I enjoyed my Notre Dame experience to the fullest. Even as I lived it, I missed it.

So many scenes are identical to when I was a student in the late 1960's. Heartwarming.

Well, you brought tears to my eyes. I wish I'd been happier when I was there, but I guess I was a typical college student. Thank God for long walks around the lakes.

Dang, surprised you weren't happy there. I probably would've been happy there, though can't be certain about that.

@@Kevin-it4fh Oh, it's a beautiful campus and having the seasons on full display was fantastic. Feeling nearly frozen regularly was actually an adventure, especially during blizzards. I loved walking in white outs. My problem was having to deal with narrow minded profs in my department whose intellectual pettiness limited a full exploration of my interests.

@@rr7firefly hm, I really thought that that wouldn't be the case for such a highly ranked school. Maybe it's different nowadays

@@Kevin-it4fh This was the architecture department which, at the time, was still a mix of old school practitioners and young turks with bold new design theories. While I had my champions who understood my desire for a comprehensive approach which integrated other design disciplines, I still had to deal with dinosaurs who were not concerned with social issues nor with contemporary aesthetics. I would have done much better at Sci Arc, CAA (San Francisco) or at an Ivy League school.

@@rr7firefly interesting, I guess ND wasn't as good in that department at that time.
