    I've been working off of someone's throwaway TA-03F for quite some time and I'm ready to pick up my own TT-02. Nice budget mods! Going budget is definitely my style. 😎

    I race my TT-02 Raikiri GT. No motor cover, ball bearings, Xtra large front and rear foam bumpers, hole in the crown gear cover so I can lube it. 2S 5200 Gold Bat Lipo. I will install SCT nerf bars on the side of the TT-02 chassis for protection. I have that battery alarm. What did you do to make it work? Do you plug your batt into it when you run the car? How did you set it to the desired voltage cut-off? Nice car, like the body. My Raikiri is candy yellow with bright silver metallic backer...looks like a sparkly gold bar. Thanx...

    Hi! great video! How about the quality of the tt02 chassis? I am between this chassis and the kyosho fazer mk2..because both have 2 differentials, but I don't know which one will have more resistance and longevity, which of the 2 will resist, more speed, without damaging, differentials, gears, arrows ... greetings and a strong hug!

      I have since made the car brushless and has been holding up well. I don’t know much about fazer so I can’t compare. Tamiya parts are everywhere and plentiful, not sure on kyosho. Something to think about.

      I would go with a TT02 any day. It has better parts availability.

    Hey can the shocks can be opened? I want to put some oil shocks but im confused

    • @GMCHDSierra
      @GMCHDSierra  3 роки тому +1

      If they are friction shocks there isn’t any oil included. If you can twist the tops off they have oil. Do a search for tamiya shocks, that should help you.

    You made the opposite from me 😂 I purchased the tt-02d because it had the oilshocks bearings cooler and some better plastic parts in the box.... But for driving not for drifting 😅
    But for drifting Tamiya really should have put a diff lock in the package.
    I don't know if the gearing is different from the Standart tt02??
    For the moment I don't feel the need for a brushless conversation... Is fast enough for my purposes (Sport tuned). I like these brushed things haha

    Hi. Does it run straight when in straight line speed pass? Mine steers to either side when applying throttle. At very low speeds works ok.

    • @GMCHDSierra
      @GMCHDSierra  4 роки тому

      I have actually noticed the same problem at high speeds. I blame it on my brushless setup, maybe not meant for this chassis. Probably can be remedied with some good tuning, but I mainly use it for drift anyway.

      @@GMCHDSierra I use 3900kv brushless motor and 60a ESC. I've done almost everything to correct the issue. Still can't fix it.

    • @digitalguy7859

      It's from torque steer due to the nature of the chassis with the spinning shaft. Hard to fully get rid of. Make sure steering is tight and shim all your diffs and wheel hubs to reduce play. That helped a bunch.

      About at what speed do you think it starts to happen? Was looking at picking up on of these, but might pass on it, if this is a huge problem. Mainly just want to bash in the street, but if it can't hold a straight line at 30-40mph, I'll look at something else.

    • @edwincordero8
      @edwincordero8 4 роки тому +1

      @@JasonGN2045 At about 30-35mph begin s the nightmare. But two weeks ago I fixed the problem. Solution? Replaced all steering cup linkages with the ball ones that use 3mm screws. Now is perfect. Also added a gyro. Wow friend. Now I love my TT-02 RR with Buggyra Fat Fox body shell. Watch the Buggyra video on my channel. Thanks.

    Is that a 2s or a 3s lipo your using?

    • @GMCHDSierra
      @GMCHDSierra  2 роки тому

      2s, I think 3s was too much for it if I remember correctly.
