Glad I watched this. Video. Never really ever gave ZMans ElaZtech a try. That looks like a perfect pairing. For that rig. Looks like the material is tough enough to withstand the rigging and most importantly. Catching.
That 5 pounder Stopped you dead in the lay down and I thought you were snagged 😮😂😂😂. Always fun watching you when I can’t get out on the lake😜😎🍀🎣🍀👍👍👍👍 I really love the Core Tackle Line of products 💯
I'm glad you you showed the rigging of the bait, because when we talked awhile back going through the center like a normal texas rig I didn't thinl it would work, but now I see how it ought to go & it looks a lot better! Thanks! What about the Hercules swim bait?🎣👍
You can technically rig it both ways. I've had the Ozark for months now and I've been playing with it. I really believe it depends on the actual bait you are using as to go in the nose or through the top of the nose.
Ozark is an Awsome rig . I've found if your bait wants to slip up at the Hook eye you can slip a piece of toothpick through the hook eye after threading the bait on and cutting off the excess . Kind of like a stopper . The General works well with a little shimmy on the fall .
Nice. I've definitely been wanting to get some of these when my payday aligns with them being in stock. It just makes a lot of sense with how I fish here in the Ozarks.
Great video!!! You were Blessed today with those fine catches!! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on how & what to use with the Ozark Rig!! Looking forward to putting a few in my tackle arsenal!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!!🤠👍
Really looking forward to giving this rig a try this season! The Palmetto Bugz should be a good candidate for that rig as well. Could you advise on what weight ozark rig to use for different depth ranges (generally of course) I know it can vary according to circumstances.
Great video! I’ve been fishing it since they released it, and I’m hooked. I’ve never tried the Senko style baits on it, so I will have to give that a test. I normally fish the Deps Bullflat or Reaction Innovations Sweet Beaver on it and it is amazing.
Never had a problem hooking fish on elaztech till I saw guys on y.t. saying not to texpose. Missed every bite I got once I started hooking it threw the middle so I went back to texposing and now it doesn't matter how I hook it bc it never leaves the plastic . . Idk what I did and it was def me but now I don't use elaztech and I don't miss fish. Loved zman a ton now I can't get the hook to penetrate out all the 20 packs of bang stickz I bought 😂😂😂
That’s really weird that happened like that. Unfortunately, one of the things we don’t say enough in these videos is that if it works for you, no matter what anyone else says is “better” it may not be better for you. Don’t fix it if it doesn’t need fixing! I hope you go back to Zman one day because they have some amazing products. Hook them the way that works for you and don’t listen to guys like me that rig it differently.
I want to see a video on a wobblehead. I think it might be the best bait for me in my area. Even in grass it still works great. That and I want zman to make one with the ZWG style keeper to help keep the bait from sliding down the hook
This definitely isn't more weedless than the Texas Rig. This rig adds even more surface to the front of the bait. Flat surface at that. A T-Rig with the worm/flipping weight is was more streamline/weedless.
Looks like there is nothing wrong with the 6: 5 :1 i think a lot of fisherman really over complicate things. My dad use to catch fish with a cane pole, wine cork ,and safety pin.He would hide that set up in the weeds and skip school to go fishing.

Love the Ozark rig!! Love the Hover rig and the TUSH... Matt and Johnny is knocking the new tools out the park!! Cannot wait for their swim jig!!!
They are doing a good job for sure!
Love it Thank you! Butiful!

Great video! Hope you and the family is doing well
Glad you enjoyed it. The family is doing good. Rylee has been handling her latest round of chemo very well.
Glad to hear it!@@SonarFishing

It definitely looks better hooked through the top. Would you like me to do a video on the HerculeZ?
@@SonarFishing yes
I’ve been whatching Matt for a while. Picked em up as soon as they came out. Such a great bait!
Yes I love the Ozark Rig, my new Favorite!!🎣
It’s pretty sweet! Thanks for watching

Excellent video on the ZMan plastics. Please show more as your time permits.
Great catches!! Have to try the Ozark rig!!

I hope the stars align for you and you end up picking a few up!
I have been using the Core Tackle products and love them. Enjoyed the video be safe and prayers for your family.
Thank you!

I'm definitely going to give them a try. None of the shops in town have em so I had to order some online.
Yeah, they are hard to find at the brick and mortar stores so far. Should be able to get some online!
Born & raised in Little Rock! ✊
Nice to see some of my old stomping grounds (waters?🤔) again! Moved to Nashville in '08.
Full of wood? Lake Conway?
It’s a great area. I’ve been fishing some small lakes in the area, but none of them are Conway. Ill have to check that one out!
thats badass

I’m a giggler too when I catch and land 7’s 😮😂😂 so good to see you on the water, and I wish Memphis/ Arkansas was closer 😜

Love the vid, new to your channel.
Only one question, who are you?
Thanks for that tip if I hadn’t seen this would have never thought to use a stick bait and I slayed them all day

Curious as to if these may not be able to be used, in the few "Lead-Free" states.

It’s definitely not as streamlined as a Texas rig, but what meant was that it protects the hook as well as a Texas Rig. Thanks for watching.
You definitely got into those “Belly Dancers” 😂 just full of eggs😮👏👏👏👏👏👏
Is it just a lift and reel retrieve?
I would say it is more of a lift, let it fall, then reel in the slack retrieve. But yes, I would say it is similar to how I fish a wacky rig!
@@SonarFishingawesome, thanks! Were you throwing the 1/8 or 3/16?
I wish you hadn't shared this...trying to keep Jonny's rig off the radar.

That’s a fact! If you’ve got money on the line that’s one thing, but if you just want to catch fish, there’s something to keeping things simple!
@@SonarFishing Thats the truth, a sure fire way to take the fun out of anything is to involve money. Nice to see you out on the water enjoying yourself. Hang in there my friend.
The secret is out. Fortunately for me other fishermen I know still think the Ozark rig is just a gimmick. Lucky for me…😁
Lucky for both of us!
Its not new at all. Its sad fishing has to rebrand old techniques literally every year
