    Glad I watched this. Video. Never really ever gave ZMans ElaZtech a try. That looks like a perfect pairing. For that rig. Looks like the material is tough enough to withstand the rigging and most importantly. Catching.

    I'm glad you you showed the rigging of the bait, because when we talked awhile back going through the center like a normal texas rig I didn't thinl it would work, but now I see how it ought to go & it looks a lot better! Thanks! What about the Hercules swim bait?🎣👍

      You can technically rig it both ways. I've had the Ozark for months now and I've been playing with it. I really believe it depends on the actual bait you are using as to go in the nose or through the top of the nose.

    • @SonarFishing

      It definitely looks better hooked through the top. Would you like me to do a video on the HerculeZ?

    Ozark is an Awsome rig . I've found if your bait wants to slip up at the Hook eye you can slip a piece of toothpick through the hook eye after threading the bait on and cutting off the excess . Kind of like a stopper .
    The General works well with a little shimmy on the fall .

    Really looking forward to giving this rig a try this season! The Palmetto Bugz should be a good candidate for that rig as well. Could you advise on what weight ozark rig to use for different depth ranges (generally of course) I know it can vary according to circumstances.

    Great video! I’ve been fishing it since they released it, and I’m hooked. I’ve never tried the Senko style baits on it, so I will have to give that a test. I normally fish the Deps Bullflat or Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver on it and it is amazing.

    Never had a problem hooking fish on elaztech till I saw guys on y.t. saying not to texpose. Missed every bite I got once I started hooking it threw the middle so I went back to texposing and now it doesn't matter how I hook it bc it never leaves the plastic . . Idk what I did and it was def me but now I don't use elaztech and I don't miss fish. Loved zman a ton now I can't get the hook to penetrate out all the 20 packs of bang stickz I bought 😂😂😂

    • @SonarFishing
      @SonarFishing  10 місяців тому

      That’s really weird that happened like that. Unfortunately, one of the things we don’t say enough in these videos is that if it works for you, no matter what anyone else says is “better” it may not be better for you. Don’t fix it if it doesn’t need fixing! I hope you go back to Zman one day because they have some amazing products. Hook them the way that works for you and don’t listen to guys like me that rig it differently.

    I want to see a video on a wobblehead. I think it might be the best bait for me in my area. Even in grass it still works great. That and I want zman to make one with the ZWG style keeper to help keep the bait from sliding down the hook

    This definitely isn't more weedless than the Texas Rig. This rig adds even more surface to the front of the bait. Flat surface at that. A T-Rig with the worm/flipping weight is was more streamline/weedless.

    • @SonarFishing
      @SonarFishing  9 місяців тому +2

      It’s definitely not as streamlined as a Texas rig, but what meant was that it protects the hook as well as a Texas Rig. Thanks for watching.

    Is it just a lift and reel retrieve?

    • @SonarFishing
      @SonarFishing  10 місяців тому

      I would say it is more of a lift, let it fall, then reel in the slack retrieve. But yes, I would say it is similar to how I fish a wacky rig!

    Looks like there is nothing wrong with the 6: 5 :1 i think a lot of fisherman really over complicate things.My dad use to catch fish with a cane pole,wine cork ,and safety pin.He would hide that set up in the weeds and skip school to go fishing.

    • @SonarFishing
      @SonarFishing  10 місяців тому +1

      That’s a fact! If you’ve got money on the line that’s one thing, but if you just want to catch fish, there’s something to keeping things simple!
