Agreed. I'd like to see the sequel to this song. Both people try to leave many times but end up back together holding on the way things were or could be. Saying goodbye isn't always possible when you have a kid together. A song that brushes the surface of my everyday life. It's endearing and uplifting to see how so many people can relate to this song.

I connect so deeply to this song, even though it came out a while ago, every time I listen it just… it just gives me a sense of nostalgia. Being afraid of change, being too scared to move on, I know that feeling, like my best friend, she and I were just beginning to get closer, and I really liked her. If things happen and you know… people change, she and I had this huge fight and that we can’t still make amends till this day. I realize that I was afraid of change, I realized that my bestie changed but I just didn’t want to or better yet, I was afraid to and now we still carry the grudges of the past with us. So the lesson here is don’t be afraid of change, change is good and lead you to better things. It isnt too late to make amends. Work up the courage and think about what you want to say to her. Tell her you're sorry, along with whatever you wish to mention about what happened, and tell her you miss being friends. Maybe talk with her a bit about things and the change you're afraid of to get it off your chest, and allow her to do the same.
@@RjGoombes and another thing that made things messy was that emotions got involved, more importantly my emotions, I fell in love with her, I know I am not the first guy to fall in love with his girl best friend but it just made it worse as she told me that she already knew I had a crush on her, like she was discrediting my feelings. I would never tell her the truth, she thinks that it was just a normal crush but I know better I fell in love and I fell hard but who am I to ruin her happiness by telling her this!!!
