascinating mix between African American and Latino and it’s dope af
Thanks for 2pac; "Even as a crack fiend Mama, you always were a Black Queen, Mama!" 📝😄
This comment confused me for a moment because that’s how a lot of people sound where I’m from.
Isn't that what the average Jet Blue ground crew sounds like? Lol they are all born in NYC or grew up there, but originate from DR, Puerto Rico, or Cuba.
You mean it's a normal voice? Cause it just sounds like a normal voice.
Cancelled On Twitter not sure what ‘normal’ is in terms of accents but sure.
Accidentally clicked on this but glad I did.
Same bruh
Unique perspective
I clicked cause my name Ian and there’s another kid named Ianz bday today
Same
EXACTLY
I was waiting on him to speak Spanish tho ...
Me too 🤣🤣🤣🤣
i dont understand this expectation that u need to prove u can speak another language to random ppl lol. Y'all always be like u speak Spanish?? say something in spanish!! like bxtch no. u wudnt knw wtf i was saying anyway loool
sammme

IThink_ BLM ok so are you gonna speak it or ....
"grammar" = period - this is genius
This was hilarious! I was 37 when I had a child. I had a black friend that was 42 with no children. I said, Do you know how rare you are? He said, I’ll never be well done. 😆😆😁
Bars 🤣🤣🤣
Mans a genius
That's clever. I decided to stop dating and vowed to never have children when I was in my early 20s. I don't even fap lol. We exist.
"There's a crackhead in my neighborhood I gotta call Beyonce."😂 I will laugh at that forever.
Literally never stepped foot in the US and this man had me CRYING over what it was like to be there. KILLED IT!!! Tightest set i've heard in a while.
This dude is the one. Too funny!
6:57 "My grandmother might be the one."
"i met a dude named King"
I know a dude named Lord Almighty, his brother is Casanova and their sisters name is Tapioca...Im not joking
One of my friends has a sister named tangerine 🍊 🤦♀️
I knew a girl named, "Latrina."
I guess her parents were really into toilets. Maybe they will have other children and name them "Beday," and, "Urinalia".
@@pscoolguy Urinalia is kinda cool ngl O.O
Just since his SISTA ain't named Pa- ja-ma!!!! FOR REAL DOE?!!😁
What...!!!
My great grandparents came to the us from Hungary as a teen and and 21. My great grandmother learned English, she knew German, and kept speaking Hungarian all her life. My great grandfather never learned after even 60 + years! He relied on his wife, even as a business owner. It takes skillz. Lol
This guy was funny as hell
‘Was’...Is he dead 🧐
Tooooooo funny. Wishing you much success !
Kenya where I am from converted to the metric system early on after our independence. My Mom was young but she recalls people going to the butcher and asking for a kilometer of meat. For Americas is like asking for 10 yards of meat. That's not how it works! 😂🤭🤣
Don't judge someone till you've walked a kilogram in their shoes
Damn, what did they need 22 pounds of meat for!?
Science geek, so I learned it for fun.
Hmmmm. I'm Kenyan and I have yet to hear of such an experience like your mom's. Very unique 😬😬😬💀💀💀
@@bobtube414 so subtle, im dead
His mother knows that English ain’t a real language 😂😂😂😍🥰🥰navy seal commitment 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

This guy has a freaking smooth delivery. Loved it ❤️
Ian Lara: "You want me to call you they, i'll call you they. There's a crack head in my neighborhood i gotta call Beyonce".
Me: hahahaha😂..hey that rhymes..LOL
The “thank you” at 00:52 was so wholesome
Our white noise machine lol "Not adapting is the most American thing you can do." Realest chit ever
I was born in America but I refuse to change my accent lmaoo
Y'all not understanding me and that's fine with me!
The fact the he’s on the hustle and doesn’t care how he refers to someone is one of the most wholesome things I’ve heard a comedian sayy
Every New-Yorker Favorite Line:
*-Well, This Is New York City*
LMAO 🤣 " We already made our signs I'm sorry"
My new favorite comedian! None of his jokes fell flat 😂
I have a friend named King. When we met I didn't believe him for a few months.
Crazy! I do too and I asked to see his ID before I believed him. It is a cool name.
My MMA coach was named Dragon. Like I learned to fight from Dragon. I thought it was weird when I was introduced, but it's a really cool thing for me to be able to say.
🤣🤣🤣
Had a friend in junior high named christ our lord
My youngest in named Queen and NOBODY believes it lol
🤣 I’m 29 also and i had kids in my earlier years and now after growing up i don’t think I’d have kids if it was now. I don’t regret my kids or anything but i also think humans need to leave the earth alone, we fucking it up tooooo much.
Is it me or does he sound like a young Denzel Washington who decided to become a stand-up comedian?
I thought this and seconds later saw your comment. Creepy!!! But yes, I agree. I thought to myself “why do I feel like he could do a killer Denzel impression”
he gave me keith robinson vibes
Yesss
Denzel Washington is from new york, and so is he... thats probably partially why they sound similar.
Yes he does...in the movie where he is a corrupt police officer.
“Im bringing NYC wit me. I got a New York attitude, I can’t live nowhere else” 💯haha
When he spoke about his grandparents, that legitimately happened with my friends grandparents. They finally got married after 50 years together
Who else sat & waited for him to speak spanish. 😅
Sooo proud of my Dominican brother, so talented
Yes indeed 👍🏻
& black.
SOMEONE GIVE THIS MAN A SPECIAL!!!🙌🙌🙌
Lmaoooo my mom is the same way she been here since 21 yrs old and shes 62 now and no englishhhh love my ma
Love your name. Genesis.
Thank you cheese
I want this guy to make it! I love his style of comedy.
I’ve never seen him before but there is something about him that looks so normal. Protect Ian at all costs
the grammar joke at the very end had to marinate a little but i finally got it.
You let it soak your brain like a tampon?
i still don't get it but i laughed
@@clumsiii Like her period? A period is like an exclamation point and a part of grammar.
Sean Sinha Well it’s not an exclamation point ( . vs. !), but yeah it’s a type of punctuation which is part of grammar
@odibex please explain the punchline, then. Lol
"You can understand Spanish, ALEJANDRO."
I love the "Alejandro".
🤣 "this is from the heart"
yo I worked in a homeless shelter in NYC where one of the residents nick names was Beyonce lol
Yo, why New Yorkers say yo all the time
@@DWEthiopia yo, idk
@@DWEthiopia you should hear Baltimore
What he said about Pac is so true. I never grew up with a mom. But I cry almost every time I listen to that song.
"Don't you get tired of coming home, and nothing you care about is waiting for you when you get there?"
Actually, no, I love that all this money is for me and my expanding game collection. And I'm only spending a small fraction of what I have. Could you imagine if I had a family? This money would no longer exist. And don't get me started on privacy. XD
Amen
I almost died at the way he said "amazon prime"
Exactly!
Clearly, this James that responded to my comment has never seen his friends or family members lose their money, time, and sanity after having a kid. :p
And clearly u haven't lived life long enough
I love when ppl don’t know I speak Spanish my mother is Puerto Rican! Ppl, be like your a Latina?? Yes my dad Jamaican and my mom is Puerto Rican, there are black ppl in Spanish speaking countries! We are Afro Latinos/Latinas
The same happens with us white Latinos too. My mom is from Dominican Republic and my dad is from Brazil. Both are white as hell and still speak no English. My dad speaks only Spanish and Portuguese and my mom speaks Spanish, Creole and French and when I speak Spanish, the Americans look so surprised when I tell them I’m from Dominican Republic 😂. 2 guys were talking ish saying they wanna take me home for sex and when I responded in Spanish they actually ran 😂
"email Uber and tell them about your kingdom" 😆😆😆
I enjoyed more of this set than I enjoy of most of the comedians on UA-cam. Keep going Mr. Lara.
this is really quality classic stand up. His timing is flawless and it flows so comfortably- wow, I'm really impressed. And for whatever reason I've seen literally all of youtube standup routines. quarantine and whatnot

Homeboy sounding like a high paced Denzel Washington 😂🔥
Anybody else notice how much he sounds like Denzel??
He does
Idk why I didn’t think he’d be funny but he’s hilarious 😭😭
Love this! The uber routine, his routine about his Mama, original material, very creative, his New York attitude. All fun!
His jokes are Dead ass Facts on New York, luv my city...
*reads title* manohman this is gonna be a wiiild ride & im buckled in & ready for it!
'Grammar? Like her period?'
Is actually a VERY good question. WHERE does she punctuate? And does she use full stops when question marks or exclamation signs would be more appropriate?
Not a single curse word. Just pure laughter. Thank You.
I loved that joke about Tupac. Ian Lara has his same skills of making you relate to what he's talking about, lol!
Yea my mom served 25 years in the Air Force, yet I resonate w that line in Dear Mama so much💀💀💀
I just love his stand ups! Can’t wait to see more!!!
Love it how he sounds like JayZ and Denzel Washington in one!!
Easy for the ears...
So like he sounds like a New Yorker basically is what you are saying.
@@manateebasketball6771 hahaha yeah.. i guess.. but no.. JayZ has a One of a kinds sounding voice right?, This dude comes close...

Great timing and funny as hell.
"You're wearing three rosaries" 😆
Hidden gem for sure!!!!! Will be watching more !!!
This 11 min video has 4x more laughs than the two Netflix specials I just watched, combined.
He's fast and smart...looking for more!
Heard Mark Normand talk abt this guy on Tuesdays with Stories. This dudes hilarious 😂😂😂
Great stand-up! Loved every minute.
Understated quick wit. A solid set...looking forward to more from him!
That uber part made me spit out all my food
How cold is it at the Comedy Cellar?
I think it's cuz they just walk off the street n go in then go out. My partner said he been there that wat he said
Maybe he just wanna stand out n look good who knows
I have been there a few times (as an audience member) but the comedy cellar literally is more or less just a cellar. The comedians come on down and then they go back outside or go to the restaurant upstairs. Some comedians drop in unannounced and do unscheduled shows. Also, as an audience member, it was different. The two drink minimum kept me slightly warm.
@@moarroz makes sense.
This dude is next up. Great confidence on stage, nice even timing and funny af... really enjoyed this set 👏🏽
The not adapting to the cutler is the most American thing is so true and hilarious 😂
We already made our signs lol 😂 day
This guy is good. I laughed the entire time! ❤️
That last one had me rolling!
Ian is one of my favorite comics right now, his set for Comedy Central is legendary
"That fine but.....UBER says I need to look for a guy named JONATHAN "
that amazon prime line hit really hard.
He is GOOD! Very insightful. His ability to bring you along is smooth and thorough. His last sec change of direction is smooth with old subject matter but original content. No doubt this guy is intelligent and a hard worker. His sets show it!
One of the best bits suggested to me lately. This guy's hilarious.
He brought up pronouns and I literally was like "oh no" but my king pulled through for me!
Lmao! As a New Yorker, I totally agree with him 😂😂😂😂
Its been awhile since I watched someone and liked their content to where I want to watch more of them,, I hope he does more stand up in the future!
I like that stage set up it brings a real laid back feeling and the dj even looked into it
Dude is hilarious. Wanna see more from him.
That thing about listening to gangsta music is real when you're upset really works for me too. It only takes 40 minutes and you're back to normal.
By an hour in you’re back to some smooth ass rap lmao
This dude is amazing. Waiting for more from him
Dude you're gold! Very funny set! Can't wait for more
