cool thing about shading is that it translates universally across all sorts of plattforms, even though in some particular plattforms things will look better then in others
This may not be a particularly relevant question, but I was playing around with this and tried to adjust the lifetime parameter of the life comp. I found that when I adjusted this value, additional particles would appear in batches with a short delay, instead of the essentially continuous manner. Do you have any clues as to why that might happen?
This dosent work, my particles are dissapearing after like 4 seconds, i followed the life component tutorial but its not working like yours, also whats the input for if we are using 2 contents ?
@@santiagoespinoza5265 got same problem, try to set "life" setting to something near 7 or less if "multiply" of math1 inside the life component is set to 1, they are somehow connected, the bigger number in multiply of math1 inside life - the bigger number of life setting needs to make particles disappear or something like that
Hi! Great Tutorial! Although, i don't get a tube after using 'pos' as Translate OP and setting the Translate axis as shown in the video... any idea? Thanks
Yes-ish, if you use import to OBJ to TD - sprinkle SOP (the amt of particles you want, maybe 720**2) - sop to chop - chop top top. You can get the OBJ as a point cloud. And use the same system. But the spherical shape (normalization step) won’t really work.
Couldnt get the correct result again. Can it be cause of my version of the TD? Its 2023.11600. My sphere is starts like yours but its all vanishing except a line of ellipse after seconds. Also i cant give colors as well. When i put colors to the geo node, its become completely black. Got only white without any "shadowlike" faded results. What do you think about it?
I'm having a similar problem, but i get the sphere effect with one "very defined" ellipse. Just one line going around the sphere, the rest looks amazing. If someone has the answer to this please help!

@kasiapieciukonis7763 it does work perfectly fine without it And as I said in the tutorial, I show you how to make the second output it in the “flow fields” tutorial. For free.
it does work here without any issues. If you want the seconds output, the life-gradient (which just applies to the color of the particles) you can either find it on my patreon, or learn how to make it in the Flow Field tutorial. I try to mot gatekeep these things.
