It's "soo funny" and "sooo cool"....I like, johnny style, virtuosity and groove on the drum... thank you johnny for this démonstration,it's extremly délicious!!! You are the "Best" with other drummers but i ever like your musicality, you are the man!! Thanks men,see you later on you tube vidéo.
Love your transitions and your feel on breaks and feels, you are setting your self apart with your own language, which is what it's all about! Fantastick!
You can tell that he's actually gone through the brain, found the best sounds, tuned them to his liking and rolled it all into one kit! Johnny Rabb is amazing, he thinks about the actual SOUND of the electronic drums rather than just getting on there and bashing the heck outta them!
@CrystalWolf2479 ONLY interesting ones like this! I drum, and I get bored to tears with most solos of really good or even inarguably great drummers! I guess it just took me a long time to fully understand my Grandfather's concepts about what helps define tastefulness and scintillating playing in a musician. A lengthy drum solo is an easy way to bore listeners -- unless the drummer has 'something to say'. Johnny Rabb didn't bore me for an instant. Musicality enlivened this solo.
Have you thought about getting rubber mutes for your drums and cymbals? It's not a 100% fix, but takes away most of the noise and would probably let your brother sleep if you're not hitting the rims too much.
What I've noticed about Rabb's free-hand technique is that it isn't really the mainstay of his rhythmic playing. I'd like to see him use it more, as at present, it appears to be a novelty during his solo act.
Jojo Mayer himself admitted that matched grip is actually more efficient and natural than traditional grip. Traditional grip is only for the feel and it's a matter of preference.
If its great sounds you want in an electronic brain.... but without all the bells and whistles and editing features... but pure multisample power... something like BFD samples in a brain... check out the drumit 2box kit... its amazing.
I wish i had the money for an electric set too damn expensive, I have 4 drum sets and never get to play any of them because my brother works at night and sleeps during the day.
This guy is awesome.
What I like is that he's taking risks, not staying in his confort zone
Cool stuff! Thx for sharing!!! Greetings from germany Christoph 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏

Roland makes the best electronic drums hands down.
Extremely musical solo. Chops like crazy but kept his ego in check. Very relaxed too!

At 6:38 How to make it's possible? with one drum cash?
@idan124 yes that's Dutch humor ;p
Probably the most expensive too!

2:43 guy at the background says: eey psst! look there is a wall..

ahahahahahahahahah I love you!
Y en tonses bajo dios a tocar la pila ...
I've heard this before somewhere, how does matched grip limit a drummer?
Random posing at 4:02 FTW
Just wait till you hear them. haha
With those hands, Johnny would be an INCREDIBLE Battlefield 3 or COD-BO2 player.... WORD...
I think he'd make a better hockey player with hands like that.
Didn´t know Messi plays drums lol
Sounds like Johnny's getting Laid :)
comment fail
This guy only uses the match grip so he's limited to what he can to with all tha hardware, which is unfortunate.
search for drum-tec drums..even better
This really SUCKS!
