I try to keep my patterns by garment type. Yes, patterns with multiple options can muck up that system. Tops, bottoms, outerwear and accessories are a good place to start. I very much enjoy your travel videos and love to watch the process of making. Happy 2025!
2025 is going to be the year of the stash for me, I say that as I just bought more fabric 😣….. but that happened in 2024 😊. I want to go through my stash and match material to patterns. I want to create a couple of capsule type collections in my me made.I have been on a journey to elevate my techniques and make all my finishes super elevated. I finally realized I love to sew, and the joy of wearing the garment comes from the internal pride of the job I did. Besides, I can only wear so many things. I really enjoyed your travel Vloges this year and would love to see more of those. It’s always fun to see the process of what goes into a make as well so I’ll look forward to seeing more of those. Thank you for all the inspiration and Happy New Year 🎆 to you and yours.
If you put time and effort into making a garment that fits you well it’s worth buying good quality fabric and paying attention to the finishing as you found with your trousers only use cheap fabric for toiled wish you a happy new year
I such a slow sewer because I still get caught up in the it 'must be perfect'...and I know logically that's just not realistic so then I procrastinate!. So 2025 is about moving past that. Some very good thoughts to reflect on Sam. Thanks. PS: Best wishes for 2025!
Hi Sam love your vlog Happy New Year to you You are so inspiring I would really love seeing your journey from choosing the fabrics, the pattern and then seeing the process and the finished garment would be so amazing. 😊
I definitely patterns arrange according to garment type. I would never remember the name of the pattern let alone pattern company so patterns would be lost in the depths of my poor memory. Happy New year to you Sam and I look forward to hearing more in 2025 - especially about putting items together in an outfit.
Happy New Year Sam. I’d love to see the process of picking fabric, the pattern to the finished garment. Also I’d love to hear more about putting colours, styles etc together ….I just love your sense of colour!
Hi Sam anything you do I love. My favs have been the Ironing Board Chats. A quick question which do you prefer the Billie Sweater dress or the Southbank Sweater Dress? And if you have a preference Why? I’m in 2 minds which one to purchase x best wishes Shelley
I only have the billy so hard to compare but I feel that most jumpers can be extended. I did a video here about other jumpers I have extended ua-cam.com/video/7GXLdS0xbHM/v-deo.htmlsi=ll4lDeyA2BCq3kBV
Organization is always my downfall. My brother is staying with me for a bit and is telling no more fabric buying until all is sewed and same for all my jewelry making beads. The struggle is real, especially in small spaces.

New year wishes to you too. It is a tricky balance to want a good finish but not get tangled up in perfectionism x
Hello Sam! I’m glad to hear your plan; not that you had to have one though! I’ll be following your journey!
Hi thanks. I agree but it does help me to be intentional which I have decided is my word of 2025

I’m a slow sewer because I want a quality product. If I want something crappy I can buy it!

I totally understand. It is tricky but you sound like me with different hobbies and it's nice to have some choice xx
