Nice vid, again. I wish there would be a V3 of this with a hot-swappable microswitch instead of optical switch. If the infrared gets busted after a year, you can't repair it anymore nor can RMA it. :/
Are the optical switches in the new deathadders and the vipers the same/ feel the same? I've used the DA v2 and the clicks felt really light and weird so I'm not sure whether I should buy a viper mini...
How do you put back the top cover piece that in the end is in the bottom left? EDIT: Found out. The right click side of the cover wasn't fitting and in the last attempt I realized the "column" has to fit with a small metal tab from the piece below, that tab had got deformed in my previous wrongly attempted place back in. You have to slid the front two from the front backwards so the two tabs, one per button, slot inside the back holes in those columns and then press the back down.
Which switches in this mouse are optical and which are mechanical? Also, what kind of scroll wheel encoder does it have - optical or mechanical? Mechanical ones are bad, I had to throw away quite a few not the cheapest mice just because the scroll wheel encoder got worn out and did not work properly anymore.
My scroll wheel is lod when im scrolling to the front and its feels like something is rubbing against it. I got the v2 pro. Could it be possible, that a wire is rubbing against it?
I thought the mouse was damaged on the left side because it felt lighter than the right but they are different buttons thanks to your video I didn't take it apart lol
the sensor just doesnt feel right to me in viper mini, i got model o- and model D- i can get much higher kovaks scores with them, even with the normal viper i perform much better, i dont know why people like this mouse that much, for me lift of distance is no issue but the sensor is one, something is wrong with that sensor, i would even prefer older avago laser sensors.
@@Beardedbob agreed, the mouse lift off distance is the worst thing i have ever have in that price, i could have a logitech g304 with better sensor, wireless and personally i think a better switch I don't know, but the viper and DA have so much potential, I like the shape of them more, the wire is very good, the weight is so amazing and the mouse feet are the best but i could custom change the g304 mouse feet too so i think razer need to improve the mini series if they want it to be a better mouse
@@Saki_rnd Could be just the prism that they use. Covering it fixes the LOD issue. I had the DA Mini and the Viper Mini and that's what I did to resolve the LOD issue.

Can you change the switches? From optical to mechanical?
can you replace the switches in this one with the omron D2FC-F-K(50M)-RZ's? or are they just completely done for? (Razer Deathadder V2)
can't believe this guy just did an autopsy on a mouse. lmao good work
No mouse is safe….we need to see them all gutted on a table
Is there any difference between deathadder v2 mini and viper mini spec? or is it just the design(ergonomic shape)?
Same
Hello. Are the Razer Deathadder V2 and Razer Deathadder V2 mini switches the same?
I have trouble with the middle click, how can you open it, or take it out?
Hello, beardedbob. Razer DA v2 not wireless disassembled similarly ? bolts under sticker is not available ? Thanks!
Need to opening it and tear it down tbh so atm I can't confirm. A teardown will be out soon though.
@@Beardedbob ok!
Bobedbeard do be tearing down that mouse

Different
@@Beardedbob could you elaborate? Does the DA v2 have a newer version? Do you explain the difference in one of your vids? Thanks for your help :)

Hi bob, do you happen to know the side button switches used in the Deathadder V2 wired?
Thank you for your video. Really helpful!
Np Shivam Maurya glad I could help 👍

Hi may i know what tool are u using? Planning to disassmble my Deathadder V2 since the left click feel a but wobbly.
Hi, they are all listed on here shop.beardedbob.com/collections/tools
that is how every review should be made, I don't care for personal opinions, I want dimensions and to know the components.
I don't like the sensitivity change buttons, can I put the old deathadder top on top of this new one? It fits?
no this is to small for that its a mini
I mean normal size, it's possible
?
how do you put the skates back on

maybe yep
wait you can just switch the micro switch without de-solder it ? Nice. look easy to repair if it double click
Thank you for video
can use optical switch to replace this mouse 1 and mouse 2?
opto mech switch? the new vipers have compatible switches which you can swap.
Hi, I've got the Deathadder V2, used it for about a month, all of a sudden the left click stops working all together? Any ideas not sure what I do.
RMA it.
hey mr bob can i put tape on top of the switches to reduce the pretravel ?
Yes
what tape? the grip tape?
My razer deathadder v2 has hollow sound on left click. Can i fix it somehow?
RMA

can those optical switches be swapped for something else
only for other Razer opto switches
Love this mouse. Can we put the death adder v2 ultimate inside this shell to make a wireless v2 mini?
Don't think so but I've not tried to confirm
@@Beardedbob that would be insane. I love the small form factor and shape but with it was wireless 😔
where to get swapped optical switches
You can't atm. You can only get them from another donor Razer mouse that uses them.
i don't even realized the scroll wheel on this is a spoked one.
Learn something new every day :-p
you should use more lighting and beter focus, your video is very grainy and blurry even in 1440p
Noted. I've increased the lighting since this one, we shall see how it goes
why they use shit omrons for the sidebuttons? is the full-size razer the same?
corp deal so they get them cheap :-p

Model o certainly has the better 3360 👍
mid click barely works... mouse is like a year old, last time I'm buying a razer mouse. Stick to logitech ppl.
DeathAdder series must gone
Do you mean must go?
@@Beardedbob must gone into black hole of history.
that sensor must go, it's so bad :(, i love everything about mouse like the viper mini but the sensor it's so bad
Agreed it should of had the 3389
