Lol.the 10 hole rims we used to use as boat anchors and couldn't pay someone to take them away because they ware so ugly .still haven't grown on me but hey to each . Lol
I love how he kept the stock simple, clean look. And those 10 holes... I'm pretty sure those are the 16" replicas, and that's an awesome way to get bigger, modern tires and keep the classic look. This is one of the best fox body builds I've ever seen.

I love that he has kept it almost completely stock in appearance, I think it is a shame when any car loses it's stock paint color no matter what color it is. Odd colors like this that were once not very desirable are now very desirable for many reasons. I think in the future the most valuable fox bodies will be the rare color combos like this. You can't go wrong with a coyote swap either, just perfect. The only thing i would do if it were my car is install matching tan halo headrests on the seats, maybe a pair of a saleen with the netting, that would finish her off.

Great build. That thing is crazy clean. Dashboard and gauges look brand new! Love them old mid 80s Fox bodies. First car I ever drove at 11 years old in ‘92 was an ‘85 hatchback with the 4 cyl. Granted it was only around the block but I still remember that day like yesterday lol.

I love this thing. I have an 86 Sand Beige, same stripper setup, tan interior. Went 5.0/5 speed from an 88 GT parts car so all guts from that. I saved that car from a junkyard. Very well done effort here.

I had the 1985 sage green 5.0 auto with that exact same beige interior with funky really early fuel injection looked like duel spray can nozzles. This swap is too sweet!

I had a car just like that for my 1st car. Only in red and a 4 speed manual. It was gutless but still loved it. I always wanted to do exactly what you did to yours. Beautiful job!!
It sounds like an old 4v almost...I had a 97 cobra and an 03 mach both had catless mid one x one h both had Flowmaster 40s on them they sounded alot like this. I think it is a combo of the Flowmaster 40s and the muffler before the axle setup like the pre 05 cars had that makes the difference.
I had a 83 notchback 4 cylinder and i bought a 77 Lincoln with a 460 and built it up and put it in the mustang. Was a lot of work. I had to beef up the suspension. Painted it jet black. Lots of fun when it was finished though

I'm a chevy guy but I learned to drive a manual in a 90lx notch and I Absolutely love foxbodys they are of their own Breed and are the og of the 90s drag strips!

Wow, this is crazy....my grandparents bought that exact car is 1985 in CT (SORRY, I CAN'T REMEMBER THE DEALERSHIP) but it got totaled shortly after cause he got T-boned pulling into Denny's on the Salas Dean Highway in Rocky Hill (failing eyesight), luckily my Grandmother had her seatbelt on! Had no idea the such low production numbers.
I have a 2016 CTS VSport (3.6L twin turbo) running an exhaust without mufflers. Sounds nice and mellow "driving normally" as he said, but get into it (probably hitting about 500-550HP on E85) and sounds like a freaking beast. People follow me to ask about it because it sounds so different than a V8. I have been asked once by a guy in a Ferrari did I put a Ferrari engine in it. The exhaust is totally custom and engineered to remove rasp and enhance the sound. I love the car. Never thought I'd drive a Caddy as my performance car (I do want a old land yacht convert one though one day).
I’m not really a later model mustang fan. But I do like the notch back look. Seen a couple others that were improved from stock. I really like this one, and the green color especially. I’d have been happy with the 4 cylinder, considering the great condition. This car is excellent. A great upgrade without the need to hack it apart. I’m truly jealous. 👍😎

Amazing how having the 2 chamber flowmasters mounted under the car instead of at the rear bumper makes a difference. Sounds like the old pushrod 5.0.
everything sounds worse with with rear mount mufflers. mustangs, camaros, corvettes...

My first car was a medium canyon red 1985 5.0 Notch. I loved that car. Sold it after HS and bought an Oxford white 86 SVO.

One of the coolest sleepers ever ! I owned a black 86 stick shift convertible GT back in the day, miss it !
You could put a vintage air in it and only have to drill a small hole for the bulkhead for the hoses.

Back in the 80's and 90's, we called them coupes. It's only been in the last 10 years that the notch back term has emerged.
Yeah I agree and same goes for foxbody. We always called them a 5.0 or just five O right?!

According to someone else the 37' is the code number for 5.0 Performance variants of that time.
