The one thing I have noticed fom watching a lot of these vlogs is that the traffic control utes seem to feature a lot. They expect a driver to obey the signs they put out but they don't give a shit about how they drive themselves!
That could be confirmation bias. It is likely that traffic control utes breaking the rules will be noticed more. Victorians had a hate affair with Volvo drivers, then it was Audis and now it's utes but people make mistakes in all sorts of vehicles and we notice more the ones that fit our internal narrative - whether it's our own narrative or someone-else's narrative we've adopted.
@@Mercurio-Morat-Goes-Bughunting I appreciate you pointing out the potential for this but like the others, I very much notice this as well. I'm shocked at the disregard for 'the rules' via the 'traffic control' vehicles.

You've certainly brought home the chocolates with this latest volume of worst of ute drivers Scotty. Plus, it's the law to give way to pedestrians waiting to cross
HI to clarify that for you , thats not a pedestrian crossing it’s a speed bump where pedestrians can cross , for vehicle to have to stop for them it needs to have the white stripe line on it , they also would need to be on the white strip for vehicles to have to give way , so all ok for that clip :)
@@ScottsCarcameras That's called a wombat crossing. It's also has a children crossing sign and it's flagged meaning it was currently operating as childrens crossing, so DC (and the car before them) 100% were meant to give way.
Hi Lexus no that’s incorrect. This can get a bit confusing with the different crossing signs so I will clarify for you, So this is not a wombat crossing. This is what’s called a mid block crossing , so a pedestrian or zebra crossing is crossing that has the white strip lines going across it and a wombat crossing is simply a pedestrian crossing that is raised to the same level as the footpath to allow easier access so in the clip in the video as is obviously seen there are no white strip lines it is not therefore a pedestrian or zebra crossing and not a wombat crossing. Furthermore it is not a children’s Crossing again in order to be a children’s Crossing. It has to have additional elements. White stop lines marked the both sides and will also need children’s crossing flags at both sides. And other items as well this is all per Australian standard 1742.10. This is also covered under the road rules act regulations 81 and 80 so simply what you have in the video is where they have put a speed bump in and additionally made it a mid block crossing to assist pedestrians Crossing the road between the car park and the other side but however as you note in the video the person on the scooter who is going to use it to cross is obviously aware that they have to wait for the traffic to pass as it is not a children of pedestrian crossing and therefore traffic does not have to give away hence why the dash cam driver drove through and the pedestrian on the scooter waited for traffic to clear ,before they crossed , glad to have cleared up for you thanks for watching have a good one.
