I saw this movie as a kid without any knowledge of the title or recollection of the plot. All I could remember for YEARS is that damn Cincinnati song.
It IS really catchy.
It really was catchy and I remember my grandma and I watch this movie and I kinda enjoy it and sure this movie is not everyone’s cup of tea but it’s nostalgic for me because I watch this with my grandma before she passed away in 2007 and I was 7 years old at the time!

Funny thing here is that these are all foods associated with CHINESE food, and with Pat Morita being Japanese kinda seems pretty racist at first blush. But, in the end, this food Americans call "Chinese food" was actually mostly created by a Japanese-American during the internment of World War 2, so I guess I have to give the NC some good props for his knowledge of General Tso's history.

Despite it being bad, I really like most of the actors. It really looks like they're trying hard with these performances, and they play their parts well, despite not being written as well.

I remember watching this movie in my music class when I was in 3rd or 4th grade, and I hated it. EVERY SINGLE SECOND OF IT. The only thing that made it bearable for me was that the boy I had a crush on at the time was sitting next to me and hated it too. We passed the entire class periods watching it by making fun of it with each other the whole time.
That Mario Kart music fit that stupid miniature car chase scene so perfectly.

Compared to the Disney one, I gotta handle this version for Barnaby's costume design. The use of feathers does work to make him look like a raven or a vulture, while Disney went with a more classic outfit, this one gave whatever tiny budjet it had on Barnaby.
