- Prince William has left his wife Princess Catherine beaming with pride as the heir to the British throne gave a touching address to his father King Charles III at the coronation concert on Sunday.

Yes, I obviously have watched him grow up, and so yes, I adore him, and I absolutely adore Princess Catherine, and their children, with both Prince George and Princess Charlotte being little Mini-Me's of their parents, lol, and Prince Louie is simply adorable, such a lovely family. Also, both I and my daughter share our birthdays with both Princess Catherine & Prince George, only we are both other than them, just born on the same days!

In the case of the coronation, 10s or 100s of millions of people are watching and even the most experienced in those situations would feel the pressure for perfection. There's also tradition of the ceremony. For all you know, he may have known the lines but tradition dictates the way things are done.
I liked how he didn't speak like an entertainer or politician who pauses whenever there is applause. He just kept speaking which made him sound more eloquent and less fake.

I live in America where politicians are too busy being famous instead of doing what is best for the country or best for any one. That is what i always say when people many of them outsiders talk about this monarchy. Those who like them always say they bring continuity, stability; they do the work that politicians only do when they want your vote. They are the celebrities that America have except understated and keeps going and going. Doing the tedious jobs of highlighting and lending their names to organizations and bring in much needed funds. People think if you take all their $ and properties away and give back to people who do they think will hold the purse but the same politicians who can’t stop bickering. @@Always_ThinkingYes I did. If some of us ordinary folk can cry when the Queen passed away who have only seen her on TV or at a distance, imagine what it's like for the Queen's family who were close to her and saw and did a lot with the Queen.
I actually feel the law should be changed that a reigning monarch should totally retire and abdicate by between 68 to max 75 years of age depending on physical or mental health.
This way it makes it fairer that the retired monarch is able to enjoy seeing their son or daughter become King or Queen and the son or daughter is able to to be crowned under happier circumstances.
Plus the retired monarch can enjoy the grandkids more as well as still be able to assist at times advising and easing the new King or Queen into their roles.
It also helps to keep the monarchy more up to date with changing times, as the new King or Queen would be younger, like between 40 to 45 when taking the throne with some modern ideas, whilst still maintaining certain ancient rituals.

As a kiwi, I feel the same about the Commonwealth, and having the Monarch as our head of state. There's a lot of anti-monarchy stuff going around down here (and I'm sure in Canada too) and around being completely independent, and I feel sad that it's likely only a matter of time before NZ no longer has a constitutional monarch. But I think they do a lot of good - when we had the Christchurch Earthquakes, and then the Mosque attacks, the Royal Family made unique visits down here. With the Mosque tragedy, Prince William made time in his schedule short-notice to come here and visit with the victim's families and survivors. It seemed to do a lot of good in helping the city when we were going through our darkest days. And just a few months ago, Princess Anne was back in Christchurch for a special service for a war memorial that was damaged in the Earthquake (it was finally being restored to its original place in front of the Cathedral). It just seems to make such events that much more special when a member of the Royal family comes all the way down here to be present.

@@ryouready1978 I know! I love it! I’m so glad to witness this event! Hope I’m alive for Prince William’s coronation and able to go to London again! I follow the history of England since before it was England! Love the Order of The Garter robe! To think William The Conqueror was the first to be crowned in 1066 at Westminster! So glad I checked visiting Westminster Abbey off my bucket list! I booked our flight to London and a few days later The Queen passed away. So sad. It’s still sad even though she had a long extraordinary life.
The king loves both his sons. When William kissed his father at the coronation his father then in turn said thank you William with great sadness on his face I couldn't help think he had a moment to reflect on harry also. I do hope and pray there's room for healing of relationships between harry and his family. The way things turned out is just so sad for all parties involved, Family is so important. GOD bless the king and Queen may their reign be long and prosperous.
