I left my abusive ex in early July in 2020. This song felt like it was made for me when it came out. He would scream at me to leave and when I finally did he put up a fight. I'm glad I got me and my dog out. We have our own house now but mama is still recovering from what I went through. I'm so very greatful for my doggie who is so protective, loyal and loving with me. yep, can confirm, heartbreaking l too am listening to it on loop while lying down. Sadly I can't throw my people out of my life(emotionally abusive parent who increases my stress 10 fold) my "friends" didn't care when I let down my emotional mask, they felt I was too angry and defensive and tried to abandon me completely, my sibling gave me trust issues. I can't start over, and I can't pick new people. My other parent isn't horrible, I prefer a distant parent to an emotionally unstable and abusive parent.
