The river Teme is a shadow of its former self. In the 60's it was clear with weed and clean gravel and pebbles full of loaches and bullheads. There were plenty of trout and grayling right down to the lower levels, minnows, sea trout and salmon. Wading with the fly was common.
Now its a muddy stream.
Mark, Bottom line is farming is going to have to revert to doing it the old fashioned way without all the chemical fertilizers, pesticides, insecticides, etc. Compost and manure is the way to go.
I'd strongly suggest you start a petition to have these pollutants banned once and for all.
