As much as I am chomping at the bit for the release of Starfield in a few days, this game is the number one pill of excitement that I cannot wait to swallow. Having in the last couple of years really gone to town on buying and reading many books on the War in the Pacific, particularly the naval battles, I can honestly say that this game, and the obvious attention to detail and historical accuracy that the developers have invested in, really excites me. I realise that there is a lot still to do but the visuals look amazing as it is at present. Thanks for this demo and have had to subscribe.
I agree 1000 percent agree. the making of this game is awesome been here since 2021 when I saw the pics, hope they release even an early access I still believe the game won’t release till 2024
@@w4rl0rd93 The are going to have a fundraiser around December to get a little bit more money so they can add some extra features that they would do otherwise. This makes me think that a demo (A single scenario, ie. the historical battle of coral sea) will be release around Christmas (what I have heard), and a full version will come out in early 2024.
There is surface combat. This demo doesn't show it, but all ships that fought in 1941-42 are available with simulated ballistics and armor penetration. It is possible to have a Yamato vs North Carolina battle in this game. Also, battle will take place over multiple in game days. For example, if you play the Midway scenario, it will likely start at June 1st, which is 3 days before the main battle actually started. And the scenario can run till the 10th. It will likely be even larger than that but that is what I currently know.
What would be nice is if they could use the soundtrack music to the movie Midway back from the 70’s. It certainly looks like a great game visually. What is the object to win? Do you have to blow up every enemy ship?
muito bom, acho que seria interessante deixar o projeteis das defesas AA mais visiveis, não se vê quando se está de longe, acho que seria mais "empolgante"
You can say what you like about the Battlestations games, but they were my introduction to the world of WW2 in general and wargaming in particular, so they're alright by me.
This isn't really a demo of the gameplay, more a demo of the graphics engine, the physiques engine, the damage models of the ships, the ship and plan AI, and a display of how you the player will view the world. It is less a traditional demo and more a variable replay. They will likely release a actual demo around December for most people to play.

On my Steam wish list.
Hopefully this game is a success relatively to the genre, that way we can get campaigns and surface combat in the future.

Oh, i definitely want a big box wich then sits next to my other MicroProse big boxes from the 80s and 90s.
Damn, I have always wanted to launch my own air strike.

Any idea on the cost once it's available? I'm looking forward to this one!
I heard between 20-50 USD

if only they had a campaign mode! That would make this a perfect game for me. A way to run the war frm theater to theater to the end of the war.
How do you get the demo?
It was provided to early supporters of the game.
sooo graphics but no gameplay? not a very useful demo...
Think about a game where it’s just demos of crazy battles. I’d be down to buy that and just watch AI fight crazy historic battles.
