Before I even watch, I always love these videos and they help me a ton at draft since its now the only format that I can really afford. Thanks Nizza!
I feel this comment more than i like to admit
You should try pauper! Buy a deck for the same cost as a single draft and keep it forever. Or pauper commander, big fan of that too
Find friends who like proxies, play decks at power 8 or so, you’ll have a great time!
0:52 Battles RG
3:46 Transform UG
5:54 Phyrexians WB
9:13 Incubation BG
10:26 Mill UB
14:46 +1/+1 counters WG
17:18 Backup WR
18:35 Sacrifice BR
20:54 Knight Tribal WU
21:45 Convoke/Spells UR
Thanks buddy! Nizza should really pin this
Glad I caught this 50 seconds after upload. Going to be super helpful going into my prerelease this weekend. Great content as always!
While Red-Green's archetype seems really niche, I hope it's a good color pair.
Every pack will have (at least?) one battle, and there are 5 battles at uncommon in GR, so I don't think it's gonna be that difficult to get some battles.
Yeah, and a lot of red and green’s (un)commons this set seem pretty efficient, so it’ll probably be a solid stompy deck even if you don’t get many battles.
I personally hope... not? In the last set, Gruul was the best color pair, and I've drafted it more times than I'm willing to admit for the last few months.
I'm longing for a palate cleanser.
I honestly can’t tell if that was supposed to be a play on words.
@@Alessandro-vv2fh Yeah that makes sense, but I'm thinking of Midnight Hunt where the set's focus was on Werewolves and that was the worst color pair by far. This is a new card type that's also half the set's focus, so hopefully it doesn't fall flat on its face again.
But again, the archetype is really narrow (that's the word I wanted to use last night when I said niche), since it requires uncommon cards to interact with, that's why I'm worried.
My first prerelease is tomorrow so this is perfect!
14:38 I see the Sword of Once and Future more as a defensive card AGAINST Dimir decks and as an enhancer to the little spells heavy decks, like at 22:12
17:00 or so, you can exploit the Incubate and the Backup mechanics to have HUGE monsters!
white/black looks really strong, can't wait to draft that archetype soon! Hoping for the best in my pre-release kit! Good luck to you too Nizzahon, thank you for your content always!
Good luck!
In case anyone like me was wondering why Axgard Artisan and Fairgrounds Trumpeter weren't mentioned, it's because they are Jumpstart cards, and therefor won't be in draft packs.
It's sad, the homunculi referees would have been so good in Limited!
@@sallomon2357 Yes! I was so disappointed when I found out that it was a Jumpstart card.
Thank you for that, I was genuinely confused if they were in the set or not.
Love your videos! Especially for archetypes for each set.
If I may make a suggestion, could you add chapters to the video so we could skip to different color pairings?
Keep up the great work!
Thanks Nizzahon! You missed 'Knight of the New Coalition' in the Knights Archetype section 🙂
They actually made ug interesting 😮 i cant believe i missed this whole 'block'
Enjoyed black green at my pre release the past weekend
Weird haven't watched you in years and look up nizzahon march of the machine guide and you had uploaded one minute prior
I think blue-white's viability will be based on how good the knights in those colors are at common and uncommon. I don't have have high hopes but if it has a decent suite of creatures the lack of payoffs could be mitigated.
He also missed the multi-verse legends night that gives creatures with first strike, double strike, in the world that you can continually give a creature first strike by adding knights. It always has a double strike. Plus, there’s a night with back up to buff your first striking night or possibly double striking nights there’s also a night with double strike, so with the payoff, you basically get a stronger, double striker all the time. And there’s just a ton of nights, you can really keep the train going. Best case scenario I think is that I have Thalía and a bunch of nights And the creature add-on value will just overwhelmed the board going wide, and a huge buff strategy. On top of that vigilance goes in well with the blue convolk spells, and there’s an equipment that gives vigilance. I think with all the night cards in the draft, it’s gonna be really hard to start without a board wipe.
A good thing about ayara is she is missing the if it would leave the battlefield exile it instead so you can reanimate the same thing every turn as long as you can kill it or bounce/flicker it be4 the end step it doesn't exile
I think Red is gonna be the color to look out for. RW and RG can be strong
I love this wb, the moste powerfull one I guess
I wonder if the mana is going to be good enough to do proper 3 color decks, more than just a splash, because it seems like a lot of the 2 color pairs overlap in pretty interesting ways.
Mana is not good enough to do
Outside the scope of this set but are MDFCs considered transformed when on their back side?
I’m pretty sure that they aren’t.
I guess blue green doesn’t have any repairs for the deck does it?
RG seemed like the strongest pair to me. A lot of very strong creatures, and the battle upside is great, but I don't think that synergy will be as immediately impactful as a +1/+1 archetype
Can Omen Hawker flip the incubator tokens?
Yes
Ya know im sure they already play tested it but how much more interesting would battles be if both sides could actually fight in the battle obviously theyd need more health but as like a "third player" type deal so everyone could attack it but if the opponent kills it they dont get to flip it it just dies instead so its not just terrible lol
Honestly this seems like one of the wackiest limited formats they've ever made, I hope that means it's fun and interesting cause I do sorta wanna draft it a ton on Arena
Guessing the UG Transform archetype is really weak? There was no mention of Rares, and it seems there are very few payoffs :(
Sorry for the constant Teeka's Dragon jokes everyone. It apparently has offended some people in the comment sections.
Why tho lmao
@@Jake-ew7lg It isn't funny evidently. Even though Emperor Lobster has been asking for his Vintage Top 10 long before I came along. I think both are valid.
Don’t stop!
Not every joke has to be for everyone. If they don't like it they can just ignore it. Personally I find it hilarious.
It's probably because Teeka's Dragon is no laughing matter. Clearly its power and majesty has its die hard fans who are appalled that one would joke about it.
Playing multiple Dimir in this set is gonna be a problem. If every go around your losing 5 -7 cards, the game will be over in LITERALLY 6 or 7 turns!
In Germany we say arschtype😊
I HATE the multiverse bonus sheet concept. So fucking annoying makes drafting so complex and random for no reason. Also why can't IZZET color pair every have a unique mechanic that is not some variation of SPELLS?!!? so unoriginal and repetitive.
Sorry WOTC but this is the worst Expansion of all time.
Nizzahon doesn't work for WOTC.
