It's a paintball marker.. they all theoretically function the same.
At the base level you're letting air pas through a valve to push a ball.
So, does the magazine regulate a charge of air or is the burst of air all released with the hammer and timed by spring weight?
If it's just a hammer fired poppet style marker.. you're best bet is to increase the hammer spring tension/weight so it holds the valve open a bit longer. If the air is non regulated and it just flows straight from the cartridge to the ball, then the heavier hammer spring will hold the valve open a little longer and let more air through. This would most likely increase your trigger pull weight though.
Another, sketchier option would be to reduce the valve spring pressure. If you can adjust that you have solved your own problem. Just play with that setting til you find a balance. If you cant... you can clip the spring... That could cause a list of problems if you over do it though. Including the valve spring not having enough strength to bounce the hammer back.
Your other problem there is a mix of barrel length and available air pressure/volume. More pressure would push through faster and really help. If the pressure is regulated.. you may not get a lot of gain there because you wouldn't have the volume to make up for it by the time the ball left the short barrel.
Some time ago all us paintball nerds determined you needed 8" of un ported, properly sized barrel to reach 300 FPS accurately so I'm sure there's a good balance with something like this.
From my almost 25 years of doing paintball stuff.. I'd have to guess that modding that tube you drilled would hurt more than help in the long run. Specially if the drill bit marred it up.
    Best of luck.

Facts! The two springs definitely work. Fine line in between so dnt push it too far with the lighter valve spring and the heavier hammer spring...

The hole on the side of the mag is a safety. If the hammer happens to drop when the trigger is not pulled (barrel has not been pushed into mag), a lot of the air will leak out that hole instead of pushing the projectile with full force.

Hi Ben. Try to glue a pice of lead on the hammer, making it heavyer. Make the firingpin ca 1mm longer is also a trick. The valvespring can be cut down or put in a softher valvespring. All this mods combined will make the locktime longer and so release more CO2 when firing. Good luck 😉👌👍

Hi Ben, I have a similar T4E gun, TMP1, it uses the same mag, I have found Two other ways to improve power, if you separate the silver part from the black part, via, two knock out pins, remove the spring for ammo first,, the pin that punches the co2 canister has only less than a 1mm bore to let gas through, I used a spike and widened to 2/3mm, also there’s a metal round filter, that sits on top, which restricts flow, I punched a hole in the middle, doing this, has made mine have a louder bang, sorry I have no crono, hope this helps u,,

@@wesman7837 Hello. Some states have restrictions on the power of air guns. Google New Jersey and Rhode Island concerning airguns and you may be surprised. In those States even an airsoft gun is considered a firearm. Illinois has restrictions as well. I am confident that other states have some restrictions as well. The simplest modification to the 43 caliber pistols is the spring for the valve in the magazine. It allows more CO2 per shot giving a slight increase in fps. A couple of places sell that spring it's very inexpensive. Also, the 43 caliber pistols do not shoot BB's. There are many high-powered hunting and recreational pellet guns as you mentioned. In most States there are restrictions even for carrying these types of guns concealed or possibly otherwise. Always check with the state attorney in your area about these guns before purchasing. I also am referring to many of the less lethal type pistols etc. Please don't assume that anyone may carry one of those on their person. A person possibly could be charged with carrying a concealed weapon. I hope that helps.

I enjoy your videos I know it takes a lot of time to do these things on youtube. I don't have any experience with the 43 caliber pistols but something just crossed my mind. You say you were porting that valve or stem thing to try to get more power. What if you were to adjust the spring that goes around it to make it either lighter or heavier I don't know which so that you would have a larger volume of air coming from the CO2 cartridge going through what you just ported. I was simply thinking that although you ported it ,assuming it was done correctly, no extra CO2 was permitted to actually flow through. Just an idea perhaps it would be worth going back and trying that although I understand it's your time and money. Thanks again for your time and endeavor concerning this matter.

Personally I think you didn't open her up enough, the drilled valve stem holes wasn't the best. There's many ways to increase the power but not drastically due to the short barrel. If you have a longer barrel hidden by mod then you can get good results. Hammer springs, valve stems & valve block need to be opened up also along with piercing pin valve hope this helps

I went ahead and purchased a ppq43 new just for the heck of it. I'm used to revolver firearms with some semi-auto experience. I can't say anything about any of the other 43 calibers from umarex but the PPQ I thought I had a pretty darn good trigger. But then again I'm used to mostly revolver firearms. I found the trigger squeeze to be very similar to a revolver certainly not semi-auto but double action so it felt good to me. But I've also read that the PPQ has the best trigger squeeze out of all of them except I don't know about the new glock gen 5. I tried the PPQ with riot balls solid aluminum I believe they are approximately 1.9 grams. It felt fairly strong for what it is with that projectile that's the only projectile I have for it. Complete technology solutions on UA-cam is researching modifications that actually may work for these 43 caliber pistols and he stated that if he finds something that works and is actually reliable he will modify and then post. I purchased this for fun not for any kind of defense. I also installed the rubber Ball heavier spring that accompanied my pistol before firing it. I've read some people haven't bothered and that's fine if it works for them that way. I hope everybody has a good week.

I read of a lot of problems with the Smith & Wesson 43 caliber although I think it looks nice. It would be nice if somebody truthfully had a mod that was doable and documented for the 43 caliber pistols. I think some of the people are just making it up thinking it's funny to lead people on. The 43 calibers have been out for years and home defence 24 attempted to modify one of them but ran into leaking issues and stopped attempting to modify them. Got some CO2s of course and some rubber rounds. I saw they have the HK coming out soon too! I just don't know how accessible they are, also one of the biggest reasons I went with the walther is because umarex seems to have the emergency quick pierce mags which are mandatory in my opinion. @Maddogairguns there is a guy, and he has a website "air funners," and he sells shorter and softer springs. The mods you have done won't show anything until you change the springs. Stronger hammer spring and a shorter, softer valve spring. You also closed a port on the clip that is just to release air pressure through the sides of the clip... incase it fires from pushing the slide back accidentally when charged. That's why it still blew back... plus, if you delete the slide action... you will eliminate semi-auto fire. You would have to rack the slide for every single shot. It's not that this isn't worth the time or money... its action and power are made differently than the HDR50 and 68, that's all. With this paintball gun, regular old school paintball gun knowledge is what's proper for this one. The power generated is much different than the means of the HDR revolvers. If you get the extended clips, or learn to make one extended... there is MUCH more power to gain from "air volume"... plus the softer/shorter valve spring. Get the aluminum rounds, too... they shoot much MUCH better in this gun all around...then the rubber ones. And you can definitely take this thing to the next level with a longer barrel. You can easily buy a barrel extender that looks like a silencer... and it would be rather simple to figure out a way to secure it...taped down the end opening for even more. Everything can be ported and polished to a high gloss internally. I have heard people are actually having to tighten down the spring for the slide... because it's at risk of flying off the back. If you can modify others, you can definitely do it to this one, too. But like i said, with more smaller/moving parts with a different delivery system is automatically gonna be much different than the ease of the HDR revolers. Different but definitely not worthless. I live in America, and i livenin a state with stricter gun laws than the UK!! In NJ we have the strictest laws in the country... even cali has more leeway than we do in NJ. We can even buy slingshots in NJ, and we can also be charged with a firearms charge for anything that propels ANY projectile big or small.. with procession and use of a firearm. We cant buy mace or pepper balls, not even pepper spray in NJ!! No BB or pellet guns, and not even a paintball gun with anything other than paintballs as projectiles... or we can get charged as if it was a real real gun! There is NJ, and then the rest of America... its outrageous and disgusting what the leftist dems have done to our state!!! If someone if robbing your house blind... we can use anything to make them leave or stop if they arent actually in the action of attacking you violently...AND EVEN THEN, WE HAVE A DUTY TO RETREAT AT ALL COSTS NO MATTER WHAT! we must ask them to stop and leave our property... and if they refuse, we arent allowed to do anything but run away and let them continue! They can and will rob your house blind, and with Biden and the disastrous dems in power... they have defunded most poloce and local police in the suburbs. So you basically can call the cops... but they might never show up since they have 1 town patrol 7 other towns now! We have no rights in nj... the criminals that are released on no cash bails, in and out, and right back in and out again....over and over and over again, have all the rights with dems in power, not law abiding citizens that have never been in trouble a day in our lives!!!! Cant use a knife, cant use a bat, cant use a even a slingshot.. they are illegal in NJ! They say on the NJ website that pepper spray and mace is "allowed for un licensed use" unlike everything under god is in NJ... but no shops, stores, websites or anywhere will sell or ship pepper spray to NJ! So next time you think something isnt worth the trouble... think of me and my family in NJ, where we can get charged for throwing a stick or rock at someone robbing my house to the ground! Have a good one my friend lol... and no, I wish I was actually joking about how bad the leftist dem Poloticians in nJ take a p!ss on our rights as law abiding citizens.
