Matt I’m not differentiating from you ozark rigging the Cameron but I believe keitech designed the bait to be rigged with the hook eye towards the tentacles thus the plastic wedge near the tentacles helps deflect snags on the hook’s right angle bend and it glides backwards rigged weightless. Keitech puts the plastic wedge on some of their other baits like the crazy flapper. But you rigging it backwards with the ozark just enables the bait to glide more while being weighted. Good job!!!
Matt, Great video. Off topic: I was wondering if you have any cost saving tips for bass fishing? I have a few to share: 1. I repair my soft plastics with a small butane torch (pencil flame) and a spreader/clamp made from a paper clip (straighten clip, bend into a u shape, then bend the two ends outwards). Use the spreader to open up the tear, heat the plastic and clamp or hold for a few seconds. 2. Make chatterbait from old spinnerbait: Cut spinnerbait at the R bend, bend an eye as close to the head as possible, insert blade (jig dancer blade from Lure Parts Online) in eye, twist wire around the main wire to finish the eye, cut remaining wire off.
For soft plastics repair, you can use an old cheap soldering iron. You can get a blade type tip or make one pretty simply to give it a flat surface to cut or weld old plastics
That's awesome! I've been looking at those baits 4 2 months. but hadn't pulled the trigger as I couldn't figure out how I'd use them. Other than flipping. And I don't need another flipping bait. So thanks to you and who suggested it. I'm excited now.
I agree with Ray's comment below that the rigging of the Cameron was meant to be reversed of how you fished it. That said it can be fished either way , ... but glides further away from you under docks when rigged opposite of your presentation. I am looking forward to using it since Jackall discontinued the Cover Claw which did glide exceptionally well under docks, laydowns etc. It was more forgiving for those of us who are not consistent skippers. TYVM for your videos, advice and observations. Excellent !!!
This really looks interesting. I was worried that the bass won't see the colour in the stained water but yet it worked very well. I found the comments also intefesting and will want to try both methods as soon as we can buy this bait in South Africa.
I know I've mentioned it before. But the 6th sense panorama works great on the Ozark rig. 5" with the ¾ and the 3.5" on the 3/16 oz you used in this video
Also Keitech web site does a great job showing all the different ways to fish thier lures with pictures and rig names. So if you look up the Glide Camaron on thier web site they show you how to rig it as a Forward back slide...Now they will need to add the Ozark Rig by Matt👍👍
As a cool matter of timing, those Glide Cameron's are part of Tackle Warehouse's current Buy More! Save More! promotion. Great time to grab some and use Matt's affiliate link.
Similar to older Jackall cover craw or kind of like the Yamamoto fat ika- solid tube-ish design. Neat baits for a lot of variety! I’m impressed by how many fish you caught.
It’s exciting to see how excited you are about this bait, and I saw them when they were first released, but the pictures didn’t really do it justice and looked much thinner. I keep shouting Core Tackle has produced some amazing simple yet perfect for some of the new plastics coming out 👍👏👏👏👏👏👍🍀🎣🍀 now try and keep it a secret 😂😂😂🎣
Since you like lure suggestions I will suggest you check out Salt Strong's soft plastics. They make stuff for the saltwater but they will definitely catch bass. The "2.0 swim bait" has caught over 100 species. But I think you would like the Mulligan 4 and 5" paddle tails. They look great on your TUSH or Hover Rigs and they have dimples like a golf ball so they cast farther. I think it works to get a few more feet on a long cast. And they look great swimming on a jig head. I told the Salt Strong guys to check out your rigs because I think they should sell TUSH and Hover Rigs at least, I haven't tried the Ozark rig yet (next order for sure). I hope they get ahold of you. Matt from Salt Strong said he would check them out. Another suggestion is the Z Man Trout Trick for a bass worm. I just think bass would like it and that soft plastic is tough. The Snakelocks hooks or Z Man Texas Eye weedless hooks are great with the Trout Trick for around structure and snags. I like how Z Man plastic wants to float.
Thank you for your videos, very helpful. The Zman Gremlin on the Ozark rig has been working well for me. Fairly flat (good gliding) and that Zman plastic holds up great on the Ozark.
There’s some baits somebody designed that just plain work. Always will. Than every other brand wants to get in the action copy and try make money. That being said Too save money 💰 just stick with the tried and true. They catch fish. They always will.

Yes it’s designed for weedless backsliding
Interesting

Great video suggestion
Thanks Matt so much for telling the size bait used and the hook size and weight of the Ozark rig. That takes the guess work out of the equation.
You bet

10:19 I have never seen a fishier laydown 😂
haha
That thing works about like those old flying lures I started using again. I like how you can texas rig it 😏
I move awesome
Those Striker hoodies are sweet. Got a few on sale at Farm & Fleet.
Yes they are
That seems to be a hot combination 👍
it is !
Have you tried the game changer tadpole on ozark rig pretty cool looking
Nope
It's actually called gamechanger lure Eeliminator

Great video!! Looks like am awesome fish catcher for sure!!! Stay Safe & God Bless!!! 🤠👍
Thanks! You too!
Nice bait! Check out the Charlie Brewer 4" Slider Worm, it's a great glide bait too!
Thanks! Will do!
Great video. I’ll have to try it as an alternative to the poop baits. …. I think it’s a backslide bait ??
Give it a try
So you took a new bait and fished it a new way and it worked...I think Keitech owes you one🤣
haha
Another great video, Matt! You cost me some more money! 😂
Sorry!
It reminds me of a Pit Boss!!
Ikinda but much more finessey
So, I had decided not to buy any new lures until after the first of next year…. Thanks Matt, just thanks.
haha
Great they renamed the jackall cover craw lol
I haven’t used it
@@MattStefanFishing their sakatuki craw is really good also
Would that work on a weighted screw lock hook?
potentially but i didnt try that
Hey Matt. Have you tried the Biffle Bug on the Ozark rig?
I haven’t but like the idea
How's the durability? Assuming not the greatest being it's a Keitech/having so much salt in it?
They are soft
That's 1 good thing about the Internet! So many baits from all over the country! I got so much stuff !!! I dont know what I got
Agreed
Great bait Matt I like how it looks like a crayfish. That's a bait that I want to throw out there. Will be looking into those for sure thanks man 👍🏻
It moves just like a crayfish
Lmao...a tube on crack...i love it
Haha
Looks like a cover scat with claws
kinda but more narrow
Thank you for your videos, very helpful. The Zman Gremlin on the Ozark rig has been working well for me. Fairly flat (good gliding) and that Zman plastic holds up great on the Ozark.
ill give it a try!
Pretty cool, but I think it's 90% the rigging style.
Definitely helps but the bait is perfect for it too

thanks for watching
👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks for watching
A tube on crack. 🤣
it is!
Is this Keitech's version of poop bait?
Haha
Oh crap...i want a core tackle sun shirt...you guys selling them yet?
Not yet
It also is a great back slide bait. Hook in opposite direction
I bet
Which Core tackle rig would you use on a 4 inch tube?
Get the 4/0 tush for a 4" tibe
4/0 tush in various weights
It reminds me of Yamamoto Fat Ika. How’s it compare to those?
Kinda
