Relax with a Void Painter | ASMR | Painting Sounds (Brushes & Palette Knife)

- Relax, doze off, maybe even sleep to the repetitive, soporific sounds of paint brushes and a palette knife dabbing against and sweeping across the surface of a canvas as a painter recreates the likeness of the void you find yourself in.
By the way, in case it wasn't blatantly obvious: I'm not a painter. I don't excel at any one thing as I'm an eclectic mixed media creative type that dabbles in a variety of mediums and interests. I don't have that "one-track mind" (or whatever the correct term is) like those who excel in their fields (painter, guitarist, sculptor, etc.). Maybe that has to do with ADHD, I don't know....
Oh, and I'm also lefthanded, but I've been trying to do things righthanded lately for comedic value, and also so that every character I portray isn't always left handed. Of course, I was forced to use my right hand in this video as I wanted the canvas to be on the right side of the screen when watching, since it's the subject of the video. And it's also reminiscent of Bob Ross, who lives rent free in my unconscious mind and is impossible to evict, along with many others. It's like some kind of squatters' paradise in there.

This is a very interesting artistic exercise. I can't help but think about how a painting that focuses purely on texture, rather than color or shape, mirrors the way that ASMR is a sonic art form that prioritizes texture over, say, melody. Very cool.
...as an aspie with bad eyesight can confirm that touch based art is something I oddly happy? For me kids witch touch based art was more of a thing
It is interesting to see people come to the same conclusions that postmodern artists come to by themselves, when abstract post modern art is so disliked.
@@scrambo6182it's arguably post postmordern art, as postmordern art mostly carry the intention of making you think, as well as often having a political/socialtal message, while art like this, challenges the way you'd not just think, but also how you'd experience it

Nice to see this void has a magnetic field off the charts. How Vincent Van Rift's head stays perfectly in stasis hovering above his body is remarkable. Excellent work to the staff at the Sanitarium for this one

I saw it as an homage to Bob Ross, with the black background and being on left side of the screen with the canvas on the right.

Yo, if you're interested in that, check Pierre Soulages. French artist that works on a concept called "Outrenoir" iirc. It's all about the texture if I were to grossly summarize it

Idea for a video: The Void man. Sells little baggies or jars full of void particles (could be as simple as painting them black or could go above and beyond and use black sand) while explaining the dangers and uses of said particles.
You have captured the Void I inhabit exactly. It is the masterly application of Ivory Black as it contrasts to Mars Black and evokes the Seven Hells of another viewing of "Miracle on 34th Street" this Season. Now I know I am not alone (well actually I am) in this Void. Thank you.

Hello Mr. Rift..,. Incredible ! The depth of your talent is unmatched . I actually got chills when you mix the two blacks to perfection . You can feel the different dimensions of this void . Not once did I see Mr. Riff refer to the void he was painting . Based on memory . Working his personal touch to this masterpiece shows unparallel perception . I hope Mr. Riff paints my personal favorite next...... "Dark Energy". Painting "Dark Energy " maybe the most challenging of all paintings . Excellent work !
i like to think, for any void we do not have any communication with outright, you can just *feel* what the void likes and is as a person (you get the feeling of what their hobbies are in a way)
