Melty Blood was a big hit in Japan. Most Type-Moon products are big in Japan like MH before MH World except Marvelous spin-off games. It's only us players outside of Japan who don't know how big Melty Blood was. It was bigger than Guilty Gear and Blazblue combined. It was very popular. Problem with Type-Moon is their logistics and distribution issues. No company outside was willing to publish their games because their license is very expensive. We went through two decades without TM releases outside of Japan. But with Aniplex things looks brighter now. If it wasn't for TM's issues with logistics and distribution and lack of global presence French-Bread would have been a more known fighting developer today.
