I like how there is a specific special minigame, "Challenge Booksquirm," t hat allows you to run on the pages until you get crushed. Even the devs knew this minigame was going to be popular lol
Thank you so very much for returning to this video series! This video has been very helpful to me in determining which _Mario Party 4_ minigames should be added to _Superstars_ as DLC (should Nintendo and NDcube do DLC for that game, that is). 😊 Was not expecting Mr. Blizzard’s Brigade to make your top ten this time around. Last time you did minigame lists for _Mario Party 4_ , it made your worst list. “Zero to hero in no time flat, zero to hero just like that”, huh? 😉
I definitely respect your top picks. Mario Party 4 has long been my favorite because I think it has the overall best minigame selection. My personal top 3 are Dungeon Duos first, Treasure Trek second, and Booksquirm third. I also really like The Great Deflate for some reason.
I would like to give an honourable mention to Panel Panic, a version of Panels of Doom where the 4 players are competing, along with the 4 characters that aren’t selected, and Bowser. What makes it better than Panels of Doom, is the fact that many players can fall if multiple numbers are rolled, and hearing all of them scream as they all fall down, which is kind of hilarious! It’s a shame that Bob-omb Breakers isn’t playable in Superstars, but still a great Minigame!
Theee Throw, THE FINAL BATTLE, Kareeming Koopas, Team Treasure Trek, Paths of Peril, Trace Race, Dungeon Duos, Booksquirm, Domination, Bob Omb Breakers, Mario Medley and Butterfly Blitz are my favorites here.
Fantastic list Slim! While I disagree with some of your rankings and opinions, you did an excellent job as always of explaining your reasoning, and this was a great treat to see finally. Excellent job! (Also my favorite minigame of all time aside from Lift Leapers in MP6 is #1, WOO-HOO!).
Totally agree with your thoughts about Bowser's Bigger Blast... except for ONE thing. Of every Mario Party luck-based minigame., it is the most entertaining in terms of looks and tension. Future luck-based games in 5 and 6 are not only bad because they're luck, but because they're so dull and boring to even watch. Get a Rope and Pitifall, you pick and it's basically over, barely any buildup or payoff. Bowser's Big and Bigger Blast on the other hand are great when it comes to spectating. One of the few mini games where the music plays a role, with it fading out during the big moment, and this game adding the delay in response near the end, it's the ultimate troll. I guess my point with all this is. Luck-based games in Mario Party I've accepted, cause it's a FOr Families thing, but man sometimes I feel like they might as well just recycle this game instead of making new ones, cause this one topped the stress feeling.
Equating all luck minigames to "bad minigames" (not what you did), is short-sighted. The developers intentionally put these minigames in there to give less skilled players a chance to win, kind of like chance time. While I agree the best minigames aren't usually the luck one's, claiming every minigame that's a luck minigame is a bad is a very one-dimensional way to think about minigames. And of the luck minigames, I do agree that Bowser's Bigger Blast is one of the better one's. You said that it was the most entertaining, but I think that's your opinion that no other one is as good. For me Bowser's Big Blast, Bowser's Bigger Blast, Merry Go Chomp and Cut From the Team are all about equal in terms of suspense and excitement. I'd actually say I've been on the edge of my seat the most playing Cut From the Team. But I agree that Bowser's Bigger Blast is definitely better than the crappy luck minigames that they put in 5 and 6. It's better than Cheep Cheep Chance for me as well.
Dungeon Duo to me I think is the best MP4 mini game I honestly love Booksquirm but I think its a little overrated but still amazing I just don’t it’s the best mini game. Great list overall though, can’t complain!
Neatly constructed list here, Slim! There was no doubt Bowser's Bigger Blast deservedly got what was coming to it. Why it returned to Superstars? I will never know, but we'll just have to deal with it. I did come across another youtuber who made two separate videos for best top 10 and worst top 10 minigames in Mario Party 4 and to my chagrin (and probably most, if not all other people watching), Bowser's Bigger Blast was in the best top 10 video. I'm thinking "why on Earth would they put everything a minigame should NOT be in the best top 10 video?" Guess they just like their luck-based minigames more than some others that actually contain strategy. And do you wanna know something even more defiling? In the worst top 10 videos, they even said if you like any of what they put in the worst top 10 video, you're wrong. Seriously? We all have varying opinions of what we like and don't like and that's perfectly OK. You can't rank a series of minigames in a top 10 video, and then discredit the opinions of others before you close. That's why I'm not subscribed to them and I'm subscribed to you, Slim because you're very detailed, outspoken, and not afraid to say what you think. P.S. PIECES! GAME OF THE YEAR!
I’m actually one of those few people who actually doesn’t mind luck-based minigames (with a few exceptions). Some of my favorite luck-based minigames even include Bowser’s Big Blast, Stacked Deck, Deck Hands, and Cardiators. I know a lot of people really hate luck-based minigames, Slimkirby included, and I get and respect that a lot. Like you said, everyone has different opinions, which is perfectly fine.
Although, I’ll admit this, I feel like Bowser’s Big Blast was degraded significantly in this game, so I’m not as much of a fan of it compared to its other counterparts.
Hudson: "Hey Slim, did you miss Bowser's Big Blast?" Slim: "No." Hudson: "TOO BAD! :D" Slim: "Well, at least this is the last time they're bring it back. Mario Party Superstars: "Hold my beer."
I really like that he putted Hop or Pop at #9. I think Hop or Pop is one of the better 1 vs 3 minigames. I disagree about Hide and Go Boom being better than Hide and Sneak. Booksquirm is the most popular Mario Party 4 minigame just like Face Lift was the most popular minigame in Mario Party 1.
Minigames in The Top 100: Blame It On The Crane The Final Battle! The Great Deflate Hide and Go BOOM! Paths of Peril Revers-a-Bomb Trace Race The original Bowser's Big Blast is in both.

Dungeon Duos and The Great Deflate I love so much!!!
@@pokefanalex9504 Yeah, I love their aesthetics a ton.

#5, #4, #3, and #1 are absolutely outstanding minigames I'm glad that you gave them the respect that they deserve. #8 is also quite good as well.
Love how you take your time with this list! Great video, now I wanna play MP4 again.

Personally my favorites are Dungeon Duo's, Path of Perils, Order Up, Hop or Pop and The Great Deflate! Really nice list!!
Booksquirm?
@Turbos-b3z I like Booksquirm but not a true favorite, but definitely not a bad game
Booksquirm may be a good minjgame, but it will never be my favorite minigame ever. same with Dungeon Duos
Hudson: "Hey Slim, did you miss Bowser's Big Blast?"
