life component
• Custom Interactive 3d ...
!!! if you are using the old component from the video above, you need to multiply the input (start-null) with the output from the life-comp before plugging it into the over TOP !!!

dude using paketa's trick in 3d was a genius move, definitely feels like magic. nicely done.
Love and thanks for your amazing works !
wow... simply beautiful
great tutorial as all ways, thanks!
thanks for sharing
this is beautiful!
This is so beautiful thank you
thank you! great tut
Incredible
bless you for making this tutorial pls keep up
wow amazing tricks learned from channel and inspired a lot from the energy, just amazing
Love it!!
great work!!!
Aamazing as always
beautiful
cool thing about shading is that it translates universally across all sorts of plattforms, even though in some particular plattforms things will look better then in others
thanks u so much
谢谢您的教程
Hmm at 2:50 my choptop1 is only 32x32 pixels. I rewatched the tutorial and I have followed the steps you showed.
you are Joseph Kosinski in touchdesigner world
thanks for great tutorial! I just wonder if I can't find 'derivative(slope)' in noise1 componant, would there be any other way to make it look similar?
Unless you’re pretty comfortable with glsl there isn’t.
But download the 2023 TD build, it’s free
i love you
can u add a arduino input and make the sphere move using ultrasonic sensor?
thanx for another brilliant composition! sadly I don't get the sphere effect with the math, checked all the parameters, could it be I m using TD 2022?
Should work without 2022, how is it looking for you?
Excuse me. i import life, but the custom bar is not visible.
Pleas understand if the words are strange. I am a Korean. I wants to learn touch designer.
may I ask what's the BGM? this is beautiful.
It’s mine. I haven’t released this track anywhere though. But I’ve put my bandcamp in the description.
Hi! Great Tutorial! Although, i don't get a tube after using 'pos' as Translate OP and setting the Translate axis as shown in the video... any idea? Thanks
@supermarketsallad I have the same problem
Unfortunately, this is way to little information for me to help you. You probably did something wrong somewhere.
Can you describe the issue more?
@@supermarketsallad you both probably didn't turn "add points" on in the Add SOP before the convert SOP.
@@fenroot9914 yes!! you are fk genious! I came across the same question! How did you know bout that?
@@natkkkk it happens very quickly in the tutorial, easy to miss
do you think i could make this interactive using a sensor?
Yeah of course!
yummy sallad
what is ''life'' and how can i found ?
Hey! The Life COMP you're using in this tutorial has two outputs, but the one you created in the original tutorial only has one. Do we need to add anything to make this work correctly?
Not really, the upper output is just a color gradient, I make it in the flow-fields tutorial, but it will work perfectly fine without it
Oh! I see there's a new one in the Patreon. It might be good to point out that the original life component *does not work* here.
Yeah, I was about to write exactly the same thing. I was surprised that there are two outputs and it didn't work.
It would be good to say at the beginning that the project will not work without paid content from Patreon..
@kasiapieciukonis7763 it does work perfectly fine without it
And as I said in the tutorial, I show you how to make the second output it in the “flow fields” tutorial. For free.
it does work here without any issues. If you want the seconds output, the life-gradient (which just applies to the color of the particles) you can either find it on my patreon, or learn how to make it in the Flow Field tutorial. I try to mot gatekeep these things.
Something wrong happend when i tried to make it into a sephere by changing the operation of composite to "devide"🥲the screen turned empty, but other modes still works.Could u plz tell me the solution? Thanks
Couldnt get the correct result again. Can it be cause of my version of the TD? Its 2023.11600. My sphere is starts like yours but its all vanishing except a line of ellipse after seconds. Also i cant give colors as well. When i put colors to the geo node, its become completely black. Got only white without any "shadowlike" faded results. What do you think about it?
I'm having a similar problem, but i get the sphere effect with one "very defined" ellipse. Just one line going around the sphere, the rest looks amazing. If someone has the answer to this please help!
I'm getting an error on the life component "error: (parameter: reset) TypeError: 'NoneType' object is not subscriptable (/project1/life)
How do I fix this?
When I open the explodingStar.1 tox the life component seems to be working just fine
Hi there, what is the "'life component'" how do we get it?
ua-cam.com/video/ba9Mib2Foh4/v-deo.html
Keep in mind that the output in the life-fade here is monochrome, so you might want to change it to 32 bit float rgba. or you'll find it on my patreon
is someone else stuck in the part at 06:00 mine looks very messy, is that something that has to do with math? is not as clean as the animation of your tutorial. Please help thank you!
which OP is for setting the lifespan of the particles? Idk what I did wrong, but my particles fade away after 10 seconds or something.
I might have made a mistake in the life component, because increasing the lifetime doesnt really change anything
@@user-yp2yh2gj8w i wasn’t too clear about this in the video, but if you are using the old life component, remember to add a multiply TOP, and plug in the output from the life comp and the “start” null. Before putting it into the over top.
@@supermarketsallad Thanks so much for the help and the incredible tutorials!
4:59 Where can I find "life" in TouchDesigner ? Thanks !
In the 3D particle system tutorial ua-cam.com/video/NuIShUTg3nI/v-deo.htmlsi=wzP-V_TKKM02TGUw
Have you found the answer?
@@user-np2cz1yq1p Not yet😅
I tell you in the tutorial, it is in the video description. It’s a custom component. You can build it by following my tutorial, or you can find it on my Patreon.
How could I change the shape from a sphere to a specific object like a cross?
Hmm.. I don’t know
my particles are all over the place, does someone know how to fix this? thank you!
Hello, I am a designer from China and I really like your TD art. Is there any way to obtain your life components!!!
I show you how to make it here
ua-cam.com/video/ba9Mib2Foh4/v-deo.html
@@supermarketsallad Hello, after building your new life component, I saved the base file in tox. format. However, when I dragged it into this tutorial, it displayed an unavailable red "X", which is not as smooth as in your video. Can you guess roughly what the reason is (I also tried the old "life", but it still doesn't work)? Should I delete some things from the base of the life component
@@supermarketsallad Oh, I've noticed, maybe it's because I didn't open reset, thank you!!
Thank you so much for this tutorial! the only issue I have is that the whole thing doesn't loop :( guess I missed something
Hello! It doesn’t loop.
Making things loop in touchdesigner is pretty tricky.
But there are some great tutorials for example “looping noise” by polyhop
@@supermarketsallad Maybe looping is the wrong word for it. The particles just stop moving after some time and stay in one line
@@DaniiMarvelous if you are using the old life component, make sure that
(Before the over TOP) add a multiply TOP and multiply the output of the life comp with the same node you are plugging in to the life comp.
And then put that multiply into the first input of the over TOP
I wasn’t clear about this in the video, sorry
@@supermarketsallad That worked! Thank you sooooo much
look like sun surface
IT SHOW AT FIRST BUT DISAPPEAR A FEW SECONDS LATER
Using your life 2.0 component, the noise looks like the video when i have the monochrome off but when i turn it on, and i turn on derivative slope, the noise changes into just like lines with some particles moving, a lot less than in the video. I made sure I changed the noise to Perlin 3D and retraced my steps a bunch. Not sure where Im going wrong. I think it may be because Im on the latest 2023.11600 build because my parameters are lined up with yours
Hmm.. I’m not sure..
The sloped noise is pretty, but sometimes a little difficult to work with.
Maybe try attenuating the noise - lowering the amplitude
WHY MY GRAPHIC DISAPPEARD?? I FOLLOW THE LIFE FCOMPONENT STEP AND TRY TO CREATE IT HELPPPPP
Hello
If you use the old life comp, You need to add a multiply top after the life component and multiply the output with the same node you use as input before the life comp. Before the over top.
I wasn’t too clear about this, and thought it was clear, but it obviously wasn’t. sorry.
Excuse me, where can i find life components🥲
