The ENTIRE Dricus Du Plessis and Israel Adesanya BEEF Explained in 7 minutes

  • It’s clear that Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis don’t like each other, but do you know why? Dricus said he wanted to be the first “real” African champion which Israel didn’t like, but 10 years before they had a sparring match where they both disagree on what really happened. All these years later, the drama unfolds as Israel got into the cage at UFC 290 after Dricus Du Plessis won over Robert Whittaker to have an insane post fight interview that would shock the UFC world, but this didn’t happen overnight. This is the full backstory of their beef.

****5:24**** __super messy moment__? How is this super messy?......as an African born in London I can see that ,dricus is mocking the suffering it took to achieve, what the 3 kings achieved......read the history of South Africa........ it's a tough read.......the maltreatment of black people was justified by the idea that we were genetically inferior ,incapable mentally and physically....any achievement by black people is an insult to that ideology.....dricus knows what he is doing ......look at the hateful comments from racist white south Africans; they applaud the genocides+ land theft in the 1800s of the native Americans Africans Australians......

@@angelareele858 What's super messy is the fact that Izzy is drunk, nothing he said referred to the History of South Africa. Which is very dark indeed but one comment like yourselves cannot capture the entirety of it. A land filled with numerous wars and fights for land between many nations and tribes. The history itself is not clear on who was there first and when. Black tribes did not populate the entire African continent and the Bantu migration were not accurately documented. Apartheid was abolished through the help of many British and Dutch Europeans. The majority of the country wanted the regime to end so to label Dricus racist due to a regime that ended the very same year he was born is prejudice. DDP said the terms on what he considers an African Champion and that Izzy and Kamaru does not fit those descriptions. The media and supporters are taking what he said out of proportion. Lastly, Izzy didn't suffer anymore than any other fighter trying to make it big. He grew up in the luxuries of a first world country and definitely did not endure the suffering of the African people under the Apartheid Regime.

I'm South African... Of European descent. My parents were born here... Most of my grandparents were born here and a bunch of my great grandparents were born here. There is a lot of political nonsense in this country about colonization and so on but the reality is... This is my home. The color of my skin doesn't have anything to do with the fact that no matter how much anyone wants to slice it... I'm African. I was born here and will likely die here. I've breathed the air my whole life... Played in the dirt as a kid, eaten the food, drank the water and been part of the culture. Dricus is right... And he, like me and most other non-radicalised South Africans who fall for the nonsense retoric of certain extreme and xenophobic politicians, we get on with each other just fine irrespective of our skin color, culture and language. If anything is what makes our country so amazing... It's diversity.

When Dricus first made reference of being the “real African champ” he was never bringing race into the situation. Rather he was stating how champs like Izzy, Usman etc abandoned Africa once it became convenient for them in advancing their careers. Dricus has simply stated that he is one of the few African-born ufc fighters who currently still lives, breathes, and trains in Africa. Never did dricus say “I’m blacker than you because I live in Africa.” Izzy is the one who has made this whole thing about race and has done so bc deep down he knows Dricus is right. Izzy is very insecure about the whole Africa situation. Izzy’s post-fight comments were embarrassing, but what’s more telling is that now all of a sudden Izzy is trying to claim Africa because he knows he left his people many years ago. It’s unfair that some are trying to paint dricus as a racist bc of this situation. Izzy can call dricus a ‘cracker’ and other names but no one will label him a racist. Izzy is the one who who is race-baiting and adding fuel to the fire.

This is possible because the talent is being cultivated here.

African is not race, that is stupid. We consider Egypt, Morocco, Libya and the other northern Saharan people as African as well, and they are not black. Black does not mean African. And yes, for the most part South Africans consider Afrikaaners as Africans, we have road signs in Afrikaans, schools that teach in Afrikaans and towns and cities named in Afrikaans. The difference between the first European settlement in North America and the one in South Africa is literally 45 years (1607 vs 1652), so to say that Afrikaaners aren't African is then saying that America has no white Americans. And yes, apartheid happened and whatever the personal feelings are towards them doesn't discredit their nationality, it just means that we have racial tensions because of it, no different to when Americans have their own racial tensions due to historical atrocities like with slavery. Afrikaaners are South African. If i as a South African were to close my eyes and listen to an Afrikaaner talk in Afrikaans, or a black African American speak in their English, listening to the Afrikaaner would make me feel more at home, and that's what nationality is. Usman and Izzy, on the other hand, deserve everything DDP said. They left their home country. They left their people. They live, make money, and plant roots in other countries.
Are French people not French because part of their land used to belong to England?
Are Germans not German because many of them descend from when Rome conquered germanic tribes?
Do Cherokee not deserve their reservation land because it originally belonged to various other tribes?
No. This is a racist rule being applied only to white people and it needs to stop. DDP is the best African representation the UFC has seen and the other guys can’t handle that.

People Learn English 101 if you make a statement then the opposite is either implied or true for example if you claim you are the smartest person in the room then you are either implying that everyone else is not as smart or are dumb. I am also a South African and even I know what Dricus says is dumb becasue if you claim you are going to be the "Real" African champion then you implying that everyone else are "Fake" African champions.
Also since when did this rule come from stating just because you reside in a place that makes you more or less of something so my question to people is that, does that rule also apply to other sports. So ALL the Africans footballers that are making millions in Europe and not playing back home in African Leagues does that make them less African or "Fake" African comapred to the footballers that still play in African countries?
So how about Khabib and Islam they both Train out of AKA(in America) so are they not real Russian/Dagestan champions and Amanda Nunes she trained in American Top Team so does that mean she not a true Brazilian Champion. So then Charles Olivera is the only real former Brazilian champion becasue he still stays in Brazil so that means Michael Bisping is not real British champion because he is living in America when he won, Glover Teixeira and Alex Pereira both trained in America when they both won the belt
What about Marivn Vetorri who claims he wants to be the first Italian champion he moved to America 1 or 2 years ago so if he ever wins a belt does that mean he is not the "Real" Italian champion then. Man this "Real' or "Fake" stuff is the same stupid shit like saying you are not a 'Real" Black person if you don't like Hip hop or Basketball some stupid shit like that.
Dricus started this shit by Implying that Israel,Francis and Usamn are not Real African Champions because they stay out of Africa this man does not know their situation as to why they had to leave thier countries so for him to say that shit is very ignorant and dumb as hell and if all it takes is for a person to live outside of their birth country for them to be considerd Fake then that means a lot of Fighters, Athletes and Entertainers can not truly Claim the country they say they truly represent

Race places no part in this, and if you’re saying you can’t claim África and be white, then people should say Leon Edwards cant claim to be British, which is a stupid and racist comment.

Dricus referred to the then Champion, Usman, and the current champ in the UFC . Not other current African based champions from other championships like EFC.
He said so because these two represented their belts more in US and New Zealand than they did in their countries of origin. They spend 99.9% of their time in those countries. They train, celebrate the belt, their winning, mourn their losses etc in those countries unlike Dricus who resides in Africa, trains in Africa, have a different African South African fighting style (don't argue before watching his interviews). So everything from Dricus is African. If you are against it based on colour, his great great great great times 200 parents were born in Africa.
Unlike N'Gannou who came to Africa with his belt, celebrated with his people, shares moments he spends with his family who are based in Africa, (I know he trains in France), these 2 never did that.

It is somewhat understandable and I emphasise somewhat understandable as to why Izzy got mad because for a white man to claim he is going to be the real African champion while implying the other 3 are fake it is messed up because what makes him more African? 1. You literally took it out of context. I'm pretty sure Dricus just didn't stop there, he went on to say that he and Cameron train in Africa, reside in Africa, and breath the African air. Which is true, Usman, Izzy and Ngannou don't train and reside in Africa. I'd advise you to learn how punctuations work in a sentence and then go and watch that interview again.
      2. You just jumped to the conclusion that he said they're not African. His intent could be different, there are many possibilities here, how did you figure out that his intent was to discredit Usman, Izzy and Ngannou of them being African? He didn't explicitly state anywhere that they're not African.
      3. You should also consider what he said after, he clarified this situation and explicitly stated that he isn't trying to discredit them of their race and ethnicity. He himself admitted they're African.
      4. If you want to deep dive into this, go watch the MMA Guru's channel, he did a critical breakdown of this situation. Very informative for people who struggle to stimulate their brain and form opinions without giving it a second thought, just like you.

So I would be correct in saying that Mr Helwani is of Israeli descent. So I would be correct to say that Mr Adesanya's first name is Israel. So I would be correct to say that both of them would be very proud of these facts.
Fun Fact: Israel supported the pre-1994 Apartheid government of South Africa on the military front and amongst others it was used to maintain the oppression of any person who was not white in South Africa. Needless to explain why the current SA government supports Palestine.
Mr Dricus du Plessis never lived Apartheid. He is a child of the new South Africa - born in 1994. These post 94 kids in SA do not see race or colour as that is how us older generation here in SA educate them. The SA government currently classify the population in four groups as follows: Black, Coloured, Indian/Asian and White. So to conclude according to the SA Government we are all Africans having South African Nationality and I guess that makes Mr du Plessis a true African - in anyway that is how his own government views him.
    Enjoy your day.
