First look at Cornwall 'stadium' as it nears completion for Truro City FC season

The dream of a Stadium for Cornwall may be dead and buried but a new 'stadium' has risen from the ground at the same site and is soon to be completed. A lack of funding and private investment partner put an end to the plans for a 10,000-seat venue for the Cornish Pirates and Truro City Football Club near Truro last year.
However Truro City decided to go it alone, largely using funds provided as part of the deal to sell off its Treyew Road ground to create what is now a Lidl supermarket. It has used the proposed Stadium for Cornwall site at Langarth, next to the Truro Park and Ride, to construct a shiny new ground.
And although a completion date cannot yet be ascertained, it is expected to be the home of the White Tigers for the start of the 2024/25 season in August.
