Something that sounds like crunchy techno, created just with two mixers. The Behringer 1604a acts as a drum machine and the Soundcraft F1 is on the bass/tones.
A rave of time travellers in the 1970s live broadcast over AM recorded with bad reception on 8 track tape that got a bit moldy over time and was rediscovered just now. Fantastic.
love it 😆I need you writing my promo text/youtube descriptions/etc 😄
Many ear drums were lost to bring us this music.

@@xxx7917 I bought the album.
Sorry let me put my hearing aid in and say that again
😄
@@closedcircuits What???
And many mixers as well 😂
this is honestly the most musically-satisfying and interestingly-performed/arranged NIM i've heard to date. Inspiring.
first time I've seen this technique used with such rythmic / cyclical results, love it!
Yeah! I've been playing around with no input for years and this just blew my mind!
That's curious because a feedback loop is inherently a cycle
@@fangettes yea but on a very small timescale. I think what they mean is cyclical on a larger timescale, like on the scale that we actually perceive rhythm instead of just pitch
yes this feels sequenced, but apparently is not???
The most musical no input example I’ve heard yet. Great work!
Same for me. It was also the only one I've ever heard.
the word "sick" in the dictionary is just a qr code to this video
This is what Lv.100 Noise Music sounds like
You even got one of the tones to sound like an 808 cowbell. Well fucking done.
Hey hey, love the thump n crunch of this! Sounds like a day when the dishwasher is on, it's raining and the neighbour is doing laundry, and your own brain is making weird noise. Good job!
Not only is the proces super interesting , the resulting music is genuenly cool AF
Make way Hainbach... this freakin guy! This is amazing! I had to ask myself "is he cheating?" so many times but clearly this is the real deal. Fantastic job. I love that tiny tb-like square "boop" sound.
this is really good. usually when I see these no-input demos people use very cheap mixers
this is the live set of all time
This is a master at work!!!
I have so much to learn still
learning is endless!
I've just recently learned about no-input mixing and I loved the concept from the start, but this is by far the most interesting creation I've seen so far using this technique, and quite likely the one that's going to make me actually go on and try it myself. Great job!
this is a higly skilled electronics overloading technique
my cat was purring to the sounds, and the purrs layed perfectly to the music. you would've made a great duet!
That was bloody great!
this is genuinely cool!
awesome tune and really cool technique dude!
This is crazy!! AMAZING iob, really mindblowing
bro this has me so in my bag . sounds nuts on headphones
Honestly, with how noisy this mix is, it almost reminds me of the deconstructed club of doon kanda or the noise club of dreamcrusher- great job!!
I got a heart 3 years late just from the mention of deconstructed club?? OMG I feel blesssed
DREAMCRUSHER MENTIONED
@@romi9485 I LOVE DREAMCRUSHER DUDE
@@romi9485 i started making noise club inspired by them!!! mine’s a lot more mellow tho, and its also influenced by the ambiance of idm
@@rainbowkittycat627 HELL YEAH MATE DREAMCRUSHER LOVE CLUB
i knew i shudda held on to my old soundcraft. verrry cool!
you could easily sample mad bits here and make an absolutely blistering techno machine, gritty grit grit!
Found this gem after hours of watching no input videos then realised its only Mr Knight. The man who got me into no input.
Hey RAIR! I'm honoured to know that I got you into no-input. Hope you're well, drop me a line some time, q at 1bpm dot net
omg the tones on this one are epic
Incredibly compelling. This is not easy by any stretch of the imagination.
bravo!!!
This is a gem. Really well done dude. 🙌
Geez! S-Tier precision. This is fantastic! 👏👏👏
God damn, this is exceptional. I thought I knew what I was doing with this technique but clearly I have some things to learn, thank you 😁
This is the music of the future
Jaw dropping brilliance. Thanks for this inspiring piece.
No input but alive! great execution ;)
Wow. Just fucking wow dude this is incredible
Very impressive, reminds me of something of Mika Vainio (RIP)
Amazing ! Love these textures. Reminds me of Actress
came to comment this!
"yeah I play a eurorack"
i just discovered this genre and started looking at other videos of no input and i gotta say, you set the bar to high, its not fair to the other artists ive just checked out hahahaa well done friend
Isn't it just the techno as it is - dealing with processes, as opposite to writing sequences of separate facts? Processes of any kind. What is accessible and convenient, that is to use.
So that the idea "to WRITE techno track" is profanation. Perversion of.
And... the INSTRUMENT is not the "genre". The pencil is not the book written by pencil.
@@scidelic4526 oh ok ty
Like listening directly into the abyss
Embrace the nihilism
@@closedcircuits There's nothing in there and it FREAKING SLAPS
@@closedcircuits put this on spotify with that title for real. Great stuff.
this is magical
Holy shit dude thats some amazing feed back control
finally some real goddamn techno around here
Really really cool. I do a lot of no-input, and your mastery on the rythm part is inspiring !
Great stuff! Excellent control and restraint.
I liked this a lot. 👍🏻
other people's ASMR : girls whispering on microphones
my ASMR :
nice groove!
more please!!!! this is so great
This is really cool actually!
this is so good, it deserves a spot in the next Fantasia remake.
Wow, just wow ! This is insane ! You're incredible dude !!!!!
amazing, great groove 👍
GREAT! I love the way you use those mixers, very cool sounds!
This is stupidly impressive
Omg, throwing some breakbeats over this would sound legit.
Looks like I need to get ahold of two mixers now….
fascinating AND groovy !
This is absolutely incredible! I'd honestly be too scared of causing something to explode by trying this! 😂
it does have potential to fry things. Put a limiter between the mix and speakers.. fair warning.
i love this, been listening to it on loop since finding it yesterday. great work!
I bow down master . I've never seen no input used in such a rhythmic way , usually drones and noise
You're an honest to god wizard. My mind is blown!
This is beyond amazing
you can do it with every mixer, - here s the simple instruction:
take an chinchkabel from the headphone output to one input of your mixer and surprise: you can move every knob or fader to make sounds with no input ;)
man this is dope AF. Nice work.
Just brilliant !
I adore this..
Got that lo-fi hip hop vibe to it..
Really cool and way to push the boundaries of music composition..
what are u talking about lofi hiphop vibe
@@pipebombmailer22 the swing, shuffle, groove - that neck breaking snappy rhythm
@@pipebombmailer22 You could be spitting rhymes on top, no probs
damn this is incridible! good work !
Using the mixers as a modular synth... Cool
This is top notch. Well done
I LOVE THIS!
KMFDM + Death Grips = this
great dub in the end
This owns, thanks UA-cam reccs!
Really nice sounds!
It took me a couple seconds to realise what u were actually doing 😆
Impressive. How curious.
so sick!
I was fully convinced this was in 7 until I was sure it wasn't
Gut!
Sounds more like some noise-hip-hop thing rather than maybe techno. Regardless, cool as fuck. I just heard of using mixers to produce sound, and about a week later I've run into this. Awesome stuff!
it's got that swing
I'm really intrigued on how you achieved the drum pattern, any chance of a tutorial?
Just a feed back loop fom aux out into channel one. Be careful with the volume so you don't harm your ears but using the EQ and gain you can make some interesting stuff.
Just buy a second hand mixer and a few patch leads the build up from there aux 1 to line 1, aux 2 to line 2 and so on, then bring in the fx on the mixer or use guitar pedels like delay chorus, flangers .
@@b00ts4ndc4tsI don’t quite understand how rhythm comes out of that
@@gorkulus do a search here on UA-cam about delay feedback loops and I sure you will find a tutorial.
best one ive seen!!
This is some impressive stuff man!!!
Very good.. best I've heard so far.
Getting Speedy J vibes (Shocking Hobby, Public Energy no.1)
Cool idea and nice sounds!
4:23 sounds so cool!!
This is gold man
incredible
i love this a lot! i would so appreciate some sort of tutorial for developing more rhythmic sounds using no-input if you ever have the time. either way thanks for the sounds xx
Thanks! Planning it soon. Not all mixers are capable of it like this, but the cheaper the more weird results from what I've experienced..
@@closedcircuits Yeah as far as distinct sounds go, in the past I've used fx from my sp 404 combined w/ more "pure" tones to make sort of unstable wavetable-like sounds, and rhythmically, have also been able to get sort of stable bleeps and blip style idm patterns. (also have been lucky to open for Toshi!)
i have a small Behringer xenyx 802 and a large older Mackie as well, interested to see what unique rhythmic results i can get between those and a few fx.
@@ceemain Nice, sounds good, do share the results if you come across anything interesting.. Intrigued by any the feedback capabilities of any new mixers. Quite an honour to play on the same bill as Toshi!
wooahhh this is awesome!
I cant think of any other no input video where tempo was wrangled as it has been here.
Amazing. You probably spent lots of time exploring that setup!
Awesome!
Good job🔥
I feel like I'm listening to the signal in CONTACT
We have been waiting for this video for too long ;)
amazing
Another master piece!!
Banger!
Impressive!
