- It's the holidays and while I've been extra busy unpacking and being a mom I've made some time to decorate a little for the holidays. In this video I'll give you a small house update, show you how I've unpacked a couple of the rooms and decorated for Christmas. I love old homes and yours is gorgeous! That antique buffet is beautiful. I definitely don't think you should paint it. Those French doors are so wonderful. I hope you are planning to leave all of the natural wood unpainted. Can't wait to see each room come to new life. Miles was so adorable using the squeegee to clean the glass in the door! And Miss Isla is a little cutie bug! ❤
Carol my in laws convinced me to shine the buffet up and hold back on painting it! I think I'm going to take their advice. I can always paint it one day down the road if I decide. No need to rush. And yes, all the wood in the house will stay. Isn't it lovely?

Hi Megan!! Love the new house. Sorry I've been so preoccupied with dealing with insurance adjusters and contractors after hurricane Ida that I missed a lot of my favorite creators on YT. I'm trying to catch up on the ones I've missed. We are in a rental until our house is repaired so I will be starting over with all appliances, decor and furniture in about 5 or 6 more months. I'm definitely looking forward to your future upgrades for ideas! Thanks for the tour. Miss Isla is adorable and Miles is growing like a weed.❤️

Love old homes and this one looks like a beauty !! Just curious as to why you decided to switch the dining room and living room.
Is the old living room with the shelves a larger room ? Love those shelves by the way. You've got a lot of fun decorating projects ahead of you and I will be looking forward to seeing them. Hey Becky! With the layout of the home (and since older home don't have open concepts,) the previous formal dining room was closest to the kitchen. It made travelling between the living room and kitchen a bit of a journey and with two kids I needed the living room and kitchen to butt up next to each other. So I switched them. We only use the formal dining room on occasion so it made sense to me to switch them. Hope that makes sense! And yes, they grow up so quickly! I am really trying to soak in every moment with them.
