Yes - the Behringer 1604a (on the right) goes into the Soundcraft F1 (left). 1604a is good for the rhythm/pulse type bits, and then can modulate other cleaner/'melodic' feedback going on in the F1

The pulse on this is fundamentally just one channel - channel 2 on the Behringer 1604a fed into itself via aux send 2 (pre-fade) - with the gain up max, send up max, fader up max, bass up max, then high and mid down to min, and low cut turned off. That's pretty simple to set up and results in a steady click. Then the trickier bits are getting that to sound more interesting - by feeding that pulse into other channels - and feeding some of those back into the pulse/click channel - which inevitably can destabilise the rhythm a bit. So, not tricky to get it basically up and running, but tricky to then integrate that with other channels to make something that sounds interesting and more like 'music'..

Thank you! The Behringer 1604a is very good at low tempo stuff. Basically try and feed back one channel with the high/mid eq turned right down, bass turned right up, and the gains quite far up. Not sure of the eq/aux capabilities on those mixers, but you could also try feeding channel 1 into 2 and then 2 back into 1, and use a similar eq setting to maximise the bass in the feedback loop. Failing that it's possible to get some rhythmic effects with difference tones, so where there are two separate channels creating very similar tones through feedback, then both fed into another channel, the difference can be accentuated (eg if one tone is 440hz, the other is 445hz, then it can pulse at 5hz).. but mostly, keep experimenting, all mixers are a bit different in what they can produce with feedback!

Thank you! Making a sample library sounds like a good idea.. I will try and get round to it. In the meantime though do please feel free to sample away with any of the videos and tracks and do what you like with them, just credit where you got the source sounds from if anything is noticeable! 😄

Basically it's just low frequency feedback! Feedback loops with bass accentuation result in pulsing on the Behringer 1604a, which can then be fed into other channels..
