Good on ya, Sadhguru, for educating people on choosing a wiser and more compassionate lifestyle that is good for you, the animals, other people and the planet. Been vegan for 9 years and my ONLY regret is not having done it earlier.
Veganism is not a diet, it's not about food choices. It's about acknowledging and respecting the individuality of nonhuman sentient beings. They only have their life, and we «unnecessarily» rob it from them. We are indoctrinated into this thinking and behavior, in a system built on their exploitation. But we have choice. We can question and unlearn the supremacist system of thinking, and challenge the inertia of animal use. Animals don't exist for us to use. They are not resources for food, clothing or entertainment. They «ALSO» deserve the fundamental right not to be property, not to be enslaved, commodified. Embrace nonviolence. Go vegan 🍀
@@cassclare I hear you. I was also raised to believe it was normal and necessary. However, if it were, there would be no point in going vegan and writing about Animal Rights. Only after questioning the necessity one can properly affirm it is or it isn't. Meanwhile, one is not free to choose, but slave from the «given ideas». I challenged myself and discovered I had been wrong, indeed. I value Truth, respect and non-violence. Therefore, I could not deceive myself anymore and properly learnt how to go vegan. And went. May you also challenge the ideas about nonhuman sentients once were put in our heads. Cheers 🍀

I went vegan for the animals once i became aware of the animal exploitation suffering and killing of them nearly 12 yrs ago. I am nearly 69 yrs old and at my fittest and healthiest. Humans do not need to consume the dead flesh or the milk from another species which we do not need but have been conditioned to consume. When we educate ourselves and know better, we can live and be better. The best life style change anyone can make is to educate yourself and go vegan, for the animals, for the planet, and for our health.
I tried vegan for 4 months and just ended up feeling weak and then developed IBS... I was eating plenty of protein and as much variety as I could and learning everything I could but it just didn't work. I added occasional fish, eggs and chicken back into my diet and felt SO much better and even the IBS largely went away. I still get some issues now and then but nowhere near as bad. I really really tried but it just did not work for me, and I have to like hide this now from any vegans I meet in person because I can't stand the bullying they often inflict over it. Sometimes it's more sniping at me than blatant aggressive arguing back that I did it wrong etc when I really didn't, but it is really hurtful and I just can't deal with it anymore so I just avoid the entire discussion now. I just vent sometimes online!
@@DM-kv9kj IBS doesn't come from being vegan. You were not eating correctly as a vegan or you were under great stress or taking pharmaceuticals. Veganism is health. Do you know the word Ahimsa? Food is grown, not born.
Wrong. The planet needs soil, as the speaker in the video notes. And the best soil comes from herbivore grazing, and that soil is best for growing vegetables. There’s a big difference between factory farms, which are horrible, and animal husbandry using biomimicry and regenerative farming that enriches the soil. People are part of the cycle of life, and our eating animals is natural as any other animal eating other animals. Do you think cats should be fed vegan food? And if not, do you propose starving all domestic cats to death? If you see a cat about to catch and eat a mouse, would you save the mouse and let the cat starve? Sorry, your position just denies basic evolutionary reality of life. If eating ‘dead flesh’ makes you squeamish, then you’re like a repressed religious fanatic who thinks sex is bad. Sex is normal and natural, and imposing religious fanaticism on it doesn’t make it ‘impure’ or morally reprehensible. Your vegan fanaticism is distorting your view of reality.
THE BURNING PLANET's SOLUTION: - Even if we plant 1 million trees every year, it will take them years to grow. - The climate destruction rate won't wait until these trees grow. - Also, not all of the planted trees will actually grow due to unfavorable situations. - It makes a lot more sense to not chop the existing billions of trees for raising trillions of animals for meat production in the first place. - Simply GOING VEGAN can stop more than 68% of the greenhouse gases that are emerging from these many animals. We can never be too ignorant and selfish that we only care about our taste buds, especially when the whole planet is burning with everybody in it.
Animals produces 14% Also don't you think Meat eaters are saving the planet if your point is right about animals ?? Not to mention the herbivores animals are being consumed as they are the 14% of animals ! There are millions of problems that paves ways to burn the Planet. But veganism doesn't have a contribution saving them for sure. Coz they need clothing, food and other things from plants and trees only!!!! How on earth is vegan saving the planet , Nevermind you vegans are malnutritioned how much intelligence can we expect!
Only one completely lacking of awareness would make such a statement! Come on now! What do the animals EAT that you all barbarians FARM FOR RESOURCES? How much does a cow eat compared to YOU? THINK? Please, before talking! Ugh! You’re welcome!
This is misleading because it doesn’t need to be this way. Not when sustainable agriculture practices are used. People are not educated to the alternatives.
What do you mean misleading? Is it so hard to understand it's much more efficient to eat plants directly? You need on average 10kg of crops to grow 1 kg of flesh. @@traceyjoel2473

Animals are our Folk One of the reasons why we should take care of other animals is because they are our brothers and sisters on account of their possessing a soul, their physical proximity to us, and their ability to suffer. In the first creation story man and woman are created in God’s image. But it also tells us that animals have a soul. In Genesis 1:30 (KJV) it reads, "And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so." Hebrew for the phrase "life" in the verse above is "nephesh chayyah", which is mistranslated as "life" in most English versions of the Bible. Nephesh means soul and chayyah means living. In other words, God did give the animals a living soul when He created them. Thus the animals are sentient, i.e., able to look for physical pleasure and to stay away from physical pain; to yearn to go on living, endeavoring to shun death and to able to experience various emotions. Subsequently, God created man and breathed into his nostrils the same “breath of life”, “nephesh chayyah”, (Gen.2:7) which is the living soul. By reason of this commonality of possessing a living soul the animals are also our brothers and sisters to be loved by us. (Farians 2009) Also, animals are apparently proximal to us. They live side by side with us. They are literally neighbors of us, just that we frequently destroy their homes and chase them out of their living habitats. Moreover, Jeremy Bentham (1789) pointed out that it is animals' ability to suffer rather than their rationality which made them our neighbors:-"The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?" The 'mainstream sect' is categorically wrong about why the nonhuman sentients are here. The 'main' theme in this huge sect is called «speciesism», which is a belief system similar in structure to racism or sexism. We learn speciesism since we are children. «This individual has moral value, this has not, it is not an individual, but an asset. Because of 'species', (or 'race', or 'sex').» Other animals don't belong to humans. They don't exist to serve us. Respecting nonhuman individuals means, at the very least, not using them for our profit, not for food, not for clothing, not for entertainment. We can live and thrive without using them, we can live leaving them alone. One just needs to challenge the speciesism pumping in the inside. One can unlearn speciesism. Sadhguru may SelfActualize himself, such as any of us. Cheers.

It seems to me that human teeth shows us we are plant eaters. Our "canines" are nothing like a true carnivores canines. We have molars for grinding plants. Carnivorous animals have sharp back teeth for slicing meat.

No snacks, no appetizers, no desserts, no raiding pantry. My lesson learnt: Eat only when you are very hungry. Eat half- stomach, don’t fill it. Do intermittent fasting. Eat lots of of veggies and add fresh protein once a week.

Long term vegan lack proteins. I think eating fish is less evil than eating mammals, I heard they don't feel pain the same way we do. Go vegan 🍀
It is not unnecessary though.
@@cassclare I hear you. I was also raised to believe it was normal and necessary. However, if it were, there would be no point in going vegan and writing about Animal Rights. I challenged myself and discovered I had been wrong, indeed. I value Truth, respect and non-violence. Therefore, I could not deceive myself anymore and properly learnt how to go vegan. And went.

THE BURNING PLANET's SOLUTION:
- Even if we plant 1 million trees every year, it will take them years to grow.
We can never be too ignorant and selfish that we only care about our taste buds, especially when the whole planet is burning with everybody in it.

sadguru can honestly say that he is not willing to annoy non vegetarian rather than talking like a politician.
veganism literally is a philosophy, against animal cruelty
Animals are not food. They are our neighbours, our brothers and sisters.
That is the most ridiculous statement I've ever heard.
Animals are our Folk
One of the reasons why we should take care of other animals is because they are our brothers and sisters on account of their possessing a soul, their physical proximity to us, and their ability to suffer.
In the first creation story man and woman are created in God’s image. But it also tells us that animals have a soul. In Genesis 1:30 (KJV) it reads,
"And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so."
Hebrew for the phrase "life" in the verse above is "nephesh chayyah", which is mistranslated as "life" in most English versions of the Bible.
(Farians 2009)
Also, animals are apparently proximal to us. They live side by side with us. They are literally neighbors of us, just that we frequently destroy their homes and chase them out of their living habitats.
Moreover, Jeremy Bentham (1789) pointed out that it is animals' ability to suffer rather than their rationality which made them our neighbors:-"The question is not, Can they reason? nor, Can they talk? but, Can they suffer?" It's because Sadhguru is wise but he speaks diplomatically to not rub a sub-sect of people the wrong way
He is wise but not kind to animals as he is not vegan. Those who are the kindest will go vegan and stay vegan, for the animals, for health, and for the planet.
The 'mainstream sect' is categorically wrong about why the nonhuman sentients are here. The 'main' theme in this huge sect is called «speciesism», which is a belief system similar in structure to racism or sexism. We learn speciesism since we are children.
«This individual has moral value, this has not, it is not an individual, but an asset. Because of 'species', (or 'race', or 'sex').»
Other animals don't belong to humans.

Humans cook their meat to make it easier to eat therefore not needing giant canines. The reality is if we were not supposed to eat meat our body would have an extremely bad reaction. we simply wouldn't be able to digest it.

How do u explain the miraculous benifits people are experiencing from the carnivore diet.
Exactly! Vegans go back to accusing you of “making excuses” and not trying to”enough”. They claim caring for animals whereas the truth is they don’t have even any regards for human beings
Carnivore diet can only help people with serious problem of having low energy on a daily basis to feel better for a while due to the huge amount of protein they receive. It can not be applied to healthy people though nor can the benefits last long enough to claim them to be beneficial in general....
That's because their vegan diet is not balanced. 31 biodiverse sources of nutrition are needed.
It's because of what the carnivore diet removes... but if they took out the meat too, welll now were talking 👌🏽 People are healing off potatoes only, and rice only diets too. Again, because of all the other terrible foods it removes
@DanielHernandez-io9db the must terrible of the food is rice itself. Carnivore fire me anyday.
This glasses with the beard!
I guess Water is the best answer for drinking since Nutmilk also causes sustainability issues -
I don’t agree with him
We must be vegan
Vegan is our design diet
And also connect to our natural instinct of loving animals and not being violent
Also
Is ancient religions such as Hindu
Zoroastrian
Paganism and Buddhism all not allowing to kill
Or take life and consume any thing come from suffering
So our diet accoutring to our long history every part of the world
It was vegan
Or vegetarian
But mostly vegan
So we can not eat what is best for us
If we eat dead-body of bings who being captivated tortured bad treated and finally by force executed in front of their Familly or kids
So well
I don’t think I can relate to sad guru
Who fail to make this clear the our diet is vegan
He is Bussiness man
Not really yogi 🧘♀️
He’s probably doing it because he might not want too much backlash I think he might be hinting it rather then saying it directly
Wtf are you saying ?
We are not désigned to break down cellulose and we have not spécifiques organs to digest antinutrients.
Stop smoking weed dude
Yes, we eat food for "fuel"..that was one of the reasons why I turned Vegan as well, but I really did it for the animals. After I learned about the meat industry and it's complete cruelty towards animals - I NEVER went back to eating meat. It's extreme torture and suffering for them. There is NO "HUMANE" way of murdering animals that want to live! The torture and suffer is the "fuel" you get when you eat these animals...you consume fear, terror, anxiety, anger, DISEASE...etc.
Can you be vegan if you live in the arctic regions and there are no way to grow vegetables?
How many animals die in order for vegetable crops to be grown?
A vegan diet from vegetables that are intensivly produced, without respect for their natural sorroundings, with enourmous amounts of pesticides ,is not a solution!
Can you bow to ,respect and recognize the divinity of whatever kind of living being you eat?
Cualquiera que se jacte de ser un poquito espiritual jamas comeriia animmales
Being so called "knowledgeable", thinking about 'soil' but still explaining Veganism as Food Choice. So great of you Jaggi Ji. You are so political that you didn't even acknowledge animal's pain and suffering on a public forum. 😡
I dont "spiritual" gurus that doesnt care for animals, they talk about ahimsa but not foe animals. Thats why I like S.M Ching Hai, I read their Books and she talks about a vegan World in each Page she talks about them. She also has a T.V program
Now health is the issue.
Being vegetarian is the Best ✌️✌️✌️ Most wonderful for human , society, nation and for earth..
Agreed. It's the middle way.
It's a beta way.
Dairy and egg industries are the most brutal and exploitative…go vegan! 🌱💚✌🏽
No. Dairy causes more death. The bulls as they are not used for farming are slaughtered. Plus dairy is a industry and works like one...10 percent profit every year so and so forth..so cows are fed steroids and what not increase milk production. Dairy is the major cause of estrogen surge and cancer.
No
Sadhguru tum namaami❤
Is sadhguru expert in all
1.medical science
2.moral phylosophy
3 physics
Wiser and better food, and suggesting people eat whats good for them REALLY tells nothing.
I'm surprised, Sadhguru didn't mention anti-cruelty
Long term vegan lack proteins. I think eating fish is less evil than eating mammals, I heard they don't feel pain the same way we do. I also don't see the problem with unfertilized eggs, the hens will latch eggs and it will not become a chick, it's such a great source of nutriments. Full vegan is hard and often rely too much on grains.. too much carb is not good.
Long term vegans lack protein??? What planet do you live on? 🤣😂
Watch seaspiracy might change your mind on fish
@meisterhouse9747 what can I eat to replace eggs? I need to build muscle mass and egg is arguably perfect in every ways. I find it hard to do good against evil.. I have been vegan for several months and I loss my muscle mass, i need to know what can replace the proteins source that is viable.
@@Mooncake1337 Watch "The Game Changers", that will answer your question : )
Please for the love of Vishnu get your facts rights, vegans can easily get more protein at lower cholesterol, but what they can’t get in high enough levels is calcium.
The fact that we digest meat doesn't mean that it does good to us.we can also digest paper.many people tell that we are omnivores because we can digest both meat and veggies. I am.not a vegan but i fast from animal products since 2 weeks and feel as healthy as a teenager. Better digestion better energy and nice skin
Perhaps become a vegan in the future
The future is now. There is no time limit in doing the right and moral thing.
It is Illogical to consume foods made by humans, instead of what is already provided to us by God 🖖
Why is he acting like a Politician bro, it's not about your health here it's about animals. Because your health as a vegan is absolutely fine and veganism in not a diet.
awesome!
Sadguru is so boring.
My respect for vegans.
So far I’m vegetarian. 🌱
Once we know how to do something, anything, and why, then it is an easy decision to make. When we know better, we can be better and so many things get better as a consequence. Veganism makes the most sense of all in this world. We have but one life and one planet, let us try to make the best of it all.
Why Sadhguru don't said people should not eat meat or not use any animal product .just looping the question.
maybe he don't agree with the idea of veganism
he wanted ppl to support save soil movement, he was not there to teach abiout this and cause problems in supports
Because he just says stuff...to appease the maximum amount of people.....he will never choose a side strongly
@@puresingingsoul But veganism saves soil, what are you talking about?
@@BenjoCovers- how does veganism save soil? How’s soil “re-generated”?
I have been vegan twelve years now and will never go back. Astrotheology will show you the cell salts you should be taking.
Why doesn't he be honest and straightforward and say that killing an animal is inflicting pain and suffering. That is wrong.
Why this long and politically correct explanation?
A guru should be honest.
I agree, but I feel sometimes people under estimate what survival is for people. In the USA right now is also very expensive and jobs are very hard to come get. Certainly this sounds stupid if reading from a poor country. Well, you haven't been in this position, where cost of living is so high and work has become so difficult to get. We eat whatever we can find. This isn't 2010, new problems have come. Nobody will help and becoming veg is the least of our problems
Vegan for animals❤ always !
Funny asking that question to a non vegan.
That actress looks high.
He himself that 77% of land on this planet is being used for animals only for their feed while fighting for soil!!! U should promote less land usage and more rewilding of the land and afforestation of that land which was used for animals feed .if more people become vegan more of that land will be rewilded and left alone for the nature to occupy. All of us 8 billion humans need only quarter of that total land for agriculture. He says I can't tell people what to eat it's about whom to eat.Animals are sentient beings wtf is he even spouting if he doesn't understand the concept of sentence and forcible killing. He should visit slaughterhouses for one day and then should speak again.
Sadhguru is Vegetarian NOT Vegan
Vegan also makes little sense to me
Mega
❤
This isn't about ideology or morality its about health. Take your crusade elsewhere people. I was a vegan for five years and I lived in a vegan community and worked at a vegan restaurant. I can tell you from my experience that i was sickened by the fundamentalism and judgment of vegans on non-vegans.
Talking about food if you eat lean meat, especially lamb. If you look at the size of your palm, that’s how big your meat should be for the day.. one serving of meat for the day is enough you should eat breakfast. Lunch should be your biggest meal of the day. Dinner should be light lotta fruits and vegetables more vegetables than fruit.. and beans are very good for you as well. basically, a Mediterranean diet..
Don't eat that poor lamb. Think compassion for the poor things suffering. Eat diverse pulses and cereals along with your lovely veggies and fruit platters.
